This is an amazing dance studio! We started out with a one month Groupon to check it out and y 2.5 year old fell in love with the class and Miss Alexis, their teacher (and the owner!)! We have been coming for three months now and my little one asks EVERY morning if we are going to dance today. Alexis and Lindsay are so so patient with these kids. It's not uncommon for them to cry for the first or second class and not once did they make me feel bad about it. They are so calm and patient with them and do everything they can to make them comfortable. If they cry for 10+ minutes, they may ask them to leave the class because they obviously need their parents and it's becoming disruptive for the other children. Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming. You instantly feel like part of the family, they know your children's names at every class and call them by their name consistently. If I could give zero stars, I would. I would strongly advise against doing business with Dance Deluxe. Our experience has been nothing but unprofessional, unethical, unorganized and frustrating. They have been deceitful about fees, restricting access to our payment records, and refusing to provide a clear breakdown of charges. Despite their claim that we owed costume fees, I reviewed my payment records (before they suspiciously revoked my access to the parent portal) and confirmed that all costume fees had already been paid. When we challenged them on this, instead of addressing our concerns, they shut down communication and made it unnecessarily difficult--seemingly because we decided to discontinue dance. Additionally, they are refusing to refund summer recital costume fees, yet won't provide any information on when we can pick them up. If the recital fees won't be refunded either, they should at least refund the remaining balance on our account. But instead of handling this professionally, they simply refuse to engage. Beyond the financial issues, there is a lot of favoritism at this studio. Certain dancers and families are clearly prioritized, while others are treated unfairly. When concerns are brought up, the staff is always extremely defensive instead of being open to feedback or resolution. Another major issue is their staffing. Instead of hiring experienced instructors, they rely on their older teenage dancers to teach classes. While some of these teens may be talented dancers, they are not trained teachers. I often found that if I wasn't sitting outside the room, the young instructors wouldn't effectively manage the class or keep students engaged. It's completely unprofessional to expect parents to monitor the instructors just to ensure they do their jobs. On top of that, the instructors are rude, unprofessional, and even make fun of students instead of creating a supportive learning environment. Rather than being encouraging, they act dismissively and unkindly toward certain dancers. No child should feel uncomfortable or belittled at a place that is supposed to foster growth and confidence. The facility itself is also disgusting. They never clean or sanitize the dance rooms or dressing rooms, and the whole place smells like urine and feet. For a place where kids are constantly moving, stretching, and sitting on the floors, basic hygiene should be a priority--but clearly, it isn't. A professional business should be willing to justify its charges, provide qualified instructors, and treat all customers with respect--even if they choose to leave. Instead, Dance Deluxe operates in a way that feels dishonest and retaliatory. If you're considering this studio, I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere to avoid the same headaches we've experienced. My daughter was at dance deluxe for 3 years until May of this year. The studio is not without it's flaws but we dealt with it because my daughter loved being able to dance with her friends. I most definitely meant to post this review sooner as my original review was removed/deleted from Google, as it sounds like several others reviews have been from other parents. From a business standpoint they are lacking. They slap with you random charges constantly, put your child on higher level teams that go up by $100/mo with zero discussion unless you bring it up. A few years ago, several bad reviews were posted (unbeknownst to many parents) and parents were told that if we left a 5 star review we had the opportunity to be put into a drawing for One month of free tuition. I really wish I hadn't fallen for that one. I wish I could have seen how sketchy they were being. The owners are very difficult to get ahold of and if anyone has an issue they go out of their way to ignore you or make it your fault. From an emotional standpoint, when they had an issue with me they decided it was best to kick my 8 years old daughter out and ban us from the studio a month before nationals. As I was rarely in the studio, I didn't understand why they would be so bold as to punish an 8 year old child. I was also friends with a few other Mom's prior to coming to Dance Deluxe...ALL of them stopped speaking to me after we got kicked out even though our children go to school together. It felt like I got kicked out of a high school click. DD creates a toxic environment for kids and parents so be wary if you decide to take your child here. It took me 3 years of letting things slide for me to see how they treat their customers. If you want the Abby Lee Dance Mom's experience, this is the place for you. I would not even be writing this review had I not received a cease and desist letter from DD, these letters were sent to several other families. Nothing that my wife or I did warranted this type of demanded censorship. My wife wrote 2 reviews, posted on her Facebook and talked with fellow DD families who were going through similar experiences. DD is scrambling to cover up and recover from the negative reviews that they have rightly earned! You can see this by the flood of 5 star reviews they received around Oct 22, earned only because they