You might not know this about me, but I have extremely passionate feelings for soft serve ice cream. This is probably due to growing up in the Midwest, where there's a lot of soft serve ice cream, and even more deliciously, soft serve custard. (*pause for flashback soft serve custard orgasm*) Anyhow, about a month ago, I saw an ad that said Baskin Robbins is now serving up soft serve. Woohoo! I thought to myself. Now I don't have to settle for Carvel or drive to Arcadia for Dairy Queen when I am overcome by painful longing for this frosty delight. I went to Baskin Robbins within hours of seeing the ad. It was a hot summer night so I had to wait in line for a while. When it was finally my turn, I excitedly ordered a soft serve cone. The sour-faced girl behind the counter stared blankly at me and said, "Machine's broken. What else do you want?" I wanted nothing else, quite frankly, so I left unsated and unhappy. About a week ago, I thought I'd try again. Surely the machine was fixed by now. Wrong! It was like Groundhog Day. I went through the EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE. Apparently Baskin Robbins doesn't care that they are falsely advertising the availability of soft serve in their stores, because the goddamn machine was STILL BROKEN. And their employees are very sullen. Screw you, Baskin Robbins! I'm going to Dairy Queen. read more

I'm simple folk. I like cookies 'n cream, and that's about it. If they don't have that, I'll try and get a variation of cookies n cream. The ice cream isn't bad at all or anything, its that it's overpriced. High prices usually make anything taste like shit. My favorite ice cream of all time was Thrifty's which is now Rite Aid. No one has come close to perfecting the formula. Then again, I was eating Thrifty's ice cream cones when each cone was only 35 cents. Damn, who says the 80's were all bad, right? I don't go out of my way for Baskin Robbins. Tonight is their 31 cent a scoop night for some sort of charity. The degenerates will be out in force! No thanks. read more

It's a perfectly nice and normal Baskin-Robbins, and the guys behind the counter were funny. We'd stopped in to get a free cone for a friend's bday and when we walked in the guys were like, "Oh, we're just closing" and almost got us. My friend got her cone and I got a single scoop of jamocha almond fudge--I'd have to say their single scoops are generous. No complaints. read more

I came here for the FIRST time when it was the $1.31 for a kids/small sized scoop. On the 31st of every month in 2016, it's only $1.31 for a scoop!! I got one scoop of the chocolate fudge ice cream. There were 7-8 different chocolate flavors so it was hard to choose but once I sampled the chocolate fudge, I knew I HAD to get it. It was a different texture than your typical chocolate ice cream. I definitely taste the fudge and it wasn't too overboard on the sweetness. It was a good classic chocolate fudge flavor that I would totally get again when I come back. This ice cream shop is one of the classics so I'm surprised I haven't tried it until 2016... Took me 21 years. I'll definitely be coming back to try other flavors! Always gotta finish a good meal with some ice cream! :) read more

The lady making the cake I ordered said she doesn't understand English and made us us wait for 30 minutes ‍

My wife bought one of those fund raiser cards at work for a BYGO sundae and below is our conversation on 09/11/11 with the guy behind the counter (I think his name is Vernand, or something like that). Us: Hello, We would like to use this coupon today. Him: Uh, I've never seen this before. Us: Well it has this address on it so what are you saying? Him: Uh, I have no problem giving you what it say's but I don't know how to ring it up so I'm not going to do it. Us: Well maybe you can call the manager or owner on how to do that. Him: Uh, No I can't accept the coupon. I don't know how to do it. Us: So what you're saying is that you would honor the coupon but since you don't know how to do it you won't honor it and will not make an effort to find out how to ring it up? Him: Yes, I don't know how to ring it up so I'm not going to do it. So as we're leaving we notice another B/R employee outside on break and I asked him if he knows about this coupon and he says he has and we then tell him Vernand wouldn't accept it he say's "WHAT?" and asked us to follow him back inside to school him. Not sure if Vernand got his feathers ruffled or what but as he's making our sundaes my wife asked him if a lot of people get the flavor of the month which is French Toast and he replies "I don't know what you mean by a lot of people" It's called small talk moron. That's what people do to be social. If the owner of this store is reading please hire people with social skills as you are in the customer service profession and teach them to remedy a problem instead of creating more of a problem due to them not caring about the effort your customers make to buy your product. Vernand is an A-hole with absolutely ZERO social skills. BTW we really appreciated the other guy that helped us. You need more like him. We will not be back. read more

