I will never use their gun department for an FFL again. Not only did they let my FFL expire, lied about notifying me, they refused to give me the shotgun after 30 days of the FBI not notifying them. Which by law they can do. So now we are shipping it back to Palmetto and we'll start the process all over again only this time with a real gun dealer instead of a bait and tackle store. They don't answer their phone, worst customer service I've experienced in a longtime. Using AZ Guns and they only charge $20 for an FFL whereas Bass Pro Bait and Tackle charges $50. read more

There is so much to look at in this store! Clothes, camping gear, clothes, guns, off road vehicles, boats, food, toys, I could go on and on. I always allow at least 2 hours even when I know what I'm going in for because I end up looking at a few other things while I'm there. This store has two levels with so much to look at. Total crap!! Ordered a trolling motor from them 10 days before Christmas and it showed as being "In Stock". Called to check on the order a couple of days later and was told it had shipped direct to me from the factory, but they could not provide me with a tracking number. 4 days later, I checked my order online and it stated the order was canceled! Total garbage!!! I called them back again and they told me it was "Out of Stock" so the order had been cancelled. ALL BS from BPS!! Will never order or spend my money there ever again!!!! read more

Terrible experience. I tried placing an order 3 times online and they would cancel it without notice. Then a supervisor provided me with a coupon code and they canceled the code without letting me know. I called and Tiffany (she wouldn't tell me her last name) from the fraud prevention department wouldn't allow me to speak AT ALL. (Copied & pasted from my initial Google review & subsequent edit after further attempt to settle issue) Purchased a new firearm which had to be taken back because ammo would not load into barrel. Nearly a month later I was finally contacted and told the manufacturer said there is nothing wrong with it so therefore bass pro will do nothing other than refer me to a gunsmith that I can pay, even though their own employees had attempted to fit the proper caliber into the barrel. The person who called, from the gun department, repeatedly asked if I had test fired it & then why not. AFTER being reminded that the ammo would not load into the barrel and that it was literally impossible to fire a gun when the ammo doesn't fit . The lack of customer assistance, the lack of competence, the lack of actually inspecting a firearm by an employee who took nearly 20 minutes "checking everything" in a back room before handing the gun to me when I purchased it & the refusal to offer a refund or exchange on a defective product should result in an suspension of FFL at this location pending investigation & verification of proper employee training Edit: I would like to add that they blatantly lie when confronted. I never received "multiple voice-mails" to "the number I gave the customer service woman". My number was left on a voice-mail, not with a person, and I had no voice-mails. When I told manager to get the call records he offered, he ignored me and changed subject. Also, when I asked for a copy of the records & pictures that were sent to Taurus, I was told I needed a court order. In a different issue my daughter was told by a corporate manager that is not store policy and that when someone says that it means the records do not exist. I also found out; unfortunately after making the mistake of buying at Bass Pro, that my other daughter was sold a "new" firearm with no firing pin. When she tried to get them to fix it, she was told it was her problem . So to sum up.. They sell defective products. They do not provide customer support. They lie. The big aquarium is neat for checking out a few of the various kinds of fish that inhabit the lakes and streams of our country, but it's kinda hard for me to actually tell em apart. They have a good clothing selection for men and women as well as some good deals on the off season apparel. Bass Pro Shop also provides seasonal activities for the entire family. There's the target for adults and kids upstairs. A great selection of camping supplies. Grills, dehydrators, coolers, smokers, meat grinders, fishing supplies, traps, just so many different things. Horrible experience!! Apparently Bass Pro Shops doesn't like making money or satisfying a customer's needs. I came in to spend $4,000 on a Garmin Force trolling motor in the 57-inch model with a 10% discount that they were offering online. I called ahead to ensure that they had that model in stock because I couldn't find it on their website. I was only able to locate the 50-inch model and obtain a 10% discount on that. So while on a phone call with a gentleman named Brandon, I confirmed the model was in stock and was told I can come in and purchase the 57-inch model with a 10% discount in store using my club card. I had just received a club card a week prior for this specific purchase. Bass Pro Shops often has 10% off days online and in store. Last month every Tuesday in the month of June was a 10% off day in store and online. So here I am excited, I've been waiting years to purchase this trolling motor. It's been a dream of mine. The way Adrian the manager spoke to me indicated that he enjoyed a position of power where he decided whether or not you were going to make a purchase. It was quite frankly disgusting and he should not be a manager there. All in all this is the last purchase I'll be making from Bass Pro Shops. They failed at every point along the way of this purchase. It should have been a simple 20 minute transaction tops and ended up being 3 hours over the course of 2 days. I do not recommend this store to anybody who is seriously spending money on fishing/boat equipment. Go with another Outfitter and check your local shops. This has to be the most bittersweet purchase I've ever made in my life. I mean how often do you buy your dream trolling motor only to have it spoiled by the people selling it to you? We came at Christmas when I was at my wits end that the mall was charging $35 for a picture with Santa. Who can afford that, especially at Christmas? Least of all, who would want to? We ended up waiting for about an hour but I had my kindle and I held out place in line while the boys rode the carousel and played the games. They have tons of shiny new models (boats, quads, razors, etc.) to check out and as well as all the up to date camping, hunting and fishing supplies. There are also large sections of clothes and shoes (upstairs) for every activity with ample fitting rooms. The décor is impressive with wildlife at every turn and the employees are amazingly helpful! From sales to financing and delivery every person I worked with went out of their way. I had some lighting issues on my vehicle and expected to spend $300+ to get them fixed. Instead they walked me out to the sales floor and found a $13 adapter that solved the issue. The one issue I have with BPS is that there is usually a long line and few cashiers. Heard about the holiday photo service Bass Pro Shops holds every year so decided to take the family over. The place is ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE, and they do a really good job of handing out scheduled time slips for photos (so you don't have to wait in a massive line, you just go at your scheduled time). The best part is while you're waiting for your scheduled time, there's a ton of stuff to have the kids explore while they're there. We went drive remote controlled cars with my kids, play kinetic sand, digital shooting range, a built in stream with trout (yes real trout), and a waterfall that's near a glass elevator. It's almost like a miniature resort it's so cool here. If you're hungry they also have restaurants in the same building. All the employees were extremely nice and courteous and won't hesitate to take my family here again. read more

