I'm quite loyal to the Monrovia location but I came here last Wednesday and was pleasantly surprised to see one of my favorite workers who I hadn't seen for a few months, now at this location. I come with my elderly mother who likes to take her time and try a few flavors. Which I know can be frustrating to some workers especially during the rushes, but this young lady is so sweet and patient, she humors my mother and never fails to give us an excellent experience. Went to pick up my cake, most unpleasant experience I have ever had picking up food. What was supposed to be quick and simple took over 20 minutes. The service here isn't bad, but the attitude from some of the workers is horrendous. My family and I were in a booth when we heard an employee yell across the room to his coworker to get to work, even though she appeared to be helping a customer. She stopped talking to the customer, and walked away to do something, when the customer went up to the male employee. They exchanged some words, we weren't able to hear much of what was being said, but at the end, the employee proceeded to say, "You can't tell me what to do." in a very rude tone, then proceeded to roll his eyes and walk away. I am just appalled at the way the customer was treated, as well as the female employee. Do better Baskin-Robbins. Hire people who know how to handle situations, or at least communicate. read more

I'm honestly still trying to find the words to describe how upsetting this is. This is the 3rd experience I've had at Baskin Robbins in the past 2 months that has been nothing but disheartening. I went to buy a cake for my deceased mother's birthday and my grandfather who is turning 96 years old. I picked out the cake from the fridge and asked if they could write Happy Birthday on a cookie to put on the cake. To which they said yes. As you can see they just wrote it right on the cake itself. Not only that but the handwriting is not neat at all. Stop hiring people that don't know how to handle cakes or at least provide proper training. No, please stop hiring workers that don't know how to listen. It may sound harsh but it's things like this that ruin special events for your customers. This place skimps on the scoops compared to the other baskin robin locations I've been. For a two scoop royal I noticed a co-worker who was training a new worker making my order telling her the scoops were too large, therefore gave the tinest 2scoops I've seen lol. When I opened my lid I noticed more whip cream and banana to compensate the smaller scoops, which was more like 1/2 of a full scoop of ice cream, so I'll be going to Burbank, and Sunland for my ice cream treats from now on read more

My son and I stood in line for 10 minutes waiting to be served. 2 customer that came in after us were helped first, even after one of the young ladies behind the counter said we were next. When the second customer was helped, I said, "Really? We were next." and I was finally acknowledged with "Well, the line starts over here." I grabbed my son's hand and walked out saying "That is idiotic." I called to speak to a manager and who I spoke to said "If you hadn't gotten so mad, we would have helped you and you called us idiots." I corrected her with what I said and her reply was, "Well another customer heard you say idiots." If she had instead said, "I'm, sorry, we will get to you quickly, or something other than 'the line starts here' from the beginning, I probably would have stayed and not had a problem. This particular Baskin-Robbins has been here for a LOOOONG time... since I was a little boy. It has sustained through just about every other tenant in this shopping center turning over. It has endured past the big fire that ripped through these buildings more than two decades ago. If you remember Hughes Market, Blockbuster Video, the Good Earth restaurant, Pasadena Federal Bank, Wherehouse electronics, and of course See's Candy... then you know what I'm talking about. As for the store itself, it has evolved from the days when 31 Flavors had those weird pink single-seater desk-tables like you were in a 1970s Algebra classroom. The usual assortment of ice cream, specialty shakes and sundaes, and of course, ice cream cakes. I still can taste the frozen buttercreme frosting from those upside-down clown cones they have made forever. Chiefly, I can still taste it because it is still stuck to the roof of my mouth 30 years later... In a world of frozen yogurt places, Baskin-Robbins has hung on. They welcomed us, gave the kids samples to try, and made them feel so happy. They were very accommodating. I will be planning more ice cream socials, at this location, in the future.Thank you! If one comes to this BR and it's crowded - they have a *line* that no one knows about - until people who have arrived AFTER you get in it and go ahead of you. This place is okay as long as it's not crowded. But with summer coming and the money they'll be making they should invest in a number system so thier customers are served in the order they arrive. To be clear - THERE IS NO SIGN INDICATING WHERE THE LINE STARTS. After I complained about the line the scoop we received was unusually small with measly toppings. It shouldn't be the case that a six year old gets cheated because the adult with them asks about the line protocol. We paid $5.28 for this. Not sure the name of the girl serving us and her name is not on the receipt. I asked the girl serving us if this was a full scoop as we had been to BR on Wednesday and the scoop filled the cup and the toppings covered the scoop. She said it was the standard size of a scoop and the toppings were the correct amount. I clarified that a mistake hadn't been made and that we hadn't ordered a junior scoop - she said that it was the regular sized scoop and toppings and said it with a straight face. I wasn't going to make a scene - I took the attached picture in front of her in the store. She knows who she is. I'm sure she feels great charging me full price for a smaller scoop and shortchanging my granddaughter who used to love going to BR. Handel's is a block away. We were coming to BR to avoid lines - well, now we know it's better to just deal with a line and patronize a business that makes sure thier customers are served in order. And don't cheat them when they complain about it. *update* There is a BR near my mom's house in Lakewood on Del Amo. I stopped and ordered the same exact item. We just came back from a very bad customer service experience at Baskin Robbins on Foothill in Pasadena. First, we walked in and waited for the 2 customers to be done. When they left, we stood right by the register and waited. One girl with a ponytail and a nose ring was changing ice cream tubs as she's looking at us. She didn't ask if we needed help. Then the boy with shaggy hair finally asked if we've been helped. He eventually helped us and was so rude about it. Our ice cream scoops were uneven and it's questionable if he washed his hands. By the way, the girl with the ponytail took out her hair, put it back up and proceeded to touch the ice cream again. She did not wash her hands. This is a great Baskin Robbins location to visit in Pasadena because it has ample parking and seating! Some of the Baskin Robbins locations I go to usually have just one or two tables, but this one has booths and tables readily available. I also like how it's located in a shopping plaza so there is parking readily available. I usually go to the location on main/las tunas and it's only street parking. The ice cream tastes the same at any location you go to, so no complaints about that! Just prefer this one because of its location, seating and parking. read more