I love ice cream and I love this place! Can't go wrong with ice cream. I just wished they had red bean and taro flavored ice cream. Sorry, my Asian-ness just came out. Anyway, the place is small. There's a rear entrance so you can park in the Pavilions lot to avoid meters or tickets. And the 31st of every month with 31 days is $1.31 for a scoop. Yay! read more

I'm not sure if this was the owner who assisted but if it wasn't she's freaking rude and should not have any contact with customers so we request a old Baskin-Robbins recipe chocolate blast for me and my kids once I got the order I advice they taste like if it was water and milk not even a little of chocolate and her answer was "it is what it is " what kind of customer service is this ? How do you answer like that to a customer ! She says she's was not doing anything to fix my 3 drinks cause that's what we ordered, NEVER GOING BACK ! Terrible service read more

I love ice cream! I scream, you scream...you know how it goes. Anyway, BR is not the most interesting or highest quality ice cream available, but it is still ice cream...and that is all good with me! This particular location is close to home, always takes my coupons (both paper and on my cell phone,) gives good sized portions, and always has friendly and happy employees giving great customer service. My most recent experience was great as always! I will certainly keep coming back to this BR! read more

GO TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION! I would give this 0 stars if I could. I've been coming to this store for at least 15 years for ice cream birthday cakes. Today was the worst experience I've ever had. I preordered online a piñata pumpkin cake for my brothers birthday and the order was fulfilled at this store. The customer service was horrendous. 8:42pm - we sing happy birthday and cut open the cake. To my grave disappointment nothing spills out. Piñata cake should have m&ms coming out, as it also shows in the picture on my receipt. 8:43pm - call the store, spoke to the manager, requested a full refund. She said I'd get the refund in 2 days. She never asked me to bring the cake back so we ate it to continue what's left of the sad celebration. 9:16pm - the manager calls saying that I should bring the cake back to the store 9:35pm - I brought the cake to the store to show the manager. She insists that the cake looks correct on the outside based on the picture she had in the store not based on my online order picture. She never listened to why I was upset which was because the inside of the cake was not a piñata cake. 9:45pm she takes the cake, throws it in the trash can and forces me out the door of the store. I never spoke to the head supervisor and the manager was extremely inappropriate in not listening to why I was even upset. Who knows if I will ever get a refund but poor customer service and poor quality at this location. Don't bother coming here. read more

I had such a great experience at this location! I came in at the end of the month 5/31 at around 3:00 while it was extremely busy and I was immediately greeted by two young friendly men. They were giving each person individual attention and making sure everyone was being helped while maintaining a steady flow throughout the store. The two of them really reflect what good customer service looks like which is hard to come by these days. Much credit given to them for handling so many customers!! read more

I got a cake for my birthday, and 3 stands of hair just came out of the cake. This is disgusting. I don't even get to eat cake unless it's my birthday, and thanks for making my birthday cake just go down the drain. read more

31 flavors to choose from, cannot go wrong with that. The staff are friendly and don't seem irritated when you ask for samples :) The interior of this shop is pretty small, but the unique ice cream flavors are so rich and refreshing. Yet it is hard to find parking in the front, the back lot where pavilion's is has plenty of spaces. I absolutely love their ice cream cakes, they are super cute and have a great variety of themes to choose from. Check out this place when you are looking for somewhere to grab a scoop of ice cream to cool down. read more

Baskin Robbins has always been a place of comfort to me since I was a young child. However, if you're looking for some comfort (in the form of ice cream), I would stay clear of this place!! I'm pregnant and decided to splurge on some ice cream to treat myself, however, when I walked in from the back door I simply changed my mind. As I was passing through I smiled at the employees and said, "just passing through!" As I was about to leave through the front door a woman behind the counter with brown hair and in her mid 50's said angrily, "This is not a hallway." I was so shocked at this comment and caught off guard that I said, "excuse me?" She repeated herself and said, "this is not a hallway." I have never in my life been treated this way in any establishment I've ever encountered. This woman claimed to be the manager when I asked which was even more surprising. If you want to be verbally assaulted for not buying something, go here. Otherwise, I'd really recommend getting your ice cream somewhere- anywhere else! read more

Bella is the sweetest host!! Thanks for helping me decide what ice cream to choose from! Great choice!! read more

