Greenfield Lakes is a decent course that's perfect if you're a beginner and want to get a quick 9 holes in. The greens aren't the nicest but they're well-maintained and the staff is really friendly and helpful. They have clubs to rent and a driving range. The Greenfield Lakes Golf Course driving range is my go-to when I want to practice. It's very affordable. You get what you pay for. It's not the nicest driving range or the most high tech. It does offer Top Tracers in most of the bays and misters which is nice during the summer. I do wish they would fix the bays; the turf is uneven and it can sometimes be challenging to put a tee. Majority of the staff at the driving range are young but helpful for the most part. I've also played the course a handful of times. I actually played my first 18 holes at Greenfield just last year. It was perfect for me as a beginner since it's an executive par-62 course, while still challenging. The cart girls come around a couple of times and the marshall come around often making sure everyone is keeping pace of play. read more

I don't have a ton of experience with golf courses and ranges, so keep that in mind! I also only took advantage of the range and putting green. I'm not sure what I expected with the range, but it was a tad different then what I pictured! The parking lot is located right next to the range with a few various stand alone buildings, one being some sort of liquor store situation, one being "The Shack" and then another building where you check in and what I assume is their golf shop with a few various golf offering and fridge for beverages. The prices range from $8-$27 for a small, medium, large bucket of balls or Toptracer with unlimited balls for one hour. The staff was super friendly and helpful through the process, but it's definitely a bit chaotic and setup on a first come, first serve basis. So plan accordingly if you're looking for multiple bays. The range definitely left something to desire with lumpy greens and turf that made it difficult to put in any tees and the TopTracer being a bit finicky, but it definitely does the job and still a good time. Ample light for the evening and covered if you're in the desert sun. To snag your balls you put in a code, we took advantage of the unlimited option, but so have to revisit the golf shop for new codes every so often. The putting green is small, but offers lots of targets, that are moveable, no actual holes. I would visit again, simply for convenience and will check out the actual course when the opportunity arises! read more

Recently tried the driving range here again and this poor place is completely run down. Not sure how this range is even functional. From terrible no name pink range balls, to no real grass in front of the turf on the range, to dozens of ants crawling everywhere, not sure who is taking care of this place. Unmotivated teen kids still running the range club house area. Junk cars and golf carts just hanging out in the middle of the range... at what point do we realize ok those are destroyed and just making it look more like a dump?? I guess the reviews from home owners on this course in the NextDoor and Ring ads are completely right lol. read more

Love coming here at night since the range opens until 10pm. It gets pretty busy, but summer time it has calm down a bit. About first 10 bays have the top tracers to see how far your ball goes / play games. Bays are first come first serve. There is a putting green to practice and can do some small chipping. The course is nice to play! It's fun and challenging for beginners. It is pricey for range balls and courses (sometimes there are deals). Service is okay. read more

They do not care about the actual course, it's all dirt. It use to be beautiful, moved into the neighborhood in 2014 & the whole course was beautiful, greens were lush. Now its all dirt, any wind in the area creates its own dust storm, its ridiculous. New owners care only about the driving range. read more

I have Golfed here regularly since 2016. The condition of the course has improved greatly in the last 4 months. The Greens, fairways and approaches are being well maintained. The course also received new golf carts about 2 weeks ago. They put new range balls into service this week. The early morning staff that I interact with (Bob and Cindy) are very friendly and efficient. read more

Absolutely a horrible course. We play golf all over the country when we are on trips and this was by far the worst experience so far. In from out of town for a soccer tournament and the boys wanted to play a round. Two dads were driving the carts and 6 boys were playing. The course marshal (if you want to call him that) was rude and harassed us from the first hole to the point that we just went back and got a refund. He had a problem that we didn't have our own clubs.....even though we rented clubs from them. It had also already been explained that we were from out of town and didn't bring our own clubs. The manager was better than the marshal by far but still didn't handle the situation appropriately. The course didn't look like it was in good shape and also not very busy. Poor business decision to give up $300-$400 just being difficult. If it was possible I would give zero or negative stars but Yelp says they at least get one. The area seems to have many many golf course options. This one shouldn't be a choice. read more

