This is a nuanced review because some avid golfers will find my take on this spot repulsive. However, for those of us hackers who are on a budget, this is definitely the spot for you! I was introduced to stripe via a friend who I hadn't connected with in a while. We were looking for a way to catch up And spend some time outdoors so heading to the driving range seem like a perfect idea. However, finding an affordable driving range that isn't overly crowded in Phoenix is a bit of a challenge. Now mind you, I am a high handicap golfer, who does not spend a lot of time on the course. So when I do go out, I accept that I am likely going to Dig up a lot of holes and lose a lot of balls. If your game is like mine, then this is the place for you. I wouldn't put too much emphasis on aesthetics as this is about as rough cut as they get. However, they have a driving range, a putting green And a chipping area. All of these surfaces are pretty rough and are not anywhere near top golf quality. However, if you're trying to improve your game, and you are not too bougie to play on some hardscrabble, check this place out. They do close a little earlier on evenings, but this isn't a course you would want to be out late on anyway. They also Have an executive nine hole course that you can walk or ride on. Definitely recommend the spot to anybody who is looking to improve their game and isn't caught up on the aesthetics of the location. read more

This is a great little course in Mesa! I was here for a disc golf tournament, which I think they do in addition to it being a regular golf course. It's totally walkable course (also didn't see any golf carts just hand carts). Nice big parking lot, 3 port-a-potties onsite (two in the front one on the back fence-line ). All my pictures are just scenery which was beautiful, lots of water holes and I think a driving range. Definitely want to play it again! read more

It's cheap, you can walk on with no waiting, and the people are friendly. Stripe Show is what it is and they're not trying to be anything else. Don't expect anything fancy. There are no carts, no restaurant, no practice putting green. The course is maintained just enough to be playable. The Stripe show is owned/operated by a bunch of great guys as a labor of love. These guys are great golfers and put their passion to work at the Stripe Show. This is a great walking course to practice your short game. I drag my whole bag around the course but end up using 3-4 irons for the entire outing. The value is top notch --- $15 for Oct 2024 which includes the push cart. Try finding that rate at 6am in the summer anywhere else. The course is walkable and takes about 90 minutes for a 25ish hcp golfer. This course is on the up, but please don't come here expecting Scottsdale National for $15. Showing up to the course was the exact impression I got from online. Perfect Par 3 (and some Par 4s) 9 hole track. Amazing for practicing wedge/iron shots because the greens are small and they tuck the pins out here, which is a lot of fun. Par 4s are a great way to practice target golf because they require a 170ish tee shot leaving you 70-90yds in (going for the par 4 greens is nearly impossible). Pro shop staff was super friendly, all seemed like good buddies in there. Shot -1 and couldn't be happier. People leaving the 1 star reviews surely came here expecting it to be Silverleaf, because for $15 at 7am in the summer it is hard to beat. Teeboxes have hittable grass in spots and the fairways are not half bad. 80% of my putts on the green had no dead spots so although they were slow they rolled fairly true to my line. There were some rough patches on the greens but for $15 it was a great track. I will be back here! read more

I'm not going to lie here. Stripe Show is not in the best of shape. However, it is a work in progress and you really can't blame the new owners. Stripe Show Golf Club originally opened up in 1978 under the name of Fiesta Lakes Golf Course. If you look at some of the past pictures, you really can see what this course can be. Hopefully after a rough few years, this course can come back? In the past years, this course has transition from a golf course, to a disc course, to a abandon dirt field, now coming back to a golf course. I just played the course on 06/08/22. I enjoy playing short courses to fine tune my irons and wedges. I was really not dissapointed in the play here. Greens are small, so it will penalize you if you miss the greens. This short course will reward good shots and provide a fun golf outing for everyone. So bring your kids! read more

Okay here is an honest review of Stripe Show... The young guy we spoke with in the pro shop was an extremely nice and helpful guy so 5 stars for him. If you golf more than once every 6 months avoid this course at all costs because it is not what you are looking for... we expected a course in sub par shape for the price but it was really really bad and not at at what I expected. There was little to no grass anywhere except the greens, which are worse than putting on your carpet at home. With that said this course is perfect for people who don't golf or are just plain bad and don't want to spend 50+$ at a course. Some positive things about the course is it's like entering another world underneath all of the trees they have, really one of the most beautiful landscapes (minus the grass) in AZ. It has the best layout for a short course I have ever seen and I've played plenty par 3s and executive courses, but it seems they don't have the money for the upkeep. Also it is very quick if there is no one in front of you. Ideally a big course company comes in and dumps a few truckloads of money and grass seed and turns this into a top AZ short course. TLDR: Great potential but don't play here unless you don't golf often, have never golfed or don't care to keep a score and just want to get outside. read more

Cheap fast 9, but the thing is the course is awful. No greens, no fairway, didn't seed for winter, it's just dirt.Service was fine. Absolutely no greens lol. They're painted green but are mostly just dirt. You're playing on dirt and teeing off from turf pads. Water hazard is drained, all the fish are dead on the shore, rotting away. The entire ecosystem this place was last summer ago is gone and hole 5-7 smells like rot. Sad to see it get to this. Just don't go here, pay the extra bucks and go somewhere else. read more