offered a chance for free tuition . These types of shady tactics plague their studio. They continually submitted the incorrect age for my son at competitions, even after we told them it was incorrect, allowing them to compete in a younger age category. The studio is full of favoritism, it's not even about who the best dancer is, but who the Jennings (Studio owners) like more, and sometimes this has nothing to do with the kids but more to do with the parent. While we attended DD it was common for several parents to sit at the front of the studio hobnobbing with Linda (the owner's mom). This was a regular occurrence that increased over time, we witnessed parents buying Linda Dr Peppers on a regular, sometimes food, and don't even get me started about holidays/birthdays. The group of parents who would hang out up front got so bad that my wife would feel uncomfortable at the studio, and would often refer to it as the gauntlet she would have to walk through. My wife attempted to address this with Alexis (owner) and Linda however her concerns were dismissed. Despite all the above we continued to attend DD and were loyal. Now you might ask why, and it comes down to the fact that my daughter started attending DD at the age of 3, and these issues were not as obvious as they are now. My daughter quickly fell in love with dance, and the Jennings quickly recruited her to be on the company team $$$$$. She built long lasting relationships with the other dancers and the thought of leaving became very complicated. We were so loyal to this studio that we voluntarily paid for tuition when they closed their doors during the start of Covid. Despite our loyalty my wife was not well liked at the studio. At first it was not obvious that the Jennings felt this way but over time it became more and more clear as they continually fostered the catty behavior displayed by the other parents (think Dance Moms). The breaking point was when my son was singled out in a locker room incident that involved a studio favorite and the parent of said favorite took the opportunity to seek punishment. The whole situation was incredibly unprofessional. The studio showed the video to other parents who were not even involved, all the kids in the video were horseplaying around and none of the others were subjected to punishment. They pulled my son from the middle of dance class before even contacting us to reprimand him. They singled him out by kicking him out of the locker room which we paid fees to use, and decided to extend the punishment because my wife allowed him to use the locker while she supervised. It was at this point I decided to get involved and went into the studio to request a copy of the video. When I went in Linda told me that she didn't have time to deal with us and that my wife was annoying. Hearing someone who I was paying a lot of money to talk about my wife in such a dismissive and nasty tone was infuriating and I let her know this. Linda did not like the change in my tone and asked me to leave. Feeling very taken advantage of and having little to no control at that moment I refused to leave until they provided me with the video. At this time, one of those moms who was always hanging out at the front decided to try and bounce my wife out of the studio. She got in my wife's face and verbally assaulted her yelling loud enough that she was heard in the dance rooms. After being sent the video my wife and I left and shortly after received an email from the studio that they were kicking us out. DD refused to return our payments for tuition, for a Missy Moffit Class, for two competitions we had paid for that we could also no longer attend. The mom who verbally assaulted my wife, was praised as a hero by the studio. From our count 20+ families left DD by the end of last season, this should be an alarming number for any future customers. If you happen to be reading this because you found the groupon, the irony is that they are using a picture with my daughter in it. For any prospective customer I strongly suggest for you to read all the negative reviews to get a better understanding of how this place operates, even taking into consideration the dismissive nature in which the studio chooses to respond to said reviews. Do yourself and your children a favor and find your dance instruction someplace else, it's just not worth the risk to attend this studio. read more

PARENTS BEWARE FOR THE MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY OF YOUR CHILDREN AND YOURSELVES!!!! We left Dance Deluxe mid season in February from company after 2 seasons there along with 4 other kids. And 20 other kids from company and pre co as well as their glitter girls quit this season, including two of their company and pre co teachers due to the highly toxic, drama filled, unprofessional environment. The main concerns are as follows: * The environment is very political and toxic and certain students are favored over others, especially those that have parents that bribe and pay additional and those that work at the studio and have personal relationships with the staff. The amount of drama there is insane! I've never seen anything like it! They also DO have a video camera filming the children in the locker room/dressing room where my own daughters as well as numerous other children changed numerous times outside of those 3 tiny curtains and they have sent out videos from the locker room and shown other parents. I personally have a video sent to me through the grape vine from the locker room/changing room. Im posting it since they have been removing every other bad review left on google. The owner, Alexis, doesn't know how to properly run a healthy business!!! The atmosphere is negative cancer at dance deluxe and that is why 25 students quit and left this past season. If that doesn't speak volumes, I don't know what will. * Speaking of those that work at the studio, they are wildly unprofessional, rude and unwelcoming, including speaking poorly about the parents and children who pay their bills and attend