My husband and I have been going here for years... every time we walk in we always get a hello. If I have questions the employees are always helpful. They have a wide selection of weapons for everyone. Decent prices and always willing to work with me. Most of the time Andrew helps us out and he's great! read more

Comedy, employee's could care less, been eyeing a Glock for a couple of weeks at this place, decided today i was gonna "pull the trigger" went AJI stood in front of the counter for like ten minutes and no one said a word to me, less than a foot away and if the guy would have looked up from his laptop he would have sold a Glock, lol, east valley tactical had one, ha ! I would expect nothing less than a smart ass condescending remark, any thing but customer service and you think you got 124 visits, thats the best read more

This is the most unfriendly place I've ever been other than divorce court. There wer 3 guys playing on their phones when I walked in. One of them said if you're here to sell or trade go to the back window. They didn't tell me that the owner was out to lunch. 20 minutes later I was told he'll be back shortly. I had about $700.00 retail value and $400 trade vale. I was offered $240 in trade and $180 if I sold. I knew I would take a beating but not that bad. The sales staff just pointed when I asked for revolvers. No words, no suggestions on overpriced guns. I would never buy from this place nor recommend it. read more

Horrible went to get a holster for a gun i bought from them, no help, tried to buy a 380 no help, this place is funny , they hired a black guy , he is good but everyone else is bad. I honestly don't think they like people of color, will not help you at all. Go to shoppers if you want a gun in Apache Junction read more

Absolutely terrible service. My wife and I went here this morning and found the employees eating and sitting on their stools. Not one word from them, not a hello, not a welcome in, nothing. . We continue to look at the weapons in the first cabinet, and my wife found a she was interested in. she had to go out of her way to get the attention of the gentleman sitting not more than two feet from us on his stool eating his food. still without a word, no.Hello, no, nothing. He comes over, opens the case and asks which one she points at the white 1.And as he pulled it out, she asked to see the box that it came in, since it was used she was going to verify it was including the original parts and accessories. still not one word from this employee.Still not one word was spoken to us since we walked in the store , he slammed and i'm not kidding , literally slammed the cabinet door turn to his right and walked into a backroom door and we stood there assuming he was going to get the box and return with it. eventually, he return.\nEd with the box , which did have all of the parts that we were looking for and this gentleman still said nothing to my wife. at some point, my wife asked him if it had the same trigger set up as the different colored one next to it in the case. And his reply was , he doesn't know anything about this gun maker , and that was it no other response. they seem very offended by questions. They seem offended by people coming in to buy weapons from them and obviously 0 interest in making a sale. So apparently they 're making good money and don't need to be kind to the customers coming in and looking at the other reviews for this gun store, we're not the only ones who have experienced this here, please save yourself a trip and do not shop here, absolutely the worst rudest. People I have ever met in a business in many, many years. And if you want to go in just for a laugh to see how bad those serv I would suggest go to this store and try to have them approach you and offer you service and see what kind of response you get yourself. It is almost comical. Needless to say, my wife put the gun down, looked at me and said, why are they so rude here? And I said, you know what, let's go somewhere else.So right now we're driving to bass pro shops. This place is worse than a joke. And I know these people read their reviews , and this person knows exactly who he is , and exactly what he did and i'm telling you , these people do not care one bit about being nice or kind or even pleasant. biggest jerks i've ever met! read more

I go here because it's close to my house, decent prices and selection. The customer service is never pleasant, usually short, rude or passive aggressive. read more

My favorite East Valley Gun Store they have everything! Large inventory, lots to take in. Knowledgeable & Helpful staff. Gun Smithing on site. Traded in my hunting rifle and received a fair price towards a new handgun. You missing out by not stopping to check them out. read more

Staff is so rude it's almost laughable. Don't approach any of these crotchety old men with any questions or you will be treated like a burden. Maybe stay at home and collect unemployment if you hate it so much read more

Good selection nice store but the workers could care less about helping and just sit spending time on there phones. Red beard guy was real short with answers and felt as if you were bothering him. Heard old guy in glasses as your first walk in on the right being rude as someone was trying to fill out paperwork. Raising his voice and just demeaning to him trying to make him look dumb. Would highly recommend taking business elsewhere for a business that appreciates it and is helpful. read more

