The staff was very kind and helpful ordering. The restaurant was cute and clean and smelt AMAZING just when you walk in the door. The food was by far the best part they have many vegan and vegetarian options and they taste just as good as the meat version. We will be going back!

We ordered the Hyderabad chicken and Lahore paneer. Amazing. The flaky paratha are underwhelming. Not that great. Wish they had more bread options. Rice was flavorful Noodles were bland Good amount of spice I would come here for the food. Don't expect anything else. The service was HORRIBLE The decor is so dingy

Absolutely delicious! We each had a cup of Tom Yum soup which was piping hot and spicy. This was followed by Lamb Vindaloo, Yellow Curry with chicken and paratha bread which is similar to naan. Both entrees were excellent! Just the right level of spices and heat. Server was attentive and friendly. Ambiance is pretty with interesting paintings on the walls. We will come here again for sure!

I would recommend this place 100 times over. The food is so delicious! I have been multiple times and I have liked everything I've tried. The food comes out hot and fresh. I really enjoyed the chai beverage. I like how they have two sides of the menu which provides you with more options. I definitely recommend the chicken tikka masala. The service is good and they usually have seating available. I enjoy the ambience as well and the decor in the restaurant. They definitely get busy on the weekends so make sure you get there early.

We returned to Basil India. The food is full of heat, even the selections marked 'mild.' We chose out items carefully keeping this in mind. The restaurant itself still looks hastily set up with a mush mash of tables and decorations. When we visited a year ago, they were new and perhaps did not have the opportunity to purchase better accoutrements. Our dinner for two was more expensive than we expected. It was $73 and with the added tip in the high eighties, putting our dinner at over $40 a person. Even though the food was interesting, I doubt if we will return again. The cost of the meal may have been acceptable if the experience was finished with better tables, chairs and quieter environment. The noise level was very high in this establishment. When we left, every table was full and there were people standing uncomfortably in the restaurant waiting for a table to sit at. We could not hear our waitress and had to ask her to repeat herself a number of times. She asked if we wanted bread with our meal and my husband agreed. She then offered some choices and the way she offered the bread, or naan, it sounded like it came along with the meal (like Italian bread at a pasta house.). But beware that this is a separate menu item and expense.

Basil India seems to have reduced their menu offerings to just mainly Indian items - they had many Asian items that had been marked off as they mentioned they're changing up their menu a bit. We were totally OK with this since the food we did order was delicious! Our waitress had recommended the Chicken Lababdar as it has a tomato base and a nice amount of spice. The gravy was delicious and fresh, there were big chunks of chicken that were perfectly cooked! We also got 2 paranthas to eat with the chicken - they were smaller than we had expected But there were 4 total pieces for each type which was more than enough! They were buttery, soft, flaky, and delicious. We enjoyed the Bollywood music that was playing in the background as well Can't wait to come back here again!

It was a random selection for a group dinner in St. Louis while visiting for work. We ordered Samosas and Paneer chili for appetizer. They were both hot and spicy. Samosas were served with sweet chili sauce instead of the traditional tamarind chutney. It was a delicious combination. For entrees we ordered Thai green curry with chicken, Masaman curry with shrimp and Butter chicken. They all tasted good but were too rich. Perhaps too much coconut milk. All dishes came with rice. We also ordered Parathas but they clearly were store bought Malaysian parathas. Not Indian parathas. They did not have a good selection of breads like Naans and Authentic Indian parathas. The server was very polite and helpful. Overall a decent place. I would give 3.5 stars if I could.

I usually always get take out although I've dined in a couple of times and have always received the best service. The menu is straightforward and has a variety of the staples - from curries, noodles, rice dishes and more. You're allowed to pick from a variety of spice levels which is nice! The street is sorta busy so I usually park near the McDonalds for pickup as it takes only 10-15 minutes for the order to be ready. Highly recommend! Food: 9/10 Price: 10/10 Service: 10/10

I get that this is a Thai restaurant, not Chinese (though it's more Chinese than I am), but Meyou might consider such a policy. I would have benefited from it yesterday. I visited on a Wednesday evening with members of a running group. There were umpteen of us. If we'd been given a single egg roll appetizer, we would have been forced to cut it in tiny pieces and share. I would have been willing to do that, because I'm a confirmed, avowed savage. My reputation precedes me. Arguably, they should give you one free appetizer for every six members of your party. But I digress. Now, where was I? Ah yes, Meyou. I'd describe this place as a somewhat Americanized version of Thai food, based on what little I know from having recently visited Bangkok and eaten in roughly 40 or 50 restaurants, food stalls and what have you over the course of a few days, i.e. not a whole lot. You can get pad thai and various other soups, noodles and curries, along with fried rice, egg rolls, crab rangoon and chicken wings. It's got a little something for everyone. Do they charge you $0.25 for extra soy sauce? Can you call up and try to harangue them into giving you a free order of crab rangoon by claiming that they shorted you the last time you were there, knowing good and well they can count better than you? I'm not sure. I might try that on my next visit and report back. This time, I went with something called Pad See Ew, which wasn't nearly as gross as its name suggests. In fact, it was good. Its description on the menu, with broccoli, eggs and soy sauce, called to mind various things I might order from a Chinese takeout--which is what I tend to look for in a menu item. As a noodle dish, I figured the overall flavor profile might not be different from a lo mein lunch special I used to get decades ago, that I still fondly reminisce about on a weekly basis. I wasn't that far off from the mark. They let you choose the spice level, ranging from mild to hot. I usually get hot in most places, but I'm hesitant to do that at Asian restaurants, because they might have access to peppers that are technically considered research chemicals, like Temu Ozempic, and therefore not subject to FDA approval. There were a few girls there, and I didn't want to run the risk of my throat starting to close up. I'd have to find a new run group. Medium turned out to be just right for me, but maybe too spicy if you're expecting something along the lines of a buffalo wing. Even the mild, apparently, has a bit of a kick to it. The noodles were nice and slippery and cooked a touch beyond al dente, right in that Goldilocks zone between undercooked and mush. The heat, and the complexity provided by whatever they use to season this, helped offset the underlying sweetness. You get your choice of meat. No Diddy. I went with pork, natch, with apologies to the Honorable Minister. The amount they give you is surprisingly generous, except that this dish will run you. I'm talking modern-day Chipotle prices. Maybe a dollar or two more. Yikes! But I'd argue that the quality justifies it. If I lived nearby, and I had the means, I'd stop by on occasion.

She said her favorite dish was khao soi which I ordered and really enjoyed. I have been craving it ever since. My friend ordered Khao pad and she loved it. I don't have any qualms with tipping, but I don't think it's fair to have it automatic, especially since the food is already on the pricey side. The interior is very calm and moody. The candles on the table are a nice touch. The service was okay, but for the size of the restaurant it felt a little weird. I usually try to get something that can easily be compared to other restaurants and determined if I will come back. I opted for the pad Thai. While not the worst pad Thai I've had, it was one of the more expensive. My noodles were dry and clumpy. It was hard to eat and required water. There was an unremarkable amount of chicken for the price. The flavor was also quite underwhelming. The quantity was also questionable. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back here. It was convenient because we were going to the Pageant, but other than that it was subpar.