This is the best baskin Robbins location I have ever been to. The owner is so kind Everytime I go to get my ice cream fix. She always remembers me. I called to ask if they had love potion 31 available. She told me they didn't have it yet. She must have found it in the back freezer so she called me back. Most establishments wouldn't take the time to do something like that. The staff is always very kind as well. Can't say enough nice things about everyone who works at this location. read more

I love B&R and visit this location almost weekly. Super nice young staff and the typical B&R ice cream. The only downside is parking sucks. You can park on Lake or in the Pavilion's lot, both are difficult. read more

The ice cream is great, the service is awful. I asked for a scoop of ice cream on a cone and the person working on my order - I think their name was Ryan - was literally so stoned out of his mind he couldn't put a scoop of ice cream on an ice cream cone. He looked at me and said, "Is it okay if I just put this in a bowl because it's falling off right now." I thought it was a fluke - nah, he did that to the orders after mine too. I don't think I'll be returning to this location again. read more

I'm not a big fan of Baskin Robbins but I've been here for the first time and definitely will be back again. Service was amazing. Everything was on time and was clean spot. Thanks for everything guys! read more

I'm in Pasadena every so often and I love this place. They let me make up my own menu items. I like to order a milkshake float, which is a chocolate milk shake and a scoop of mint chip ice cream on top! And if all else fails I've run into Oscar dela Hoya there a couple of times! read more

The ice cream is fine here, my beef is with the service. I wanted to try the new soft serve ice cream that Baskin-Robbins was advertising. On my way to work I remembered that there was one on Lake ave. I knew what I wanted, so there was no need to wander around to make up my mind. The girl behind the counter was so surly that I thought, I best just get my ice cream and leave. Her look made me wonder if I even wanted ice cream. The soft serve really hit the spot, so a couple of weeks later I decided to have another. This time there were two girls behind the counter, and both of them with the sourest looks on their faces. They made me feel like, "oh great, here's another customer... why won't they just stop coming in." In short, I didn't feel welcomed. I almost walked out, since there were a couple of people ahead of me. But they weren't buying, they were just chatting with one of the employees. Meanwhile I'm waiting while the other girl makes herself look busy. The first girl asks the second if she's busy and finally I get to order my ice cream. I'll go back because of the ice cream, but the service here is always bad in that the employees make me feel like they're doing me a favor serving me up something I paid for. Terrible customer service. read more

This place hasnt been the same like before. I used to like coming here but the price have shot up tremendously. Their cappuccino blast used to be good and now it looks like they put more coffee beans on it. If I liked coffee Id get coffee. Lol. The rocky road is always a favorite of mine however. read more

Love Baskin Robbins in general, and this location doesn't disappoint. They go above and beyond, especially today when they were serving my 9 yr old who had just had his first cavity/filling (and yes, he brushed extra-hard right after). :-) Thanks BR! read more

Came because of a school fundraiser...great ice cream, "ok" parking...

Love love Baskin Robbin ice cream. We went in for the first time to this location. We were welcomed with great attitude and smile. The place was very clean and nice. The staff were very friendly and nice specially Lousine. Thanks guys. read more

Just a typical Baskin-Robbins but not much fun to sit inside this one and enjoy ice cream. There is a good selection of ice cream but only room for 2-3 small tables inside (and no outdoor seating). It can get a little uncomfortable when you're sitting at one of the little tables and people are standing in your personal space either waiting in line or placing orders. This place only gets 3 stars - for friendly service and ice cream. read more

i'm not sure who owns this franchise but they are totally wasting their money on rent. they don't even have any ice cram in the place. i went a while ago and all of their tubs were virtually empty. i totally had a hankering for a hot fudge sundae i was disappointed but i sucked it up and headed on over to 21 choices. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Every time my husband and I have a craving for ice cream we go here. I have never had an issue with the staff they have always been really friendly. I have read some of the reviews left on this place complaining about the staff and the only conclusion I can come up with is that the staff mentioned probably just doesn't work there anymore because every time we are there they are very friendly. Second I would like to remind those people that complain about certain things not being available like "soft serve" ice cream cones because the machine is not working, the machine was not bought by the person serving you the ice cream it's property of the owner if this bothers you so much call corporate and stop taking it out on the staff. If you want soft serve go to McDonalds or Burger King. A little piece of advice people if you can take the time to remember the name of guy who treated you bad I would think you would also take the time remembering the name of the guy who solved your problem SMH. I am always under the impression you go and get ice cream as a happy thing don't tarnish it by complaining. read more