You cannot ask for a friendlier, more professional staff. They handled FFL for me for a firearm purchased online for only $30, and then special ordered another handgun I was looking for. Purchase process was fast and easy without endless standing in line. Prices are very competitive - and if you need ammo, there is no better selection anywhere. They will have what you need, often when the big box stores do not. Highly recommended. read more

Got a great price on some guns I traded in blew Scottsdale Gun Club out the door by double! Generous and fair! Can't say enough good things about this place! Great experience. Usually firearms shops are arrogant and act like your business isn't important to them. Staff at AJI were knowledgeable and fun to work with. Great selection of firearms and accessories. Gave me a fair trade in price and I got a used firearm for a fair price as well. I will highly recommend this shop for everyone I know. read more

They have quite the selection but seems getting any help in this store is harder than surviving a nuclear blast. I walked around in here for 30+ minutes without one person greeting or saying much of anything. Their stuff seemed fairly priced and they certainly had a lot to chose from, sadly I only got to patronize and not purchase due to the lack of the employees seeming to think it was a self service establishment. read more

Won't be going back here. Very rude employees. Purchased plenty of items from other stores and never felt this way about any of those. These guys just so blatantly rude. read more

Been going here for a while and usually have decent experiences. However this time will now be the last time I'll ever go here. Asked an employee about the price of a used rifle, the employee turned around in his chair pulled out his phone and started scrolling on facebook then refused to talk to me... a full grown man. I was in disbelief will never be returning read more

I love this store. The prices are awesome and the selection is huge. It's some great Americana from the moment you see the store from the street until you walk out the door with your purchase in hand. Seriously, the prices are ridiculously awesome and the used gun selection is the largest I have ever seen because they treat people fairly on trade-ins. America how it should be. read more

I went in to see what they would offer me for my pistol, knowing that it probably wouldn't be a lot but just wanted to get a quote. It took the older man behind the desk 20 minutes to even notice I was there then gets out of his chair with so much attitude. I showed him the pistol, he huffed and puffed while looking at it telling me that these don't sell for much nowadays. That's fine, going to trade or sell I pretty much expected this. Then he gives me a sticky note with a quote on it, I said " Okay, perfect" he then goes" no it's not perfect dude" Dudes not professional at all, I don't care if you've been there since open or if people are bringing you crappy guns all day. I would never sell or trade here EVER. Not if my wife's life depended on it read more

I have been a customer for years and have always had great service and help from their staff.

I came into your store today to pickup a pistol purchased through Guns.com and delivered to your business. The pistol was received by Ryan Friday morning. I never received notification from your store of it's arrival. I found out it was there by shipper email stating it was delivered. When I came in this afternoon to pick the pistol up, I was told by your employee that you sold this gun in your store. I said that it was not in your store. He then told me I was taking away from 8 families by not ordering it through your store. He mentioned it several times during the paperwork process. It was a very uncomfortable. We have been coming to your store for around 15 years. Sorry to say, but even though your store is less than 1 mile away from me, I probably won't ever be back. I sent an email directly to them and never received a response read more

terrible just terrible. first time buying a gun and walked inside to the workers giving attitude and when you kindly ask for help they snap at you and tell you to wait. seems like they're always short handed. wanted to look at S&W and some worker was doing paper work on the glass case and gave me and someone else attitude for trying to look at them. never will go here again terrible experience for a first timer read more

Still a no go. Darker haired blading dude with glasses seems to always be having a bad day and takes it out on customers. He doesn't want to help anyone out. God forbid you want to check anything out, he'll be huffing and puffing the whole time. read more

Bought my first gun here, I was helped by Steve. He was absolutely amazing, didn't hustle me to buy any expensive gun. He made sure I found one that was the right fit for me, gave great advice, and made sure I did my research before settling with one. If you come in, go to this man. Great service and very knowledgeable. You'll know him when you see him, he's right in the front as soon as you walk in. read more

I just wanted to put a word out ...for AJI they are the best place to buy and sometimes trade in a gun !!! I have been dealing with them for over 10 years now. Even now that I moved over 300 miles round trip , for me to get there and back I still deal with them on a regular basis. Jeff , Taylor , Josh and Ryan always are helpful in steering me in the right direction for my guns and equipment needs. They are more than fair and have a GREAT Selection of New and Used guns.................THANK YOU GUYS FOR BEING SO AWESON !!! Vince Faiella read more

Now that I've lived in AZ for a while, I have to correct my review. This is a big gun store for AZ, not small. Most of the gun stores here are tiny because FFLs are so common. AJI has a lot of good guns and take care of their customers. I'm in here all the time to buy, sell, and ship guns. They're the best gun store in AZ. read more

