Decent place to practice and fun atmosphere, cool music. However, at $18 a pop for a large bucket, the golf balls are beat and need to be replaced. Hard to see how your ball flies with no dimples on the ball. read more

This is a mixed review but Gil (on-site instructor) bumped my rating to five stars. To start, the range is nice with grass to hit off of instead of mats. As mentioned, because so many frequent this course the range balls are in bad shape at times. Although my last visit the range balls were good as I didn't find a majorly scuffed up one. Range is lit halfway with targets and distance. This alone I would probably give 3 stars. Gil makes up for the rest. I've been through a few instructors who just didn't do it for me let alone help me drop my scores. When I met Gil I constantly shot in the 100's. After about a little over 1.5 years of practice and drills I'm constantly shooting in the 80's and taking my friends monies. Gil has provided me with mental strength for my game and awesome alignment and contact drills that I can take with me anywhere. I would suggest if you are looking for help this is your place and Gil can sort you out. Don't be afraid to step into a lesson atmosphere and learn a little. Enjoy the game! read more

Decided to take a lesson with Rory based on prior reviews here and I am very happy I did! I've taken lessons from various instructors or programs over the years and this first lesson was the best lesson I've ever had! Rory was able to tailor the lesson to my goals as a client and worked with the swing I already have. He provided a few pointers on my swing that I was able to immediately apply and will help me out on the course right away - something I asked for. He is an excellent, positive coach and I've already signed up for more lessons as I was so impressed with what I was taught already. driving range could use some work. They have a bunch of good targets but they save all the good grass for the lesson area.

Very nice, easy driving range. Bring cash, 5s and 1s for the vending machine, and then go hit.

Went there for first time today w my 16 year old son. We are novice and have only hit a couple of rounds of Top Golf previously. The staff were friendly and helpful with getting us geared up to hit a bucket of balls at the golf range. A good fun afternoon out. Will go back for sure. Previous review says exact change is annoying for ball machine but you do have the option of paying by card or non exact change at the shop. Prices for balls were $7 for 60 balls (med bucket) ; $12 for 120 balls (large) and there is a small bucket but we didn't take much notice of that one. read more

Great hitting balls off grass. Good putting and chipping areas as well. Plenty of room for everyone without feeling crowded. Balls are a bit used but there are enough good ones in a bucket. I wish I didnt need exact change to get balls, perhaps a credit card machine would be nice. However I live close and plan on being back often! read more

They have a great setup there. You can work on iron accuracy with the greens and chipping accuracy with the close targets. My only complaint (reason for one star reduction) is that the golf balls are all junk. They are mismatched, have flat spots, worn out covers, and feel like they've been hit a million times. I had over a dozen balls fly in an odd weaving flight which resulted in half the distance or less. It's too bad when you're trying to gauge distance and work your irons. The large putting green is in great shape and offers about a dozen holes to choose from. A great place to practice putting or chipping. If they invest in some new golf balls, this place will be my go-to! read more

Last year I was at the Gilbert Golf Center on the range hitting some balls, a little self conscious. I had some medical issues the previous fall, I was approached very casually by Rory. He made me feel so comfortable that I asked for some help. Fast forward a year, I'm from Mn. and make it down for a couple months. Rory has been a great teacher of the game, his people skills are fantastic. His knowledge and grasp of working with the skill level of each golfer is great. You can really tell he cares about his career, his business, and his clients. Rory introduced me to Aaron, who also represents the golf center very well. I have started to work with Aaron in their new training facility. Working mostly on flexibility and some strength. Aaron is very knowledgeable and also has awesome people skills. After doing some research I decided to come here and take lessons with Rory Walker. I am so pleased that I did! Last eveningI went to the Gilbert Golf Center Driving Range to hit some balls and met the Head Professional Mike. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. We talked a long time about my golf experience. He introduced me to Ron in the cabana who set me up with some range balls. After I hit a large basket of balls I went back and talked to Ron. He told me about the golf course and everything they do to promote golf in the area. I found this to be a very friendly atmosphere that I could relax and learn more about golf. I have been golfing a long time, Self-taught with some very deeply ingrained swing flaws preventing me from playing at the level I desire. Decided to take advantage of the "Summer Lessons Special" they have going on at Gilbert Golf Center, and very glad that I did. Received much more value than I paid for. Worked with Rory. Very knowledgeable, patient, personable, and generous with his time. It was apparent from the first lesson that Rory wasn't just in it for the money, and genuinely wanted to make a difference in my game. My 11 year old has been working with Rory over the past year and what an amazing experience for him! He has taught him everything he needs to know. Rory has done a great job with him teaching the fundamentals of golf and even taking him out on the course. I have been a poor recreational golfer for about 15 years and was always been too stubborn and cheap to pay for a lesson. I mistakenly thought I could figure it out on my own. The result was that I would embarrass myself when I went out to play and rather than have fun, I would end up extremely frustrated. This year I thought about giving up golf completely but then decided I would try the driving range a few times to see how it went. That is when I met Rory. He saw me hacking on the range; frustrated and deflated. He came over and asked if I was open to a pointer. I said sure and he proceeded to show me how my swing was not on the correct plain. In five minutes, he guidance made a major difference in my ability to hit the ball. That's all it took for me to see the value in taking a lesson and I signed up for 5. Since then, Rory has walked me through the basics step by step, always taking plenty of time to answer my questions and correct my bad habits. He has made a tremendous impact and I now have a new found passion for golf! After each lesson, I notice progress. When I completed my 5th lesson, I wanted to sign up for 5 more but Rory told me to come back the next week (at no charge) and he would continue to work with me. He said I wasn't quite at the level he hoped for after 5 lessons. Rory has never been about the money and I know he truly enjoys helping people. As a newer golfer of only a few months, I decided that I wanted to learn correctly from the get go. So I decided to seek out some lessons. I was so grateful to find Rory, who is such an awesome coach, at Gilbert Golf Center. Gilbert Golf Center is really convenient with late hours and lit driving and putting ranges, which is really helpful since I golf after work during the week! But I really appreciate Rory and his methodology of building on the basics of the swing and ensuring you are grasping the concepts prior to moving to the next skill. Rory is such a talented golf professional but has a laid back approach to teaching and communicating techniques, which allows him not to be belittling or intimidating for a newbie, like me. It is apparent that he truly cares about your improvement in the game! Rory doesn't do a generic lesson either, he really works with your natural swing, your quirks, helps make adjustments and builds upon what you do well. I take lessons with my friend and we have very different swings/strengthens/weaknesses and Rory is able to understand our swings on an individual basis and apply individualized coaching! I have already seen dramatic improvement in my game! All in all, Rory is a great, affordable, understanding, and approachable golf coach and I am looking forward to many more lessons with him! read more
