I paid $250 to participate in a performance, but unfortunately landed in the hospital for 10 days and was unable to perform. I communicated this, expecting some level of understanding or flexibility. Instead, I was told there would be no reimbursement -- only the option to perform at the next event, and not even at full value -- just a discounted rate. And this was only offered after they could not get enough girls to sign up for that performance. I also never received the text she said she sent, and the screenshot she claimed to provide never came through. While I truly understand that she just had a newborn -- and I wish her and her family well -- there was no compassion shown to me during my own serious medical emergency. For anyone considering joining, please be aware of all the additional fees involved. The membership is costly, and if you cancel a class last minute due to unforeseen circumstances -- even legitimate emergencies -- you're still charged a late cancellation fee. These extra fees are not always made clear upfront and can quickly add up. Not to mention it is communicated that guest can attend one class for free. That has not always been the case for me even when sending the link through my invite. I was also told there's no profit made off these performances. However, after doing my own research, I found out that organizations like the Diamondbacks don't charge for these pregame performances -- and many companies actually use these events as a way to raise money. That was really disappointing to learn, especially after being told otherwise. If this is true and it's the franchise rules that don't allow a reimbursement then everyone should know this upfront. Since stepping away from DivaDance, I've discovered other local dance studios that charge a fraction of the cost, foster a great sense of community, and don't charge cancellation fees. It's been a refreshing and positive change. I believe in supporting small businesses and the arts, but this experience left me feeling misled, unsupported, and taken advantage of. I hope in the future others do not experience this same situation which is why I felt compelled to be transparent in my own experience.

The teachers are all very nice! Very sweet to my daughter and I really appreciated that. I wasn't fond of the seating options to watch her dance though. Benches are small and uncomfortable. The dance classrooms have small windows and blinds. It is hard to see in the classroom unless you're standing at the windows and a lot of other parents stand and watch too. Cost for tuition is higher than other studios I've talked to. Almost twice expensive monthly. Class times weren't ideal for us. Wish there was a mid-morning weekday class for her because our evenings are pretty busy and the location isn't super close to our home. I don't want to deal with rush hour traffic. Overall my daughter said class was fine, little boring, so we will continue the search.

The All Hands In dance program for kids with disabilities and special needs is absolutely amazing! All you ever want is your child to feel included, especially a special needs child. There are so many unknowns, stresses and daily struggles. Last night I saw a girl with a huge smile- feeling included with an amazing group of girls and support team around her, empowering and lifting her up! This may be the perfect dance studio for many students. It was not for my student…read more One of mine is a competitive level dancer with many years experience. He began classes in July when most of the students hadn't started yet. It was wonderful then. He got lots of individualized attention and the teachers were knowledgeable and knew lots of methods that he hadn't encountered before. Once the students returned when school started, everything changed. Focus and structure were gone from the classes. He was unable to try out for the competitive teams being new to the area, but the recreational classes were not able to accommodate his experience. Rules were not enforced. Kids were disruptive. They wore inappropriate clothing both for age and function. Things like bikinis or full length school skirts. And even though the school has a wonderful male instructor and other male students, many kids told my son that he couldn't dance because he was a boy. He felt unwelcome and didn't get the camaraderie and instruction he was used to at his former studio. There is so much potential in this studio, but the lack of discipline and cooperation among students made it a bad fit for my dancer.
