Hornacek's has a huge selection of golf gear, from clothes to clubs and bags. They even have an amazing clearance section in the back, which I love checking out after my lessons. I scored a pair of last season's G/FORE shoes for a fraction of the original price. The staff there are always super friendly and ready to help. It's definitely a go-to store for anything golf-related!

As mentioned, because so many frequent this course the range balls are in bad shape at times. Although my last visit the range balls were good as I didn't find a majorly scuffed up one. Range is lit halfway with targets and distance. This alone I would probably give 3 stars. Gil makes up for the rest. I've been through a few instructors who just didn't do it for me let alone help me drop my scores. When I met Gil I constantly shot in the 100's. After about a little over 1.5 years of practice and drills I'm constantly shooting in the 80's and taking my friends monies. Gil has provided me with mental strength for my game and awesome alignment and contact drills that I can take with me anywhere. I would suggest if you are looking for help this is your place and Gil can sort you out. Don't be afraid to step into a lesson atmosphere and learn a little. Enjoy the game!

For some reason after multiple emails i was not confirmed. Even though i received one. The guy that was fresh out of golf Tec school. Asked me to come back later that day. Was a 30 min drive there so really? So I agreed to come back. My instructor had no clue how to operate the software, stating corporate changes it all the time. That right there takes away a skill an instructor uses daily. Not sure who's fault. The unfortunate part of the whole experience was his notes. How could you teach two things that completely disagree with each other. Then the price tag. The lesson plans were absurd. Never mentioned the deal for Father's Day. All around a pretty odd experience. Probably could have gotten better advice from the guy in the snack shack that sells Cokes for $.75 Wouldn't go back.

I got a tweak to my swing that was simple, easy to apply and showed immediate results. I think it's fair to say that Golf-Tec is not cheap but I think the facility, swing analysis and coaching I got to improve were a clear value. So yeah, I signed up for their big lesson, fitting, etc package (also not cheap) and got myself scheduled out. Lesson package was very flexible IMO and I can share my lessons with my son who is just starting out. I've been back since and my previous tweak was still holding and we added another one that was harder but I was able to accomplish. Combined I was pushing my 7-iron a solid 15-30 yards longer, consistently. I also practiced on their simulators after my lesson and that was fun too. All the staff I've met are great so far. So yeah, can't ask for more than that. I recommend Golf-Tec and especially this location.

If you are a beginner or looking for a quick practice round this is fine, but don't think that you should be using this as any true test of your golf game. I've been playing in and off( mostly off) for a year and am inconsistent at best! Wellllll my first lesson I noticed improvement and was left shaking my head, , the second blew me away.... I was doing much better after just one lesson, but even better after the second, and now after my third, I really feel confident I can do this! Explaining why know I can do this! I can't explain why or how... but his determination and confidence in what I can do made me believe I could too. He made changes to my stance and grip and showed me why and how the small adjustments make a big difference . I don't know which one of us gets more excited when I hit a shot in the air and down the middle , but it's awesome !

Three very simple tips later and only 15 minutes into my first lesson, Frank had me hitting straighter and more consistently than I ever have. Had lesson #3 today and cannot believe the results. My only regret is not reaching out to him sooner and instead spending the last year and a half on YouTube videos, endless hours at the range on my own and multiple rounds just getting more frustrated. In addition to being an amazing teacher and coach, Frank is just a great guy and fun to spend time with. Highly recommend!

So that's the mindset, something beyond the driving range but not a great test of my endurance. And most of all make it affordable since I may not make the round due to my injury and/or the heat. Played here in May. A friendly greeting by the staff. There was ice in the coolers and cart service as we made our round. This and the on cart GPS made it a very manageable time in the heat. The greens were in decent shape with some burn spots developing. Fairways were in okay shape but there were a few bald areas even this early in the summer. Overall this is one of the better executive courses I've played in the area. But measuring as a golf course, sub par. So take that into account.

Both the other woman and I are beginners, so playing an executive course like Springfield was ideal for us and still challenging for our husbands. We booked a tee time for 10:15 am on a Saturday. My husband and I arrived an hour early to practice at the driving range. At the time of our visit, the golf course was quite busy. There was a junior clinic at the driving range, which was cute to watch. We played a full 18 holes and had a wonderful experience. The course is beautiful and well maintained. Again, great for beginners. Prices are reasonable. We will definitely be back.