their studio. I have heard several audio recordings of the owners who happen to also be the teachers bad mouthing students and parents!!! The parents also sit at the windows and watch while they gossip and talk behind families backs and I have heard them shame children, and say other horrific things about parents and children as well. Interestingly enough, many of the positive reviews on google were written by individuals that helped drive everyone out of the studio and also either work at the studio or are affiliated with them personally, so they are not unbiased or from regular customers who have no relationship with the Jennings (owners). * The studio reuses dances, choreography and costumes year after year for solos and group dances, and still charge extreme fees for both. You can literally YouTube all their dances from when they started in 2016 to now and find that they're still doing the same dances they did back then. We're also talking 7 year old costumes used year after year that are falling apart and then they charge us $150+ for them! They also attend competitions that are low par and not 'competitive' so that they can create a perception of them being successful to have trophies to show off. But the reality is they go up against themselves for most categories and pit their company against pre company in categories to battle it out for overalls. This is what they did to my daughters mini company at almost every competition. They also charge a $300 quitters fee per child up front because they can't keep retention there. * Their top dancers are also training outside of dance deluxe at numerous other studios taking every private and every class available to them to get to where they are! Club dance, dauntless athletics, tays tumbling, flips, premiere ballet conservatory, missy Moffitts intricate dance training privates, Pilates to pirouettes, studio r ballet etc etc and I know this for a fact! So don't let them sit and tell you about their training at dance deluxe and how great it is because their company and pre co teams almost all train outside of the studio!!! * I hope that you are able to see the true experience of mine, but I feel as though it will be removed as well as other critical reviews have been. Current dance moms and staff from the studio have also been personally writing and harassing people leaving bad reviews. I'm sure they'll try to come after me as well now. I would suggest going to other studios for a well-rounded dance training program, especially one that focuses more on technique rather than tumbling and tricks. They provide her with a familial setting, but with a strict discipline in training, which of course is required in any competitive activities/sports. The above reviews with 1/2 star(s) are true. They consistantly over charged my credit card and refused to credit me back. "We will apply it to next month" I finally demanded they remove my card and was assured it was removed... well guess what?.... it was again charged the next month. I had to go in and physically watch Linda remove my card. Save my file and re-enter the account to view it was gone. In most businesses financial integrity is respected.... not here. The intimidation from the teachers, mainly Alexis was tramatizing. My daughter would at times come out of her company rehearsals crying. She would be called out infront of the entire class... humiliated (for missing class for a school BBQ). Thats just one example, there were several! Another example of inapropriate behavior, was an in incident where my daughter was told (by Alexis) to NOT talk to a fellow dancer at an upcoming competition. "Do not talk to ####, she is no longer your teammate she is the competition!" This particular dancer had recently left.... mind you, they were in the same 6th grade class. Although they have very good dancers and win many competitons, I made the decision that teaching my daughter that physical abilty does NOT outweigh morals, respect and honesty. We are now at a dance school that is amazing. My daughter loves it! Her teachers are amazing, talented, encouraging... they are respectful and loving! I originally gave them a 3 on Google, but it appears they delete any reviews that are not in their favor. Studio is clean, teachers weren't as harsh as the reviews made them to be and the dancers are amazing. The kids do work hard and it definitely shows as the studio has a plethora of trophies along the wall. However, the cons like I stated in Google were. The parents to the older kids tend to be a bit negative, they talk poorly about other dancers, parents, and teachers. On some occasions teachers would indulge in the conversation which was extremely unprofessional. What makes matters worse is since it is a family business, the teachers are the owners. The retention is another issue. Last season there were a handful of girls who left, and while we no longer go there anymore a friend whose daughter attends mentioned more have left this season. Apparently, my daughter's costume is going to be reused, but I just found out it has been reused several, several times, despite paying an arm and leg for it. There appears to be no depreciation value to a costume despite it being worn season after season. So in actuality, you are renting the costume for 100+ and receiving half that credit only for it to be sold to another dancer for 100+. Smart for them as a business, but unfortunate to parents. We have previously been at the studio for almost 6 years. However, after the studio expanded, toxic people, partners with the studio staff and director quickly led to a decline in service. The first thing we noticed was that a lot of the songs and dances were reused. Not only beginner level recreational holiday dances but top level solo, and group dances too. We saw the same dances multiple years in a row. We became more concerned with their teaching style which consists of very little hands-on teaching or visual execution of the skill. It mostly consists of pitting children against each other