Hornacek's has a huge selection of golf gear, from clothes to clubs and bags. They even have an amazing clearance section in the back, which I love checking out after my lessons. I got a tweak to my swing that was simple, easy to apply and showed immediate results. I think it's fair to say that Golf-Tec is not cheap but I think the facility, swing analysis and coaching I got to improve were a clear value. So yeah, I signed up for their big lesson, fitting, etc package (also not cheap) and got myself scheduled out. Lesson package was very flexible IMO and I can share my lessons with my son who is just starting out. I've been back since and my previous tweak was still holding and we added another one that was harder but I was able to accomplish. Combined I was pushing my 7-iron a solid 15-30 yards longer, consistently. I also practiced on their simulators after my lesson and that was fun too. All the staff I've met are great so far. So yeah, can't ask for more than that. I recommend Golf-Tec and especially this location.

I was doing much better after just one lesson, but even better after the second, and now after my third, I really feel confident I can do this! Explaining why know I can do this! I can't explain why or how... but his determination and confidence in what I can do made me believe I could too. He made changes to my stance and grip and showed me why and how the small adjustments make a big difference . Three very simple tips later and only 15 minutes into my first lesson, Frank had me hitting straighter and more consistently than I ever have. Had lesson #3 today and cannot believe the results. Full disclosure - I had swung a golf club maybe 2 times in my life before taking lessons. I am SO glad that I took lessons with Jim. He is very knowledgeable about the sport, but takes time to really understand you and works with you in the best method it takes for you to learn. I had a buddy (great golfer) look up a few courses for me in Chandler which right next to Phoenix and Ocotillo was his recommendation. I'm glad he found it for me. Let me start by saying this was not an easy course for a high handicapper (17) like me, but it was extremely fun to play. I don't think I've ever played 18 holes with so much water in play on the majority of the course. The greens were kept up (not fast at all), the fairways were nice, and the tee boxes were in good shape as well. I lost a lot of balls but not because of the difficulty of the course, it was simply bad play. I believe they have three 9 hole courses that they use and I started on what they call Oasis. It was a great front 9. Ironically, the back 9 felt a lot easier with less water, but there was still plenty of it to go round. If you're looking for a fairly difficult, yet fun course to play, you'll love this spot. The clubhouse crew was very customer service friendly as well from the moment you walked up and I only paid $97 for 18 with a cart with one day notice.

My husband and I booked a tee time at San Marcos Golf Course on Father's Day weekend. We chose an…read more11:00 AM tee time, which was significantly cheaper than the early morning tee times because it's usually in the 100+ degrees by then. We're used to it and we bring lots of cooling towels. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The driving range was limited to irons only during our visit, not sure why. The course was in great shape for the most part and the pace of play was ideal. There was no one in front of us or behind us pretty much the entire time. Food from the restaurant was decent. They provided a small "cooler" which is more like a small lunch bag for the drinks. The golf carts don't have coolers, which isn't a deal breaker, but a bit inconvenient especially since the lunch bag they gave us leaked and there wasn't a good spot for it in the cart. Regardless, we had a nice experience. We played all 18 holes and are excited to play again in the future!

Unlike many of the reviews I've seen, my experience was quite the opposite, in the best way. The course was in excellent condition, with some of the best greens I've ever played on in Arizona. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the pace of play was just right. We were never rushed from behind or held up by the group in front. The beer was cold, the food was hot, and honestly, I have no complaints. It was an amazing time from start to finish.
