Navy Dave is the real deal. He's been coaching both amateurs and pros for years, which is a big reason I went with him, and it shows. He knows exactly what he's doing.
What surprised me most is how well he reads what's happening. I'll hit a bad shot and before I even say anything, he'll tell me exactly what was going through my head right before I swung. It's kind of wild. The guy's a golf whisperer.
He also has solid state-of-the-art equipment set up in his garage. I was a little worried about learning off mats at first, but it turned out to be no big deal at all. The detail you get from the simulator is a game changer and makes it easy to see exactly what's going on.
His personality makes the whole thing easy too. He takes his time, explains things in detail, and somehow manages to dumb it down in a way that actually sticks (which I need) LOL. He's patient, cares about you getting better, and clearly wants everyone he works with to succeed. After just one lesson my swing already felt different, and the second one confirmed I made the right call.
I'd definitely recommend starting with a package if you can. I didn't at first because I wanted to make sure he was the right fit, but I can pretty much guarantee anybody who works with Navy Dave won't be disappointed.
