My kids have attended three other dance/performing arts centers in the valley, and this has been our favorite to date by far.

You better make sure you check that online newsletter first every little thing because even major events will not be shared via email, posted in facilities or announced. They will also refuse to make their own mistakes right. My son was berated and teased by the teachers kid and I find it hard to believe no one noticed. Your child will not go far or make true friendships here unless they are Morman. It's run as a "not for profit business" by and for the LDS church and every person working there is an unpaid volunteer from the church. I strongly advise taking your kid anywhere else. It will only end in tears.

They also receive performing arts grants, and all of their office staff are volunteers. When they moved their studio, they asked parents to do that for them (rather than paying a moving company like you and I do), and they posted a wish list of pricey items they wanted parents to buy and donate to them for their fancy new location. So no taxes, free grants, free labor, crap tons of tuition dollars, enrollment fees, ticket sales, costume mark-ups, and stage parent donations etc... Someone said to me, "the studio is a non-profit, so we really ask the parents to step up and volunteer." The studio doesn't pay taxes, enjoys free grants from those who do pay taxes, doesn't pay half of their workforce, and is therefore in need of more free labor? What a genius business model. The entire dance studio is run down and has a lot of cosmetic and functional problems. Floors are peeling up, transitions in doorways are missing or sticking up, and paint is chipped everywhere. There is even a spot in the floor in one of the dance rooms that looks like it is sinking and moldy. The windows to see in the dance rooms are high and standing at them is difficult because the hallways are very small. The owner also teaches classes and taught my daughters class. She ALWAYS started late and ended early. I actually started keeping track because I felt like we were being jipped in time. The class was supposed to be an hour long and every single time it was only about 30 minutes which is frustrating because I am paying for an hour. Every class was the exact same routine and if that meant it ended early because there were not a lot of kids, then that is what happened. My daughter was by herself once and there was no 1 on 1 teaching, it was the same routine of play this song and do this song. The teacher also liked to do a choreographed dance and read her notes in her book and dance to the song, but not actually teach it to the kids. So she watched herself in the mirror and did the dance while these poor little kids tried to follow along. My daughter loves dancing and wanted to do gymnastics too so we found this dance studio that did tumbling as part of the class. She loved that part of the class so we decided to leave and pursue gymnastics. It was a good out to leave and I didn't care that we had some makeup classes still. I do know they have a groupon and that's how a lot of people found out about this place. I was not aware of the groupon which would have saved me $30 a month. There are a lot of dance studios for kids out there, but this one is not worth the charged price per month and would look elsewhere, even thought the reviews state otherwise.

I absolutely love this dance studio. She has made some great friends and the instructors are not only the best cheerleaders but incredible instructors. I would highly recommend Just Dance and have recommended to coworkers. Great environment, friendship, and teamwork!

When my daughter turned three we were the first to enroll for the year. She LOVES it just as much, if not more, than I did! This is her second year and she still loves every second. She has the same combo teacher I had. Miss Jennifer is not to be trifled with, she instills discipline and learning ears into her dancers but in the most loving way. The dancers adore her. I adore her!! If you're looking for a dance studio that truly cares about your kids, this is it. There's no gimmicks, there's no upselling, it's not commercial. Jeanne's school of dance, (now JEM Dance) has always been and will always be a family business. I recommend them to every person who shares the love of dance.

My 5 year old granddaughter was in a Christmas dance performance that was put on by this studio. It was not a grand performance but a family performance in the studio itself with costumes supplied by the studio. The teacher was amazing and I could see that my granddaughter absolutely worships her. She had gone to a different school before which was not personal and terribly commercial. I can see that this teacher really cares about the children and their dance performance which is reflected in the skills that my Eowyn has learned. The dance performance didn't cost any money for admission or for costumes and they didn't try to sell anything to us afterwards. It was simply a Christmas gift to the families and the students and it was so greatly appreciated. I am very grateful that my granddaughter goes to this school where they care so much about their students

I have been calling for months to try and enroll my grand daughter in dance. Finally I drove to the studio, they are only open 4-8pm. I started calling at 415pm finally after an hour I got a live person on the phone. Was told she didnt know about enrollment, that Stephanie was in charge. Stephanie finally did call me, I was told that the studio was open the next evening and that she would be there, I told her I didnt want to drive out if she would not be there. Stephanie assured me she and the other girl in charge of enrollment would be there til 8pm. I drove over 7pm, when I arrived I was greeted by the sign with half the lights burned out, not a good sign. I little girl was sitting at the front desk, a slow moving women emerged from a back room. I asked for Stephanie, was told she had already left. She asked if she could help me. I asked if she knew about enrollment, she said no but here take and registration form.. Not impressed by this place. If this is a sign of how they do business, what can the dance lessons be like? Hum run dont walk from this place. I am going to look into other classes around the valley. Jeanne Wright needs to take a more involved roll in this place.

You never know who is going to be at the desk and the studio is in need of a full deep cleaning. Very grungy and dusty. My daughter liked her teachers as did I until the weeks prior to the recital. I was told by one teacher not to come to pictures in costumes because another little girl did not get her costume....... I was sent an email the day prior to pictures that things had changed and to come in costume. Well I guess I am not someone who looks @ my email everyday and did not get the message. I was very very upset...... Her teacher was very rude about the whole situation. I was wondering why calls on an actually phone were not made!!! Then the night of her recital I was unaware of the dance lineup..... because my daughter was in two classes. I needed time to go back and change her between performances.Ten minutes before show started they handed out programs. There are 50 plus dances and my daughters were put back to back and they even left her name out of the program for her second class. This meant NO time to get her changed. I had to miss her performance to wait back stage and change her into another costume so she could get back on stage. They didn't even care. So unprofessional!!! The women who run this place are more concerned with their daughters being in all the classes then taking care of a business. One last note..... very sad..... as I was going to grab my daughter after her performances I saw a teacher scolding her students for not remembering the dance on stage...... these are young kids. I was flabbergasted. I will never never go back to that studio and would not recommend parents take there children there.

We purchased tickets for the Thursday, January 8th show. We arrived a bit early on the day of the show. It was our first time at Hale and we wanted to be prepared. We were directed to a side entrance where they usually have their music shows. I knew the theatre was small, but was still surprised to see how intimate it was. I didn't mind it. The theatre sells concessions before the show and during intermission. We didn't purchase any. The show was phenomenal! The band and the singers were very talented and put on a fantastic performance. They nailed the original voices, which is not easy, and even hit some of the high notes. It took us back to the disco days of the 70s. We can't wait to catch another show at Hale Center Theatre!

Downtown Gilbert 10/5 The Town of Gilbert has done a spectacular job of its downtown revitalization planning with the it's building repurposing and new development architecture requirements and marketing that has attracted some great companies making it a destination for fun, food, entertainment and shopping. It's always nice to take a bench for a bit to take in the beautiful Gilbert tower at night while enjoying the last of our gorgeous Senorian desert weather before summer! Complimenting the tower is the Theaters markee, brightly lit and a throwback to the days when entertainment and theater were central to an evening out. Venue 5/5 There are really no bad seats as the venue is well designed for sound and a more quaint experience. Performance 5/5 The "Always Patsy Cline" production was excellent. The show artfully told her story, a humble performer who gained national notoriety but was taken at a tender age of 30 in 1963 from a plane crash on her journey home from a performance. I became a fan of hers and other country artists of this period after moving to Arizona. This period was full of names, voices and lyrics that for me epitomized the charm and perhaps the innocence of early America my parents enjoyed and a little before my time. Downtown Gilbert nightlife my friends-SYOY!