and negative reamformance. As my children grew, it became more apparent they did not know how to properly train children older than ten years old. At times even saying "at ten kids turn into brats and they're hard to train". I've seen the staff pick on and even berate children in class for non-dance related issues in front of their classmates. Often I would overhear the front desk staff and specific parents participating in talking poorly about families. Not only about the children's parents but also the children themselves. There was obvious favoritism in the dances and the way they treated children and parents. I've seen the staff change kids' earned placement in dances due to disagreements with their parents. The immature behavior created a disconnect between the staff and parents as well as a division among parents and kids. The front desk staff encouraged the division by warning parents to stay away from other parents. As well as threatening parents, that they are on the wrong side and they should "be careful". The staff condones physical violence from parents allowing them to act like bodyguards while sitting in the front office area. I've seen a parent physically pin another parent to the counter with their body, while yelling awful and inappropriate things during business hours. The staff did nothing about it and quickly made fun of the parent who got bullied. We are beyond sadden by how quickly things decline and truly heartbroken by the lack of concerns for all the children's wellbeing. You can clearly see recently the studio has asked parents to combat the bad reviews, by the flood of new reviews in a matter of hours. Mind you these are the same parents who have helped to create the toxic and unhealthy environment If you're looking for a real "Dance Mom" experience; backstabbing,catty moms, toxic teachers and mediocre technique training, then this place might be a great fit!! However, if you're looking for top notch training, an inclusive environment and raising positive and productive children this is not the place. read more

Not a good business at all. Alexis is well let's just be blunt, she'a rude. The excuse she is "young" is overrated her negative reviews are years old and she hasn't "learned" let's face it she's just a really rude business owner. This place in my opinion is not a place to put your child for dance lessons. WORST business owner I've ever experienced. Take it from me, find a different dance studio to take your children to, unless you want your account charged with NO notice for $200 when it's supposed to be $50! Upon inquiry, the owner said it was for a recital that's more than 3 months away and apologized for not giving notice and said she would be more than happy to refund me the extra $135 I was charged if my daughter would not be participating (this was on a Friday evening). Monday morning I contacted her and told her that my daughter indeed would NOT be in the recital and to dis-enroll her from dance altogether due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I never got an email response back. I emailed her again later that evening, confirming that she had gotten my email. Didn't receive a response until almost MIDNIGHT saying that she COULD NOT refund me the $135 for the recital, as she already ordered my daughters outfit. I told her to immediately call the supplier to cancel the order, and that it was apparent that she blatantly ignored my Monday morning email, telling her that we will not be attending the recital. (Email is the only way to contact this studio during non-class hours). A few days later and a few more ignored emails later, she said she could only refund me $55, but the other $80 she was keeping for the charge of the outfit and trophy she ordered for my daughter and that the supplier would not refund her!!! They are Complete THIEVES at Dance Deluxe and they will randomly charge your card with NO Permission!!!! I may be out $80, but PLEASE learn from my mistake and READ REVIEWS first!!!! Despite multiple classes with my 3yo daughter being perfect and listening well - the teacher- Ms. Alexis, kicked my daughter out of class in front of all parents. My daughter was having a tough day and was crying (for the first class ever - we have done many classes without incident). This comes in the face of having several or her classmates cry on a regular basis and not listen at all without reprimand. This was unwarranted and embarrassed my daughter as well as my wife. As a small business owner I know the value of customer service and this place clearly does not. We will not be returning nor will we ever recommend this place. Stay away. read more

We left this dance studio a few years ago for the same reasons listed below. At first we really liked going here but after a few months in, our daughter who was 3 years old at the time, didn't want to do the dance (she would stand there quietly) Ms. Alexis would discipline her out loud multiple times in front of everyone to hear. I once spoke up in front of everyone and said that it wasn't appropriate how she was being disciplined, and I was corrected by Ms. Alexis's Mother that "This is how they are taught to teach in school." It happened too many times, so after the recital, I decided it was time to find a new studio. I don't think it is right for any parent to sit and watch their child or other children in the class being disciplined within seconds of them being shy or not wanting to do something when they are THREE years old. I wouldn't recommend this place especially if you bought their Groupon. They seemed to have planned poorly for it. Told the group of parents mid class(after being bitched at by other dance moms) that if you had a Groupon you couldn't come to the Saturday class (the most convenient one for working parents) anymore because they're full and we could come to another class, during the week (she was very short & curt about it as if we are to blame for their annoyance. Annoyed for showing up for the item we purchased-god forbid). Uhhh yeah,no