My two year old loves this dance studio. Every Saturday morning she is so happy to see Mrs. Alison!

In the not-so-distant past, Spark was the closest studio to perfect you could find. They…read moredemonstrated a commitment to quality instruction with an equal love for their students and their wellbeing. It was our safe haven. This is no longer the case. They've gone the way of everyone else; only the stars matter. Everyone else who has been keeping their lights on for years has been banished to level one purgatory and told they will never do X or Y. Excuse me but becoming a professional ballerina was never the goal for us. We just wanted to get exercise, learn discipline, and have fun, not retire at 25 with a permanently damaged body while living on food stamps. ‍ If you have a child on the spectrum, I highly recommend finding an alternative. This studio is not neuroinclusive; they'll keep your kid down year after year after year until you finally get the hint and show yourself out the door. Spark, sometimes human beings matter more than the number of girls you brag about sending to summer intensives. You can still put on a beautiful production while allowing autistic girls to progress with their peers (not talking about pointe, talking about dignity and inclusivity). You know it's illegal to discriminate against disabilities, right? So disappointed and heartbroken.

My daughter is THRIVING at this studio. We came from another studio in the area that didn't quite…read moremeet the needs we were looking for. After calling and trialing EVERY studio in the QC/STV area (even the much bigger and slightly smaller ones), we went with Spark and have never looked back. Quality instruction, fantastic technique, and an environment that is encouraging and welcoming to all students at all levels.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I would strongly…read moreadvise against doing business with Dance Deluxe. Our experience has been nothing but unprofessional, unethical, unorganized and frustrating. They have been deceitful about fees, restricting access to our payment records, and refusing to provide a clear breakdown of charges. Despite their claim that we owed costume fees, I reviewed my payment records (before they suspiciously revoked my access to the parent portal) and confirmed that all costume fees had already been paid. When we challenged them on this, instead of addressing our concerns, they shut down communication and made it unnecessarily difficult--seemingly because we decided to discontinue dance. Additionally, they are refusing to refund summer recital costume fees, yet won't provide any information on when we can pick them up. If the recital fees won't be refunded either, they should at least refund the remaining balance on our account. But instead of handling this professionally, they simply refuse to engage. Beyond the financial issues, there is a lot of favoritism at this studio. Certain dancers and families are clearly prioritized, while others are treated unfairly. When concerns are brought up, the staff is always extremely defensive instead of being open to feedback or resolution. Another major issue is their staffing. Instead of hiring experienced instructors, they rely on their older teenage dancers to teach classes. While some of these teens may be talented dancers, they are not trained teachers. I often found that if I wasn't sitting outside the room, the young instructors wouldn't effectively manage the class or keep students engaged. It's completely unprofessional to expect parents to monitor the instructors just to ensure they do their jobs. On top of that, the instructors are rude, unprofessional, and even make fun of students instead of creating a supportive learning environment. Rather than being encouraging, they act dismissively and unkindly toward certain dancers. No child should feel uncomfortable or belittled at a place that is supposed to foster growth and confidence. The facility itself is also disgusting. They never clean or sanitize the dance rooms or dressing rooms, and the whole place smells like urine and feet. For a place where kids are constantly moving, stretching, and sitting on the floors, basic hygiene should be a priority--but clearly, it isn't. A professional business should be willing to justify its charges, provide qualified instructors, and treat all customers with respect--even if they choose to leave. Instead, Dance Deluxe operates in a way that feels dishonest and retaliatory. If you're considering this studio, I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere to avoid the same headaches we've experienced. If anyone would like to reach out to me to discuss this further, feel free to contact me. I'm happy to share my experience in more detail.

They implemented a new program too which I like because the complaints I did have I think will be resolved through that program. The teachers seems aloof and not kid friendly. The monthly payment is high, but probably comparable to other dance schools, however they make you pay for everything. The costume for the play was almost a $100, and I could have made a better job myself. The school sent a list of makeup items for the official play picture, and they were outrageously expensive; I feel sorry for some of the parent that felt compelled to buy them from the list. We decided to do it ourselves and the results were so much better! In addition to the monthly payment, the expensive costume, and make up, they also charge you a hefty fee for your kid to participate in the play. What is the point of the class then? Why are we paying the monthly payment to begin with? Isn't the play the culmination of a year of class? Oh, and both parents are required to buy tickets for the play (I would have thought that at least one parent would be free of charge since it's a minor participating), but the worst of all, they don't even reserve the tickets for you; you have to go into the system where everybody else is buying tickets, and good luck finding good seats. I don't mind paying a high price for things, but I need to see value for my money, and this school does not offer it.

5 Star rating doesn't seem high enough for this review. We…read morehad a slight issue but because of Shad Andreas (the new personal training manager) top-notch customer service skills, fast thinking and his constant communication with me, he came through with flying colors and I was totally satisfied and happy with the outcome. Shad worked hard to make things right and it showed, very much appreciated. What a fantastic decision to transfer him to this facility in Gilbert to "fix" things, he definitely is in the right spot and will go far. During my dealings with Shad last week, I dealt with numerous others that definitely deserve recognition for their patience, helpfulness and just being kind over the phone. Chase was the one answering the phone and wanting to help, good listener and never just transferred me to get me off his line, he truly wanted to make sure I got to the right person. Andrew, the assistant manager is also in the right position, he truly is there to serve MountainSide's customers. Last but not least is Chandler the manager, talk about making things happen for the good of the customers and the follow up is amazing, something you don't find anymore. Tom Hatten, owner of Mountain Side Fitness really has alot of great people at the Gilbert Location he can be proud of. THANK YOU to everyone and thanks to Tom for MSF, great facility !! I've been a member at Mountainside Fitness in Gilbert for about a year and a half, and…read moreunfortunately my last experience was disappointing enough that I canceled my membership. One morning I was taking my 2-year-old to the Kid Zone when he urgently needed to use the restroom. We were clearly in a rush, but the front desk employee stopped me and insisted I scan a QR code before letting us pass. The interaction felt unnecessarily strict and passive-aggressive. If I didn't have a membership, I wouldn't even be able to use the Kid Zone, so the situation could have been handled with a little more understanding given that I was trying to help my child get to the restroom. What made the experience worse was the tone. It felt like a scene was made in front of my child over something that could have been handled calmly and quickly. For a gym that charges close to $50 a month, I would expect a higher level of customer service and basic courtesy. I spoke with someone at the register afterward and was told the manager would be informed, but it has been over two weeks and I haven't received any follow-up or apology. Between that experience and the already high membership price (especially considering the sauna often smells unpleasant), I decided to cancel my membership. I'm very disappointed and will be going to a different gym moving forward. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this location based on my experience.
