We didn't get to eat here. We looked at the site and it said it was open. Drove al the way there to find out that they don't open on Sundays or Mondays. I have to say this is a memorable dining experience. After this place is trying to open for over 2 years during that pandemic, this family puts out tasty pan asian dishes that are Thai and Vietnamese infused. I definitely recommend sit down meals here. Take out really anywhere loses its texture and the care that's put into each dish. As you can see from the food we ordered, it was so well prepared and delicious. The owners take pride in serving you personally and coming to visit your table. The wait staff is service oriented. I definitely recommend you ask them for their favorite dishes or do like we did and try a little bit of everything. The ambience is modern and clean. Belly up to the well stocked bar. Great drinks! I came here for lunch, was not impressed. Ordered panang curry it only had green peppers in it so I ordered side of veggies to add. After waiting 45 minutes I get it and they only added one zucchini slice, one piece of cabbage and a slice of red pepper with 4 little pieces of chicken it was all sauce with no flavor. Swung by this place during a trip to Indio area. Looks like a new restaurant that opened recently. We were a group of 4 adults and 4 kids , each of us tried one lunch menu entry each. Portions were not great, mostly caters to sweet palate ( medium spice was also predominantly sweet). Service was below par. Even getting a portion of extra rice took super extra time. Last evening was the first time we tried Basil Thai for take out I ordered with a specific food allergy taken into consideration with hopes that it was adhered to and was very selective about the items on the menu that we chose. Everything came out beautifully. The asparagas crab soup had just enough ingredients to make it hardy and the pineapple fried rice was cooked to perfection. We tried Basil Thai La Quinta for the first time last evening. It had a distinct Thai flavor compared to the other Thai restaurants. We asked for it spicy (8 or 9) and it was perfect. It is a very small restaurant, but I did see lots of takeout. The food is very flavorful and high quality. For those who like a mid-to-higher end Thai meal, I do recommend this restaurant. Also the staff (some of whom I assume were the owners) were very pleasant and definitely hard working ! I truly hope they do well business-wise (which I suspect they will) and I look forward to eating there again. 9.5/10 in my books ! read more

We ordered online and were told that it would be ready in 20 min. After arriving 25 min later we were told it was delayed and it would be another 20 min. We left to get a drink down the street because they wouldn't offer us anything for the delay and came back 35 minutes later. The order still wasn't ready and we were told that the online system doesn't give a realistic time frame and always says 20-25 min. We left again and finally got a phone call that our food was ready after over 20 minutes later. If you can't make the food don't take orders! read more

So, after an outstanding dinner on Friday, we brought my Aunt & Uncle, visiting from Illinois, to dinner on Tuesday evening. It was their first time, ever, trying Thai Food. They were not disappointed. We started with the Vietnamese egg rolls (should have requested two orders). My Uncle ordered Ginger chicken and ate every bite. My Aunt had Shrimp with eggplant. She is not a fan of rice, but she wanted to eat every bit of the sauce, so she kept adding rice. I tried chili basil with beef - perfectly spiced and tasty. My wife ordered panang curry, chicken, mild again - she will probably always order this dish - she loves it, as did my relatives. Looking forward to our next visit! read more

Outstanding Thai food in the Desert. We ordered takeout - Yellow Curry Chicken, Pad Thai with Chicken and Tom Ka Kai soup. We were not disappointed. The food was flavorful, had the right amount of spice and was exceptional! This place is sure ot put all the other Thai restaurants in the area to shame!