Perfect dessert for all occasions. This Baskin Robbins is on the cleaner/bigger side. There is a large variety of ice cream flavors to chose from. Staff is always friendly + helpful. They are also extremely patient (I like to try flavors before I come to a decision). They have ice cream cakes and prepackaged tubs of ice cream that you may grab on your own. They also have chocolate covered bananas (my favorite has oreos). With the bananas though I would recommend giving them a few minutes to defrost and become soft. Otherwise they're frozen solid and not as enjoyable. Don't forget to download the app- there are coupons on the app you can use plus they send you a free ice cream scoop coupon for your birthday. This is my first time going into a Baskin Robbins in a long time, and I was happy to see they had nicely decorated cakes in the display case (more than the plain ones I had seen in their freezers in the past), and they even had new additions like chocolate covered frozen bananas! First time visiting this Baskin-Robbin location. Came in for a badly needed dessert/pick me up after a long day. I was pleasantly surprised by the appearance of the interior. It was very spacious and there was a long row of ice cream and other items on display. Also, on the other side, was a long row of freezer cases with a huge selection of ice cream pints, cakes and other ice cream novelties! I had a banana split today (yes I'm still celebrating my birthday and splurging a week later) and seriously miss eating this. Due to the pandemic I'm hyperventilate in watching how food is handled, especially when you can't microwave ice cream At the beginning of Covid, this location would only accept credit card, as a protective measure, so to avoid handling cash or any hand-to-hand transactions. Yesterday (01/22/21) I was craving a milkshake. The customer ahead of me paid with cash which surprised me but I figured that the cashier would throw out his gloves after handling the cash and put on new gloves to serve the next person, which was me; he did not. Before he started to go and scoop out the ice cream, I stopped him and kindly told him that I had seen him handle cash and if he wouldn't mind, to put on new gloves. He was kind enough to do that. At THIS location, the servers are always polite, give u a decent sized scoop 4 ur money, and do their best to serve everyone as promptly as they can-although it does get crowded, lines out the door, sometimes. I am very sad to have to write this review. I have been coming to this Baskin Robbins for over 15 years. Today I stopped by with my children for our weekly treat only to be ridiculed by the cashier MICHAEL. I ordered 2 sundaes, a kids scoop and a shake. Please keep in mind that I visit this place weekly and order 2 cakes a year. When I was ready to pay for my order I mentioned to Michael I had a coupon from the app. Okay, he tried scanning my coupon. It was a buy one Brownie get one brownie for 99 cents and it would not go through. Oh this one is not the one he said in a very demeaning tone. I asked how was that possible if it states any sundae? "You got pound cake not a brownie sundae" pulled out brownies from the fridge "this is a brownie" (there is white cake and brownie cakes in the same container). He pointed to them as if I was stupid. Read the exclusions this isn't it. At this point the coupon had been redeemed and I could not read it. Now there's a line behind me, looking at me. I am not trying to be confrontational so I pay my order. The whole time I sat there and ate my ice cream, Michael stared me down as if I was wrong??? It is not okay to embarrass a paying customer.
