The food: I got the thai tea soft serve with boba and the boba was squishy but not too soft; The thai tea had the perfect blend of sweetness from the cream + condensed milk mixture (I'm assuming) and the bitterness from the tea. My boyfriend had the milk soft serve and I'm very picky with my milk soft serves but their ice cream is on my top 3 places that do it well. Not too sweet, more milky in taste and no weird artificial aftertaste. This place is for sure going to be my non-negotiable "We have to get something here." whenever I'm in the Pasadena area.

Parking is a bit annoying in this area, so you'll likely need to take a little walk to get to the alley that Kinrose is on. However, when you do enter, you're welcomed with roses, Pac Man, and unique, sweet treats! We sampled most of the menu and found our favourite flavours to be Sheer Moz Brulee and Sour Cherry & Fairy Floss. The Sheer Moz is a perfectly-balanced banana and comes with banana chips. Delicious! Yet, the more we ate the Sour Cherry & Fairy Floss, the more we loved that one. You'll find little crunchy surprises within the ice cream or the fairy floss (not entirely sure), but it all melts smoothly in your mouth. Based on these two flavours alone would we highly rate Kinrose Creamery. The other flavours can be hit or miss based on your preferences. If you're looking for quality ice cream with unique flavours, then come to Kinrose Creamery! Prices are fair, staff is friendly and efficient, and there are a number of seats within. Additionally, you can play some arcade Pac Man!

Fluffy, snow-soft ice piled with real mango cubes and a milk drizzle on top - and even in the single-serving cup size, it was seriously worth it. We also tried the green tea bingsu, topped with matcha powder and mochi, which was solid but the mango stole the spotlight for me. Pro tip: the single size is pretty generous on its own, so unless you're trying to sample a few flavors, one cup does the job. We split two just to try different options and it worked out great for that! Parking along the street was hit or miss, but we went pretty late at night so it wasn't too bad. Sweet, refreshing, and exactly what a summer night calls for - will def be back to try more flavors, like the melon or strawberry!

Seating is available inside and there's even a few tables outside but this place is so popular that all the seats are always taken. Be prepared to take your desserts to go. I like the location in the center of old town. But it's a little hard to find parking and it's very easy to get a parking ticket if you're over the limit just a few minutes. Also their front patio courtyard is very unkempt & depressing with dry scrappy dirt and dying plants. The outdoor seating could be so nice if they invested in a little landscaping and maintained the planters around the patio. Just a suggestion!

We were done about an hour before our reservation time. We hoped to be accommodated earlier but saw the long line and crowd waiting as we drove by. We decided to run a couple small errands instead. We arrived about 10 minutes before our reservation. It was still busy, but there were not as many people waiting. The hostess was so warm and welcoming. She let us know that the customers at our designated table were almost done and that they will have it ready in just a few minutes. Unfortunately, those customers decided to linger much longer. Thirty minutes later, they were still hanging around. We fully understood that this was not by any fault of the restaurant. We continued to wait patiently. The hostess was very apologetic and was trying to work out a solution which led to the Floor Manager (Karla) getting involved. We were eventually seated at another table, with the option to move should the other table become available. Karla then took the time to apologize for the wait and unfortunate first impression. As we got started with drinks and a pastry for the daughter, the other table opened. The hostess immediately came to move us. It all went smoothly from there. Table service was casual and attentive. We started with the Chocolate Almond Croissant and the Baguette & Bordier Butter. The daughter tried the Iced Matcha Latte. For our entrées -- Shakshuka, Patty Melt and Brioche Eggs Benedict (with salmon). I was eager to try the Potato Gravlax, but it was sold out. :( Everything was so, so delicious! Fresh and flavorful. Lovely presentations. Very good portions. As we were finishing, Karla came to our table again to express her gratitude for our patience and understanding. She gave me her business card with an offer to contact her directly should we need another reservation. On our way out, I stopped to compliment the sweet young hostess for a job well done. Wonderful experience. Beautiful decor. I would give Oh La La 10 stars if I could! We will most certainly be back!

I originally stopped by to pick up their famous cinnamon roll, which made the lists for top 10 cinnamon rolls in LA County. Unfortunately, they didn't have any cinnamon rolls the two times I stopped by. (I think it had something to do with how their AC is currently out and awaiting repairs). Not wanting to leave empty handed, I decided to get a few slices of cake instead. And boy am I glad I did! So far I've tried their red velvet cake, vanilla cake with strawberry frosting, and a seasonal strawberry cake. The cakes were all rich and on the denser side, and were a cross between moist and crumbly. Each cake also paired exceptionally well with the velvety thick frosting. So the backup plan was a rousing success, as all three cake slices were fabulously indulgent and the perfect treat. ****************** My Ratings: 1 Star: Terrible; just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars: Wasn't a fan so Not likely to return. 3 Stars: Meh.
