After 3 lessons with Frank, I feel I can officially leave this 5 star review…read more I started golfing about 10 years ago and over that time had gotten myself as good as I could on my own. I'm an athlete and learn very quickly so honestly wasn't too bad of a golfer. But I knew I had hit my ceiling of what I could teach myself. Plus I wanted to get my first custom fit set of irons and wanted to fix any swing problems before getting fit. When I came to Frank for my first lesson, I was not using my driver because of how inconsistent I was, and I was battling a hooking draw with my low-mid irons. Within my first few practice swings, Frank was able to point out exactly what I needed to change. After only 3 lessons I can honestly say that with my irons I'm striking the ball better, and hitting my target at a much more consistent rate. I now understand my swing mechanics better and why I was dealing with a hook so I can continue to improve. We didn't even pull out the driver until lesson 3, where after putting together all my swing/set up adjustments from the first 2 lessons, I promptly hit 4 of my best drives in a long time, right in a row. I have many more lessons to go, but I'd recommend Frank to any golfer who is ready to take their game to the next level. Also, he's just a nice guy and I think that's really important from a coach.

Oh boy.... As much as I loved reading the reviews, I really knew not to expect these same amazing…read more results, but was hoping for improvement. I've been playing in and off( mostly off) for a year and am inconsistent at best! Wellllll my first lesson I noticed improvement and was left shaking my head, , the second blew me away.... I was doing much better after just one lesson, but even better after the second, and now after my third, I really feel confident I can do this! Explaining why know I can do this! I can't explain why or how... but his determination and confidence in what I can do made me believe I could too. He made changes to my stance and grip and showed me why and how the small adjustments make a big difference . I don't know which one of us gets more excited when I hit a shot in the air and down the middle , but it's awesome !

Signed up for a swing eval, knowing it was also a way to generate leads for a sale they had…read more Eval was great, staff was great, location is great. I got a tweak to my swing that was simple, easy to apply and showed immediate results. I think it's fair to say that Golf-Tec is not cheap but I think the facility, swing analysis and coaching I got to improve were a clear value. So yeah, I signed up for their big lesson, fitting, etc package (also not cheap) and got myself scheduled out. Lesson package was very flexible IMO and I can share my lessons with my son who is just starting out. I've been back since and my previous tweak was still holding and we added another one that was harder but I was able to accomplish. Combined I was pushing my 7-iron a solid 15-30 yards longer, consistently. I also practiced on their simulators after my lesson and that was fun too. All the staff I've met are great so far. So yeah, can't ask for more than that. I recommend Golf-Tec and especially this location.

For some reason after multiple emails i was not confirmed. Even though i received one. The guy that was fresh out of golf Tec school. Asked me to come back later that day. Was a 30 min drive there so really? So I agreed to come back. My instructor had no clue how to operate the software, stating corporate changes it all the time. That right there takes away a skill an instructor uses daily. Not sure who's fault. The unfortunate part of the whole experience was his notes. How could you teach two things that completely disagree with each other. Then the price tag. The lesson plans were absurd. Never mentioned the deal for Father's Day. All around a pretty odd experience. Probably could have gotten better advice from the guy in the snack shack that sells Cokes for $.75 Wouldn't go back.

We loved the small group personal attention we got from our coaches, to include Coach Martin. Not gonna lie, we got to our hotel exhausted each night. Every day was an exercise in deconstructing our bad habits into good ones. That grip, that grip, that grip. I promise at the end of the course you WILL know your correct grip. This makes a huge difference. I learned how to use my irons. I've been "allergic" to my irons because I never knew how to use them. Now I do. Our coaches, Jonas and Mike were problem solvers. They would work with me and keep trying to find the right solution to my issues until they were happy with the results. I can't wait to get to our local golf course to try out my new skills, thanks to Tour Striker Golf Academy. I highly recommend Tour Striker to anyone wanting to sharpen their skills on the golf course. Happy golfing ya'll!!

I've never had such a frustrating and embarrassing experience at a golf course. The course ranger,…read moreAbe, told me that I belonged on the driving range and that I did not belong on a golf course because of my skill level. This was after watching me play one single hole Apparently, that was enough for him to decide I had no business being there. He then continued watching me for another hole, standing directly behind me during my backswing and creating an uncomfortable, distracting environment that made it difficult to play my best. Rather than allowing me to enjoy my round, he made me feel unwelcome and singled out. The most frustrating part is that I was keeping pace with play. I was not holding up other groups or slowing down the course. I was simply out there playing golf, enjoying the game, and trying to improve like every golfer has to at some point. Golf is a sport that takes practice, and everyone starts somewhere. For a course ranger to tell a paying customer that they belong on the driving range instead of the actual golf course is incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. His job should be to help maintain the pace of play and ensure everyone has a good experience, not judge someone's ability after watching them play a single hole. Abe's attitude completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable round of golf. I understand that courses have rules and expectations, but if I am keeping pace and following the rules, I should not be harassed or asked to leave simply because someone doesn't think my golf game is good enough.

The First Tee of Phoenix is a non-profit organization created for the purpose of providing…read moreaffordable access to golf and golf learning facilities for young people -particularly those who otherwise might not have an opportunity to play. Besides the mission of teaching young people how to play golf, The First Tee of Phoenix also has a strong character development component - the Life Skills Experience. Life Skills is one of the unique features differentiating our organization from other successful junior golf programs. Membership and classes are for youth ages 7-17 years old. The First Tee of Phoenix offers a $60 annual membership - making this one of the most affordable sport programs you can enroll your child in. The coaches - most are volunteer - are top notch. And the program organizes additional outing to places like the Science Center, picnics in the park, Water Park summer activities, golf clinics with PGA professionals, and more. Our son has participated for the last three years (from the age of 9). He has grown, not only in his love of the sport, but also in his peer leadership skills. I highly recommend this program! We attend the South Phoenix branch (with it's own 9-hole course), but the program has partnerships with the City of Phoenix and its municipal courses throughout the Valley making it easy to find a location near you.
