The studio is tucked on the second story of a breakfast cafe and they do require grip socks (available for purchase if you forget). There's only 10 reformers so classes can fill up and the stairs going down are sometimes killer after the workout. It's one of the few Lagree studios in the east valley (seems like most are in Scottsdale) and the location's convenient right after the I-10 and Ray.

However, the main entrance for Pilates Place is behind the gym, and there's plenty of parking. I entered through the gym and arrived a couple of minutes late (not intentional). The class had just started but the instructor, Alyssa still acknowledged me and made me feel welcomed. This was only my second time on a reformer and already the class was better than my first one. I thought Alyssa did a great job and I felt challenged the entire class. I love that the classes are very small. I wish it was closer to me, but I would definitely go back!

Since taking from Virginia, I have greatly increased my core strength, reduced back pain from a constant occurrence to infrequent bouts, and improved my posture and alignment. Virginia's experience as an ER nurse, her many years as a professional dancer, her MA in theater, specializing in kinestheology, not to mention her extensive Pilates training under Michelle Larson, an internationally known Pilates master, has given her unique skills as a teacher and trainer. Her observations and insight concerning movement create the foundation for a healing environment. She is equally good training beginners, rehab clients, as well as elite athletes. My very first time on a reformer was scary and I was embarrassed I would not know what to do. Teri's sweet demeanor helped to put me at ease and totally comfortable. The studio was clean and I personally like this type of "flow" for this class, it's great for all type from beginners to advance. At the end, I chose to get a nice clean cold towel to put on my face, I don't know. I really like that, Ive been to several other yoga studios and didnt get this kind of treatment. I will try their aerial and hot vinyasa class nxt time. I am so happy that I found this gem - have told all my friends about it and will come back for more yoga!

I have recently decided to give yoga a try and this place is close to our house…read more I called to ask about what class would be good for me and Tina took several minutes with me on the phone explaining the classes they offer and the set up of the 3 rooms they have for classes. My husband and I agreed to try an aerial yoga sunset class. The room is large with plenty of hammocks that are nicely spaced out for safety. And the supports for the hammocks is very secure. The other students in the class were more advanced than us and more fit than I am, but they were patient and supportive while Tina gave us one on one attention to make sure that we could try as much as possible. The studio is large and clean and the ladies locker room has 2 showers. They have a great special right now - $30 for 30 days unlimited classes, so that everyone can find their comfort zone.