I can't believe how bad this place has gotten. My nephew and I stopped in this morning to purchase a handgun and an AR. Serious money. There were two customers and several sales people there. The gun case was almost empty. We commented that there were slim pickings. The salesperson said "yep" and just walked away. We stood there for about five more minutes, completely ignored. We finally gave up and went to another gun shop that was fully stocked with great customer service. We spent over $1,500. PS. This is the only gun store I have ever been in that prohibits the carrying of loaded firearms. No wonder they have no inventory or customers. read more

You will not find a more honest gun shop anywhere. I have been a customer for a very long time, am always treated with respect and they have always been overly fair in trades, purchases both buying and selling. Here is the deal treat them with respect, dont act like you are better than them and you will be treated well, really well. read more

Convenient local gun shop that needs some major remodeling and reorganizing, but the place has character (?). Some things you can find, but a lot of their accessories are in piles or in boxes, or displayed haphazardly. Prices are pretty good on most things, but service is iffy. You can't tell the employees from the customers and if they're busy it's sometimes hard to get their attention. They do have a lot of used firearms and it's interesting to look through that stuff from time to time. read more

This little place is old school but helpful. The selection isn't bad and practice ammo is pretty cheap. The selection of ammo needs a little help. Excellent selection of AR/AKs. I usually buy my guns online but recently purchased a couple from AJI. The prices were reasonable for firearms, but kinda pricey for some of the accessories. The one thing that was kinda cool is they have many old school vintage guns for sale . Some very historical and old west looking. Buy at your own risk kinda thing, but really cool. They have a pretty knowledgeable staff. They did tease me a bit about being a woman and also about maybe having a bad background check which turned out fine. (Playing with me) But they were quick to do my check and within 15 mins I was done and on the road. Over all not a bad place and handy in a pinch. read more

So rude. It was busy, except for the shotgun counter. We waited about 15 min for one of the "good ol' boys" behind the shotgun counter to finish his conversation with his friend, then he tried to just walk away without helping us. When my husband asked for help, he was visibly irritated and rushed us away. We're going somewhere else to spend our money. What a jerk. read more

I bought my very first firearm from this FFL. I ended up getting a Springfield Armory Hellcat. I'm in love with my purchase. The gun came in fantastic condition as it was brand new. Affordable firearms, most of which (maybe all?) are tested. However I would thoroughly inspect for any issues or defects as my AR 12 gauge had a broken buttpad once I disassembled I realized. Happy ending on this story though as I hit up the manufacturers and they replaced it for free. read more

Went to AJI GUNS on 11/26/21. My first visit to a gun store in my life. My son is turning 21 next week and has been asking for a gun for several years now. My girlfriend, who carries a small pistol at all times, and her husband, who also has many guns, both highly recommended this place to us. They both said it was the only place they buy their firearms and accessories and said it was the perfect place to go, especially for first time gun shoppers. We went in the day after Thanksgiving and it was very busy. There were a lot of employees working. Many of the Yelp reviewers described the employees as being rude and unfriendly. Oddly, my first impression was that the employees were hyper-alert and very aware of the customers and all foot traffic walking around the store. Not growing up around guns and being unfamiliar and uncomfortable with guns my whole life, I was concerned about being in a store surrounded by guns and bullets etc. I actually very much appreciated the serious disposition exuded from all the employees. It's a GUN STORE in the middle of AJ no-less. If you want the warm and fuzzies go home and watch a Hallmark Christmas Movie. I wasn't expecting a cheery, Rose -faced, sweet-filled comforting welcome upon entering. Honestly, I would've felt less safe if that would have been the case. To quickly summarize our overall experience, We received friendly, knowledgeable and professional service from the girl that was working on this day. Every employee was actively engaged at some level with all of the customers. The background check was done within minutes and we were also given a card along with our receipt for a complimentary session at a local shooting range. (Which my son LOVED). I was also shown several small pistols that I am interested in getting for myself for running. I loved the old school, conservative vibe of this place and the staff is far more invested and knowledgeable on their products than any employee at a larger, big box business. read more

Great place to look and buy. All kinds of guns, ammo and accessories. I came in looking for 7.62x39 AK ammo that I couldn't find at a much larger store, and AJI had a lot of well priced AK rounds and .308 rounds.
