Altogether, a great Thai Restaurant. The atmosphere is lovely, the pricing is good and the service is excellent. My husband and I are very picky about our Thai food, and this one fit the bill. Of course, we had to try the Pad Thai, and it didn't disappoint. We also had a beef dish with a brown gravy, broccoli and carrots. I forget the name of it, but it was delicious as well. The only thing that wasn't as good as we've had elsewhere was the Tom Ka soup. The broth was pretty tasty, but we've had better. The main thing we look for are the straw mushrooms and this had white mushrooms instead. At least they were cooked. We've had soup that had floating white mushrooms... You know it is a great establishment when you see people coming in constantly on a Thursday night both for seating and pick up. Plenty of space and seating for large groups, we had a party of 7, prices are fair, food order was exactly as ordered , staff is friendly, but food is phenomenal and so flavorful! We were spending the night in Indio and looking for a good place to have dinner. We arrived at 5 PM on a Sunday night. The restaurant was about half full. We were quickly greeted and seated in a booth and provided water and menus. We ordered a spring roll, which came out quickly and was hot and crispy. For our entrées, we had the crispy pork belly noodle, and the ginger stir-fry with the duck. Both of the meals were very good. We like how so many of the meals come with your choice of meat. The duck was good but did have some chewy parts in it. I might try a different meat next time. Everything tasted fresh and came out quite hot. The staff is friendly. This is the best Thai restaurant in the desert. Hands down. Fresh, quality ingredients, and authentic flavours. So many vegetarian options, which makes me happy. And plenty of seafood options to make my parents happy! Their lunch special is great, but I love an entree sized portion of pumpkin curry at dinner. First of all i was so exhausted stress and drained to the point that i can almost cry! But we ended in this resto! We are from LA so coming from 3 hours away and super hungry and was so surprised how delicious their food was! Probably best thai food we had. We had coconut fresh juice but we didn't get to take photos. The service is above and beyond i forgot her name. She looks young and pretty it was Saturday 4/11 at around 2:23 pm. Weird, as our first visit due to great Yelp reviews we showed up for lunch on Friday as they open at 11:00am... says on the website, Yelp, and on the door. I came here with my mother and I felt that the food was very good! I eat a lot of thai and it felt quite authentic. The menu is quite extensive, but we ordered a lunch special of the pad see ew and I got a woon Sen which is the clear noodles and vegs. We also got a small tom yum soup with all the meat. The inside is spacious and good for groups for a date. There's even a photo of Justin Bieber on the wall so that's always cool if you are going to Coachella or something. The service was OK - there was only one waitress and I think only one cook and they were both busy with a a few customers at tables. So I get it they were busy and I was still taken care of. We came at around 7 pm on a Saturday and were seated quickly. It was a bit of a rush when we got there, so the service was a little slow. We ordered: - Appetizer Sampler. I really enjoyed trying some appetizers I haven't had before, like the fish cake and the shrimp cake. - House Salad. Good portion for the price. It came with 2 dressings, and I couldn't decide which I liked best. - Pad See Ew with Beef. It was a huge portion and came out steaming hot. The flavor was a little off from what I'm used to and the beef was kind of chewy, but the hubby really liked it. - Stir-fried Spicy Ginger with Shrimp. Also came out steaming hot but not as big of a portion and only 6 shrimp, though they were big. I was expecting more of a ginger flavor (there was none) but it was flavorful in a different way. Not very spicy despite the name. They have Thai cooking shows on the TV and there's plenty of seating in both booths and tables. They also had music playing. This is a hidden gem in the heart of Indio. Right off of highway 111, you can get extremely authentic Thai food. The service is average and the inside is very inviting. The last couple of times I have been here I see the improvement. Lunch specials are $14.95 and you can add on a Thai tea or Thai iced coffee for $2. Good Thai food for takeout. We ordered for 630pickup and they were behind but the food was still tasty. Some of the dishes we didn't add spice to ended up having a strong base level of spice. I ordered the Tom Yum with a side of steamed noodle and it came out in this cute dish. The ambiance wad very fitting and felt like we were under a pirate ships secret treasure lair. Great place with good food with such a hard working front of house server. She was serving the whole restaurant with multiple special events happening and she was still so thoughtful and kind. We came here around 6:30 but there were two large parties that were just seated before us. The place was completely packed. We told the server we were going to wait and took a seat in the waiting area. People tried to cut in front of us but the server was on top of it and seated us quickly. She was the server for every table, taking orders, seating, checking out everyone, and working to go orders. Extremely considerate. While the orders came out slowly because of the parties going on, it was well worth the wait. We got the green curry that comes with white rice and the pad see ew. The green curry was up there on our ranking. Lots of flavor, creamy, and a good amount of complex flavors and ingredients. The chicken was very tender and no gristley bits. Similarly the pad see ew had a good wok hei flavor and well seasoned noodles. An absolutely massive portion on this dish. Share it between 2-3 people or save it for tomorrow. Great acoustics in the place too to where there was lots of chatter, it was relatively quiet. Honestly, the server on 11/2/2024 really made our night with how well she handled everything. Our very sweet and courteous waitress helped us choose the duck noodle dish and eggplant stir fry with chicken. We decided to go out for Thai food, and since my husband is Thai, we decided to go to this restaurant again for the second time. He ordered all the food, our favorites, and there was absolutely nothing that we finished and there was nothing that tasted good. Culturally, we did not complain about her food. We just did not get takeout boxes and left. This review is not to make the assumption that we wanted a refund or another dish made. When you try many dishes and they are all not up to our standard that is where we stop ordering and not order any additional food or replacement dishes. I believe the food is Americanized and ethnically correct Thai food... due to the flavorp or lack of Thai spice. The restaurant was not clean, in the dining room, but the restroom was absolutely nasty! We were able to peek inside towards the kitchen area and it was clean and not sanitary. Cleaning one time a day is not enough. We ordered five different dishes and only ate one or two bites out of every dish and left everything for the garbage. We always try to support our family and friends but this is not the place to enjoy authentic Thai food. We both left the restaurant feeling disappointed. We will definitely not return and we will definitely not recommend this place to our family and friends here in town. Our service was OK, but the server did manage to get two dishes, incorrect even after communicating in Thai. With other choices, in the Palm Springs area, for Thai food, they need to work on their cleanliness, the taste of the food, authentic ingredients, and being able to communicate to get the dishes ordered correctly. read more