where on the fine print did they say anything about class sizes whatsoever and as much as I absolutely agree that the class was too full, the way they treated the Groupon parents was very uncomfortable. Let me also say, that when I called prior to showing up the person on the phone was RUDE & told me that since I had tried a trial class MONTHS ago that it would take off of the Groupon I purchased (so instead of 4 classes I bought I'd get 3 since I've already tried the place out. Again, nothing on the coupon says anything about it only being for new students).The teacher, Ms. Alexis or something rather, is good, I'll give her that, but she isn't the most patient teacher and I was SHOCKED to hear that she has a freaking degree in Early Childhood! She barks at toddlers that aren't compliant & you can tell she was annoyed by the class size. Again, due to THEIR poor planning when they decided to offer the damn deal online! I was taking my child to DR before & thought that place was a thumbs down...boy did Dance Delux prove me wrong. I just moved to Gilbert and needed to find a studio that was closer to my home. My daughter previously danced in Ahwatukee and LOVED her studio so I knew that it was going to be challenging to find one just equally as good or better. Dance Deluxe has absolutely exceeded all of my expectations (and no, I'm not in any way affiliated with anyone at the studio, I found them on google) The owner, Alexis, is the sweetest human and takes so much pride in her studio. The instructors that she has are top-notch, professional, and personable with my 5-year-old. My daughter has learned more in her two weeks there than in two years at her other studio. Not exaggerating. The other dance moms were friendly and welcoming from the start, and their children have been so welcoming to my daughter as well. My husband and I could not be happier that we found this studio, it has been an amazing outlet for my daughter. 10/10!! read more

We did a 1 month trial on Groupon and my 3 year old fell in love. Miss Alexis is so good and patient with all of the kids. She truly makes it fun for them. Every time you walk in you are greeted with a smile by all of the staff. I honestly can't believe some of the other reviews. Of course your child is asked to leave the class if they are uncontrollably crying...it's disruptive to other dancers. Very disappointed with this studio and with how they treated my daughter and myself when my daughter decided she no longer was interested in dance. Especially since my daughter was dancing with the owner of this studio, Alexis, for 3 years. Alexis did do a lot for my daughter and I expressed to them my gratitude and she was great with her during those 3 years when things were going the way she wanted them to. But she doesn't handle things well when something upsets her or doesn't go her way. Could be because she is so young, still not a good excuse. She made my daughter feel so terrible and put her down for loosing interest and wanting to try something else. She first pressured and bullied her, and then called her names and said she was no longer allowed to be friends with the children at her studio if she stopped dancing. That is just mean. Calling children liars and quitters is no way to run a business. My daughters last day there she left crying with hurt feelings. They also refused to give us back a costume we paid $100 for and the reason being was " I DON'T REWARD QUITTERS". ( Thats what the owners reply was when I asked for it back) My daughter really loved everyone at this studio and its a shame they ended things on such a bad note. Very, very unprofessional. Last season was the first and last season for our family. 4 months into the season, my daughter who has a learning disability (IEP through her school) was humiliated in class when she was forced to write sentences for something she didn't do. Then she was told that at her age, she should write a lot faster. Her discipline was not discussed with my husband and myself prior which made us very angry. My daughter struggled in school after that and we had to reconstruct her IEP plan because she was so traumatized that her own dance teacher would say such awful things to her. She claims she has a degree in early childhood, but clearly it doesn't show if she thinks putting kids down is the way to go. We witnessed her make multiple children cry for her calling them names and putting them down as well. When parents address their concerns, she dismisses anything and everything because it's her way or the high way. The final straw was when finding out so many company dancers parents parted from dance deluxe, they were talking about all these parents and dancers stating that the parents were toxic and it showed through the kids and their attitudes. I felt extremely uncomfortable overhearing that conversation. The next day, I received an email from the studio owner stating that I text one of those parents and caused more problems. She stated that she didn't have proof and that is why she is not dismissing our children from the studio. Then she threatened me stating that if we caused any problems with her staff, there would be severe consequences. I did everyone a favor and found another studio who actually put my kids at higher levels of dance. I don't deal with drama and pay too much money to be in drama. The owner is young and inexperienced with customer service and has a lack of respect for anyone and everyone that doesn't agree with her. The owner has also blocked every dancer that has left from the dance deluxe Instagram. At that point you aren't running a business, you are being petty. read more

This is a great dance studio! The woman that runs the front counter is so nice and helpful. My two kids are new to dance, have only done it for a month and it's been awesome! My daughter is in a class for tap, ballet and tumbling- and her teacher is wonderful with her. My son is in the boys hip hop class. His teacher is very patient with him and is very encouraging.. I'm impressed with what my kids have learned so far in this studio and can't wait to see what else they will do! read more