I went to return shoes from 2-3 years ago. The "manager" Mike didn't even know they're own return policy. I don't have a receipt, but you dont need one, for a return and the shoes are not worn down. I wore the shoes 5-6 times and they are awful. The manager said I would have known earlier that they weren't to my liking. Obviously, this guy does not put a couple miles with boots on in the woods. the worst part is I had to show them their own return policy online which they're not aware of. I went to the store on Dobson in Mesa, Az the staff including the manager were very disrespectful and rude. I stood at a counter for approximately twenty minutes while an employee had a personal conversation with another person who was not there to make any purchase. When he finally acknowledged me he asked if I had been helped even though he watched me standing there for the 20 minutes. Then without dragging out the story he refused to help me with some questions I had saying he wasn't allowed to do so. I later found that was untrue to request I made was for an explanation which was available to the salesperson to show me in order that I had a full understanding of the document. They're fine for most things they carry, but dear lord, do not buy firearms from them. Their background check process has all the speed and efficiency of the local DMV. Seriously - I've seen glaciers move faster than this process. I went there to buy a small .22 pistol for my son. They helped me pick out a good option in less than 10 minutes, at which point they handed me over to the background check process. I stood there, quite literally, for over an hour. During this time, they managed to complete the check and sale of THREE guns to customers ahead of me. Three guns an hour is pathetic. I asked how much longer it would be and was told, "I honestly don't know". Well, 5 stars for honesty, I suppose. But two stars for everything else.
