There's an option to get a regular or mini taco. I would get the double dipped option if you love the hard chocolate mixed with ice cream. It was delectable!!!! They have other options like scooped ice cream, but I'd recommend the taco. The service took longer than I expected. We had to wait 7 minutes, but it was busy. I didn't mind the wait. They use liquid nitrogen to help freeze the taco in its form. I overhead a conversation with a customer about their nut allergy. Due to the only liquid nitrogen container, the taco option is not available to people with nut allergies as it will be exposed in the nitrogen container. There were plenty of places to sit and eat in the shop. It's right by the university, so it has a young feel. There are few places to park, so you'll have to find street parking.

I got one scoop of Earlgrey with dark choco dip and almond toppings, it was really good and not overly sweet. The ice cream texture was smooth, a little bit like gelato ice cream, not icy. My partner got "The King" which was banana cream, peanut butter and honey comb dipping in a taco shell. I had a bite and to my surprise, I couldn't taste any banana flavor. Either peanut butter was too strong in flavor or banana flavor was too light. But I kinda love it that it was not overly sweet despite the honey comb dipping. Well, that was the part my partner didn't like though. He wanted his ice cream to be sweet. To each their own, but I myself would recommend this place. We ordered by ourselves using the tablet. The store was packed at 7:30pm on Friday night. My scoop of Earl Grey came out prettt quick, but my partner's took about 10-15 minutes for its complexity requiring more work (?). There were some tables to sit inside.

Crepe cake cafe with well made desserts…read more Situated right next to a huge parking lot, I came here with a friend for some cake and to pass the time before a dinner reservation. Interior is very neutral/beige with the pops of color coming from some plants scattered inside the space. There's WiFi available and for 6pm on a Saturday, it was empty. We ordered two cakes: pandan raspberry and a tiramisu. Both were really well layered but it tasted like the tiramisu had far more cake layers than the pandan raspberry. The pandan raspberry was more raspberry with minimal pandan flavor. The tiramisu tasted just like its name and was great! Both were very lightly sweet cakes, and it was surprisingly easy for my friend and I to devour two slices and still feel ready for dinner later. I wouldn't get the pandan raspberry again, but would be willing to try other slices with how the tiramisu was. The downside is the cakes are pricey. And it feels the interior can't decide if it's trying to be minimal on purpose, or the furnishings were meant for a smaller space/grab-and-go only spot originally but then they moved to a larger location with seating. Good cakes, I would consider swinging by here to pick up a slice for a special occasion.

My daughter woke up craving mochi donuts…read more Saturday afternoon around 3pm. Friendly service! The yums were ready in less than 5min. We got half a dozen of nearly all the flavors and they did not disappoint. Ube, black sesame, cookies n cream, matcha, glazed, and dark chocolate (tasted more like milk chocolate though). Soft, chewy, warm, and the glaze was the perfect amount of sweetness for the Asian palate, which is to say: NOT TOO SWEET; the highest compliment, of course. They also have poke here, which I may try next time. And while you're waiting for the glaze dipper to do their magic, there is a fun 10-second buzzer game to try your luck for a freebie mochi!!! We did not win. 9.84 seconds was our best attempt. :( but our mochi cheered us up :)

While there wasn't an option to customize the poke bowl with additional toppings like some other poke places offer, I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion of salmon. The fish was fresh, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of the bowl. To finish off the meal, I had the Churro Mochi Donut, and it did not disappoint. It had a crispy exterior with a soft, chewy mochi center, coated with just the right amount of cinnamon sugar. It was the perfect sweet treat after the savory poke bowl. Overall, the meal was satisfying, the portions were generous, and I would happily order from MoDo Hawaii again whenever I'm craving fresh poke and a delicious dessert.