I just moved here from San Diego. We have been looking for a dance studio to enroll my two year old. We did the free trial class this morning to see if my daughter and this studio would be a good fit. I'm glad it's a free trial because I would never pay money to this place for such a horrible, disrespectful teacher. The instructor was the owner of the studio by the way- in my opinion an owner should have better business ethics and treat people with respect. She had a bad attitude and kept rolling her eyes when another little girl would cry. She kept telling me to just leave my crying daughter and it would be okay. She finally just told me and my daughter to watch from outside because they crying clearly annoyed her. Now I know why she wants you to wait outside behind the glass - so you can't hear her be mean to the other little girls. This place is a joke and I'm really surprised people actually give this place any business. People please read the " of recommended" reviews before coming here. They write these reviews for a reason. Alexis is young, however, I have read a few posts from here that are spot on and sadly they are from 3 years ago and nothing has changed. I pulled my daughter from this studio because I just have had a bad feeling for a while and unfortunately after leaving is when I realized what kind of business owner she is. Sadly she would not even take the time to talk to me when I went in to let her know we were leaving and I had to talk to her mom about it. Her mom apologized for certain things which wasn't needed as she was great at the front desk and doesnt need to apologize for her daughter who is the owner and only has something to say thru email as she never would take the time to talk to me face to face. But she sure is something over email much like the other posts state in these reviews. Needless to say her actions have only helped with my decision to have my daughter removed from this environment and sadly she has not developed much as a business owner since these poor reviews have been posted from 3 years ago! I wish you all the best when you win your trophies but honestly you should focus more on winning at growing as a business owner. read more

The owner of Dance Deluxe Alexis promised a lot and fell super short, like really short, like never got off the ground after she fell short. There were no official try outs for company so the junior company was made out of half experienced dancers and the other half, dancers that couldn't finish a routine with out taking out the dancer next to them which resulted in my dancer as well as the others sitting for half the class while the newer dancers tried to learn/catch up. After I expressed my concern about the junior team or lack there of and how my daughter was frustrated because some kids were always goofing around she replied with i am sorry come in and watch her and give it some more time. It only took me a week to realize that this place was a joke and so I asked for a pro rated refund. They still have not answered my email. This place literally lured people in with promises rainbows and lots of lollipops. The place looks totally legit and it should considering she copied everything from Just Dance AZ down to the schedule. This is a recreational goof around dance studio for the price of a company team. You don't need to spend over 200 a month for your kid to learn how to pop lock and drop it. Oh!! Best part... They charge you over 100 for a used costume!!!l I would like to add that the owner twisted my concerns and told the remaining dancers (under the age of 10) that my daughter and others that found a better suited studio that we were too good for them and that they held our dancers back..... the owner is in college for child development yet I cringe reading the other reviews about how she has mistreated young children and then to tell them about an adult conversation. SHAME on Alexis!!! You should be disgusted and I hope no one buys your GROUPON!!!! read more

They charged my card an amount that I did not approve and refuse to refund my money back to me. They have been asked in person for a refund as well as an email. They will not refund me or respond to my email. I feel they are very unprofessional. And as for Cheryls comment. I agree. They deffinatley play favorites. Alexis alot of the time look very impatiant and seems to get frustrated. And Alexis commented on Caseys comment stating reviews should only be helpful. Just moved to this area and this dance studio was recommended to me by a friend who's daughter goes here. The place is very cute, a little small, but looks nice I guess. The older women behind the front desk was very friendly and nice. But as I was sitting down going over some papers I over heard the lady behind the desk talking to one of the dance moms and she was speaking very negatively about another dance parent that was not there. She was also discussing someones personal financial issues with someone which I find very wrong and completely unprofessional. That is personal stuff and should not be discussed with others unless that person is there and talking about it themselves. I spoke with the lady behind the desk again ( I can't remember her name ) and again she was very nice, and as we were talking one of the instructors came out and looked not happy, giving off a very negative vibe. She did not seem nice or approachable. I then find out she is the owner and she then turned and said hi to me and was complete different and came off very fake. I don't know...I left this place with a bad taste in my mouth. It was kinda cute but the staff wasn't very professional ( talking behind others back the way they were ) I also watched in quickly on a class and the little kids were twerking!! eehhh I don't want to pay as much as they charge for my daughter to learn twerking. I think I will take her someplace else to continue her dancing career. read more