I called today (02/10/24) to schedule the Valentine's Day Couples Golf Special for my boyfriend and me. A woman named Cindy answered, I told her why I was calling and she tells me to hold on. She places the phone down on what I'm assuming is the counter top/desk and I can hear her attending to other customers in the background. I understand she was busy, she sounded busy! After waiting for a few minutes, the phone was placed back on the hook and I was hung up on. I call back assuming it was an accident. The phone rang several times and Cindy answered again. I told her that I just called and I may have been accidentally hung up on. Her tone immediately changed, and she told me she's very busy, as though I'm an inconveniencing her. She slams the phone on the counter to attend to her other customers which I can hear in the background. I ended up hanging up the phone and I booked with another golf course. I received the promotion for the Valentine's Day Couples Golf Special through my email because my boyfriend and I have golfed at this course before. I would have loved to book online for the Valentine's Day special to avoid this entire interaction but when I went to the promotion page on the Greenfield Golf Course website, none of the links were working to book. It sounded like a great deal and we were very excited. But I suggest not advertising certain deals if you aren't capable of accommodating the reservations or possible influx of callers. read more

The range is okay, the top tracer is listed as "unlimited balls" but the guy running it, stalls you and gives you a small bucket to start I ran out then says "you only have 30 minutes left, you'll only get 1 small bucket and then you're out" so I only got 45 minutes as opposed to the hour they advertised in "unlimited" balls. There really needs to be a ZERO star rating option! This is the worst goat track (goat track is being kind) in Arizona. I played here on Sunday, February 23, 2025. Tee time started at 12:35pm, we booked it for 12:22pm. It took over two hours and 40 minutes to get through nine painful holes. Yes we booked for 18, but it was SO BAD, we left after nine holes! Horrible course conditions, and the poor kids assigning carts and getting people started were abandoned by the guy who appeared to be the starter. This guy who appeared to be the starter was terrible at customer service in the brief time he was even around (hope he is a volunteer and not getting paid). I anticipated going in and asking for a partial refund, but the way this course is run, my feeling was it would be a waste of time, they just don't care. Never, ever will I go there again, for anything, and will go out of my way to tell others. read more

Not what I expected. My daughter lives a couple blocks away. So I have been meaning to play a round. I have heard all pros and cons. Heard it's a party course and not much more. So as a golf enthusiast, I'll play any course at least once. Friend and I played last week. I actually had a great time. It was like I took a break from the tougher courses and enjoyed it. This is a par 66, has plenty of par 3's with some par 4's and 5's mixed in. It was easy and enjoyable. I can see why some golfers come here to have a great time. Such an easy; get out hit a few balls and call it a good day driving range experience! Bring ur own clubs if u have some. Walk to the driving range area right next to the concession stand. For a contactless experience, I recommend just going straight up to the ball machine and buying as many balls as u want! Just put in the right amount of cash & out comes ur balls! The lighting at night is not that great if u want to see exactly where ur ball actually lands on the range, and it's not the most well kept or prettiest course around town, but it gets the job done with sharpening up ur golf swing or if u just want to get out and whack a ball as hard as u can! Their driving range is open til 10pm, which is much later than many other golf courses, so u can whack as many birdies as ur hip allows! read more

They oversell this course like crazy. Today I booked a 4some for 2:45pm... plenty of time to get through a round. I get there and find out after I get to the 1st hole that they have 17 foursomes on the front 9!! There is a group of 6 in front of all of them not keeping pace. There were many holes that we were told to keep up, although we couldn't actually do anything. Always waiting on someone ahead of us. Get to hole 16, and we get kicked off because we didn't finish the round... and am told by the Marshall that it's our own faults and we should have booked a time earlier. Rude staff. They gave me back $2 each for the 2 holes not played. Told me to call next week and take it up with the owner. read more

I concur with the sentiments expressed by others regarding this course. There is significant potential for improvement, possibly on the order of 100-fold compared to its current state. The proprietors ought to consider allocating additional resources to bring the facility up to modern standards. My guess is 2M. My sole visit to this location revealed that there were at least 6-7 holes that appeared to be in need of refurbishment or enhancement. Hard pass read more