Called to set up a tee time and the person who answered was friendly and helpful. Arrived and the gentleman behind the counter was courteous and informative. The course may not be Pebble Beach but who cares? It is covered in mature trees and it is free from garage and debris. What else do you really need to enjoy this sport? The price point is perfect. It's what golf should cost. Not the outrageous prices some of the golf course are charging these days. For the complainers and one star reviewers, your pretentious attitude is unfortunately right in line with a lot of the golf community these days. This executive walking course was fantastic. Staff is really hostile when they are not in a good mood , got threatened by the shop owner Chris & multiple of his other employees , they dont appreciate foot traffic and are very selective on who they treat nice. course has always been in bad shape & during the summer is a complete robbery being charged 15 when top courses in the valley are charging 18 bucks for 18 holes with a cart , not worth the money id recommend you save your time as well , course maintanance is also waaay below par , SAVE YOUR MONEY , dont play here read more

Fun course for beginners. The terrain is rough and isn't unkept a whole lot but it was a fun, quick, and cheap 9 holes.

You can see the vision and hard work these guys are doing to make this a great golf experience for a quick 9 holes. Still need another year of grooming the place but you can see the beauty. Friendly staff and you can see they care. Some very tight fairways and water that forces you to shape the ball to score. Really enjoyed the 9 holes. We could take our time and it is very shaded. We walked from our hotel to the course. Just 0.1miles. Cannot wait to come back next year to see the next phase of this course! read more

New ownership! Give this place another chance. The family that took over this cute 9 hole golf course and driving range is working their butts off to make this a fun and great place to golf. We stayed next door at the Hilton Mesa and walked over there in 1 minute. We borrowed clubs and hit balls at the range. They have some cool targets that you can aim for. The service is great. When they didn't have a left-handed driver for me, they opened a new one. Chris is a gem also and they are so appreciative of your business. Easy in, easy out, fun and great service! read more

I was not sure what to expect, but I knew that this was a very short course. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The course has some rough spots, but they are working hard at getting it up to speed. I can't remember the last time I played such a delightful, low-key course. I saw only one pair of golfers several holes ahead of me, and one lone golfer behind me. This is relaxing golf! Don't come here if you are highly competitive, a drunk, loud and obnoxious, or spoiled and expecting every course to be a PGA Tour course. It's an up and coming course and the owners are putting some real effort into revitalizing it. My only beef is the grass condition here is pretty bad. The greens are more often then not filled with patches of dirt. Besides for that it's a nice little executive 9 hole course with a very nice staff. I golfed this 9'hole short course a few times when it was freedom and I heard that it had been bought and is under new ownership. Me and a buddy went out the other week and met the owners of what is now stripe show golf club and to start this off I'd like to say they are awesome people doing what they love and they are building up and making big changes already. The driving range has cool targets on them and they have redone the grass on the range so you have great lies to practice off of and have good quality range balls. All the fairways have been cut down and you can actually tell where the golf course is where before it looked like a wash with weeds everywhere and the greens had weeds growing out of them as well. They are working on the greens right now and have been stripped so it's very hard dirt with little grass but putting on those alone you can tell when the greens are done they will be true and fast! I like what they're doing with the place and I am excited to see the finished product! If you are struggling with your short game like I am this course is perfect. The main reason I gave them 5 stars is probably the prices and the fact the have a kids program. We saw a group of 20 kids getting ready to go on the range where they had stations set up for them. Definitely getting my 7yr old out there!It was only like $15 for a round. Being that me and my buddy finished around in under an hour this is a place I can hit after work and still get a few rounds in if I wanted because it's always open. I saw they had an awesome deal which was $99 a month and you can go golf unlimited there and run circles around there all day if you wanted to. We golfed three rounds that day which would be half my membership fee. Good buy! read more

Not worth the money at all! This course is such a joke. Greens are in terrible shape and brown. The course is very short and not challenging at all. Trash is all over the course. The pro shop is a trailer with a restroom that is in worse condition than the nastiest gas station bathroom that I have ever been in. The staff was not friendly and offered very little info when we asked questions. You can get so much better golf at several nearby courses for the same money or less with a cart, restaurant, cart girl and better play on a clean course with par 4's and nice greens. For a while now, I've been looking for a good place to get in a quick 9 holes after work. I saw this place online a while back but wasn't sure about it. So I took a shot and tried it out. First off, the owners are awesome guys, they told me about their story with the course. When they first got the place, the course was in very bad shape and they've been working hard to get it in prime conditions. The course is in really good shape from what I've heard from what it was before. There are a few spots that are a bit rough on the course but it's hard to grow anything in an Arizona summer. It's a great course for a quick nine, the first three holes are fairly easy. Holes 4, 5, 6 & 9 gets a little challenging with the lake. They do have a driving range and range balls are pretty cheap for how much you get. I'm definitely keep on going back here to keep dialing in my iron work and to see the progress on the course. read more
