High FFL Transfer Fee: Not Awesome... I had stopped in here once a few months back to check this place out as I drove by. This initial visit I felt like everyone was pretty friendly so I thought when I ordered a rifle that was hard to find online I would have it shipped here to pick up and do the FFL paperwork. I ordered my rifle and paid for it online from the company across the United States and they shipped it right over to these guys and I got my Fed ex confirmation at 10 AM in the morning yesterday so at 2 PM yesterday I stopped in to grab my rifle thinking that should be an easy process. I was told by the older gentleman there that they had 50 guns come in that day and they had not finished processing them and told me that he would call me when he was ready for me. I felt like that wasn't the most polite thing since I had already driven there and it wouldn't have been hard to go and grab the big long box with my name on it and just do the paperwork and have me out of his hair. So I left went about my day and waited and never heard back. Finally today they called me after they had had the gun for over 24 hours and told me I could come in to pick it up. The older gentleman took care of me again and I am guessing he remembered me and was still annoyed that I had the nerve to show up at a store without having an appointment which was not a policy on a sign or known to me so it wasn't the happiest of interactions. I filled out my paperwork and wasn't even given a chance to look at my weapon before I was handed it to me and sent out the door. It is $40 to do an FFL transfer here from another dealer. This seemed a little high to me since I usually pay $20 or $25 at the other dealers that I normally use. All in all I probably wouldn't come back here since they have steep transfer fees and the service just wasn't there. The customer shouldn't feel like they are bothering someone there when they show up to pick something up that they've already paid for. I feel like this is a pretty fair and accurate review of my experience here since I subtracted one starfor making me return another day instead of helping me the first day I came when they weren't any customers in the store anyway. I subtracted the other store because it just wasn't a friendly experience. I will say the younger guy does seem more friendly but he was sitting at the desk and not the one helping me. read more

Such a great experience, stopped in there today to check out a relatively new release, no sales pressure, no steering, just a couple of awesome fellas answering questions and letting me handle whatever peaked my interest. Quick and efficient paperwork, payment and solid pricing. Plenty of optic choices and helped me navigate the best fit for my eyes and purchase. I have not owned a gun since my time in the Marines...and back then it was a Tank. With the chaos happening around the country I felt that the time was now to step back in and happy that I did. I used Yelp to help me find the right Gun Shop where I can trust the staff. Reed was right on top, and rightly so. I was greeted with a smile and was fully educated around the best pistol for my needs. The background check took no more than 15 minutes and the pistol was mine. I look forward to adding to my collection shortly and will be heading back to Reed Firearms for that. read more

These guys are AMAZING! I was shopping around for a firearm and was undecided on what to get as it was the first one I was actually going to own. I tried going to Bass Pro Shop but customer service is not their forte. They expect to just sell you the gun you shop up to buy. No recommendations, no attempt to educate you on the right firearm for you. My experience with Reese Firearms exceeded my expectations. I ordered a pistol from a major retailer, and i wanted to go to my usual ffl guy who charges only $15 to transfer a rifle or pistol. but for some reason the retailer kept reverting to reeds, on their website, so I went to them, big mistake! I filled out the 4473 form and gave the older gentleman a $100 bill and filled out the paperwork, and was looking at the pistol and he gave me back three bills, i did not look at them because we were talking. later I went to lunch and saw that I only had $50 that he gave me! before i went to reeds i saw on the internet that they charge $40 for a transfer, but I went to them anyways to get my pistol. but $50 to do some paperwork is out of line. next time I will be more careful, it was my fault. but no more! read more

So I went to a different gun store first and they treated me like garbage because I was wearing a mask and I can only assume it doesn't fit with their political ideals I guess. Too bad cause my wife is immunocompromised and I ain't taking that chance to prove the government is not controlling me lol. Anyway I called around other gun shops looking for a 9mm Hellcat for CC which was impossible to track down. I called Reed and Matt took my information, told me he would let me know when one comes in. Just a few days later I received a text one came in. He held it for me and I came in the same day and bought it. They were super friendly, knowledgeable and helped me pick out a nice holster for concealed carry. Truly professional attitude toward newbies and you can tell they are passionate. They answered all the questions I had with enthusiasm. I will definitely be back when it's time to get a new toy. read more