Brian is a new Ranger and he was so chill and down to earth, he talked to us like we were human beings and was super nice and encouraging. When we were done with our tee time we went to the bar outside the club house. We had a big group the the bartender Sage kept the drinks coming and was engaged and on top of it. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I was not impressed with the gentleman helping with the golf carts. To put a little perspective on today event, we were celebrating my father in laws 50th birthday with his favorite family activity. A round of 18 holes. We had 2 groups starting at different tee times one right after the other. I don't know if this gentleman woke up on the wrong side of the bed or was just having a bad morning, but as we were getting the carts for our 2 groups he was coming across very harsh and impatient. Choosing not to let that encounter to ruin our morning, we played on through. With our 2 groups we finished quickly and both arrived at hole 10. Keeping up with the quick pace and no one behind us for a couple holes, we continued together. Half way through hole 10, the gentleman servicing the carts chased us down in a cart to yell at us that we can't continue going in the group and that we are holding up the other golfers. No other golfers were in sight. We were not holding up anyone. Nor were we going at a slow pace. If we were holding up a group we would certainly understand, however, the group following behind us were 2 holes behind. I did not see the difference of taking a long time waiting for one of our groups to finish for the next one to start. When we were going together as a group and finishing the hole quickly. Through our 18 holes not once did we keep anyone waiting with our 2 groups. Respectively, I felt like this gentleman was on a power trip and unnecessarily slowed our game down. This establishment left a sour taste. Golf course was decent at best. Still debating on going back to this establishment again, however the possibility is very low. read more

You want to visit a course where you can get tons of practice with your pitching wedge and putter, this course is for you! My husband and I went golfing here on an early Saturday morning, just in time to beat the extreme heat. The course was pretty lite in traffic which was nice. We didn't feel rushed or pressured during our turns and it was a very laid back staff. Why am I giving it three stars? Unfortunately the pros of the course were also their cons. Staff was nice and laid back but the course seemed to be in laid-back condition as well. Riding in the cart felt like off-roading with the very uneven and bumpy pavement, and we were constantly dodging pot holes. I usually can look past this when I get to see the beverage cart - but nope, not this Saturday. Another bummer, they had no beverage cart for the day and I had to wait to stop by the shop at the end of the 9th hole. On top of the cart and condition of the course, the course itself was average. At least 75% of the holes were par-3s with 150 yards or less. As much as I need practice on my pitching wedge and 9-iron (trust me, I do), I felt like I never had to put it back in the golf bag because I just used it from hole to hole. I can only remember two par-5s, so I didn't get too much variety. Overall, the course is quick and nice, it's 3/5 stars. I don't think I'll visit anytime soon but when I need to practice my short game or get a quick game in - I'll come back. I hope my next visit will be more exciting than my last so I can update this review. read more

But the course is one of roughest tracks in town and for being in the area it's in I expected just a bit more. AVOID THIS PLACE AND THE RANGE. Not only is the range in terrible shape, the course is a goat farm, and the ball machine rarely works, but they are NOT CUSTOMER OR JUNIOR FRIENDLY. The owner, Scott, kicked my junior son off the range for accidentally blading a practice shot. He tried to embarrass him in front of his team and told him he had to leave. Keep in mind, this is a junior who can't drive, so he was stranded. Meanwhile, I regularly see beginners there, who don't have a clue what they are doing, hit into people and no one says a word about it. Save your money, go down the street to Western Skies where they have a better facility, nicer staff, and a much cooler vibe. read more

Unfortunately, I am not able to leave a good review. There are a few people that work at this course that are exceptional and have great customer service. However, in the last two years I have used the driving range numerous times purchased a range card for $250, then they raised the price per bucket which negated the discount on the card. They were not willing to honor their original discounted card I purchased. Not all, but some of the employees in the check-in area for teetimes are unprofessional and do not have any knowledge of golf or treating people with respect. I left today's round after nine holes because the play was so slow and I asked for a rain check for the back nine. the young girl was extremely rude and gave me seven dollars back and said that's all she could do. The last 5 times I have played here there have been unhappy golfers, slow play and horrible conditions on the course. The gentleman checking out golf carts is so kind and nice and professional and he has been there for 13 years. It's unfortunate that they hire such young staff, and do not teach them customer service. Unfortunately, I will not be back to Greenfield Lakes after six encounters of slow play and unprofessional rude staff. I recommend playing elsewhere until they make a few changes. read more
