A little disappointed in Vans.. went in to get 2 dozen pro Vs asked clerk if they match price he said yes so I said PGA has 2 dozen for $99 .. his reply was that's a promotional gift pack but we are out of those. Went to numerous stores to get fitted and they all gave me horrible customer service, turned to Van's next and not only were they able to get me fitted but I got a couple swing tips as well, you just don't see this kind of customer service anymore. I went in for a retirement gift. Service was awesome, and quick. Nice store. Lots to choose from.

So - random traveler here again - but this was a big save for me and I thought that it was going above and beyond for a random traveler. The story goes like this. I have some golf clubs - and the driver has a space to add a weight if I wanted to. I think the weight I had was like 1.3oz and I was looking for a 4.1oz to replace it. I went all over Scottsdale - I went to some really fancy studios where they do custom fittings, and other golf shops - even the PGA Superstore and all of them had the same answer- "sorry can't get you that weight on its own / just doesn't work that way." Then I get to Van's and the whole story changes - the folks there were awesome. They asked how they could help - I told them what I was looking for - just the 4.1oz weight (I had everything else I needed) and they said "no problem" the ordered it from TaylorMade and had it drop shipped to my house. Completely awesome - the simplest transaction I have had in a long time. They went out of their way to help me and I am very thankful for that. This is the place. read more

I'm not much of a "reviewer" individual but I had gone to PGA super store, Dicks, and then PXG, and I just didn't get the type of experience as I did when I tried the small store in east mesa, Vans Golf. GREAT EXPERIENCE!! Everyone was helpful and answered all my questions. I don't know the young man's name who works in the back in the repair shop, but he is AMAZING! He went above and beyond when explaining grip selections as well as different shaft options. I'm sort of a beginner golfer and was clueless. I took eleven clubs to have new grips put on and they were done by the end of the day. Friendly and fast service.

This was my second time coming in here. I needed some grips on a few clubs and wanted to look at maybe upgrading my driver out of frustration of my shot. Rick helped me choose some grips and did the work right away. Then afterwords while looking at clubs he again assisted me in questions I had about my issues with my drive and even took the time to go with me on the simulator and give me great help. Vans golf shop is by far the most professional. They have really talented people there and after a year of looking I finally found somebody to help me find a set of clubs for me. All the big superstores don't seem to care about selling clubs but I guess they're not on commission I'm told.. thanks to Bill, the person that helped me at the location on power Road in Mesa. When I searched for vans online it only showed the one location on Camelback Road. The salesman told me that there are actually five in the city. You need to get that fixed. Love vans! read more

He said the store should have allowed me to return the defective Puma golf shoes, apologized for what transpired and said this would be used as a learning experience for the store person involved. Everyone at Van's Golf Shop is fantastic. They have to deal with so many ridiculous situations, but always find a solution to the problem. The 90 day exchange policy is more than fair, but some like to abuse it and shift the blame where it doesn't belong. I have personally witnessed a few of these so called grievances and details are always left out. Retail is a tough job. I give those employees credit for hanging in there. As a long time golf customer I understand that we as customers are not always right. Take every review with a grain of salt and remember, if you don't have anything good to say, then say nothing at all!! read more

Most of the staff is usually nice, however the club repair guy who has been there for years is a miserable person who is very rude. I would suggest going anywhere but here. Literally any other vans just not this one. read more

Found this store on Yelp. I was looking for new grips for my clubs. When I arrived I searched around for the grips. No one offered to help me. I found the massive number of grips and looked for someone to help me. The person in the club gripping shop finally walked out and I asked him for help. He told me he could not help me because grips were a "personal choice". I told him I wanted help choosing the size. He walked away as he told me it was my choice. I found another worker and asked for help. He curtly told me it was my choice as he walked away. Don't waste your time here if you want any customer service. I went elsewhere and was walked through a complete process in evaluating my game, hands and purchased a complete set of grips. Real sad! read more
