We were greeted as we entered and moments later we were sitting in a comfortable booth with water and a menu. We ordered a couple kinds of egg rolls, which were good, but nothing to write home about.. Buts let's be honest, who goes to Pho for egg rolls? The Pho on the other hand was second to none. The broth was rich with flavor. The portions were healthy, like momma was serving you. Really liked that they included cilantro with the plate of fresh basil, sprouts and such. Oh my gosh. Can I give this six stars? It deserves an extra star. I love Vietnamese food in general, but this place is next-level. My kiddo and I went here for lunch today. She had the pork and rice plate; I had the pork and noodles with a vegetable egg roll (I know, I know -- "tell me you're white without telling me you're white"). The food was DELICIOUS and the servings were quite generous. Even my picky teen admitted that the food was "pretty good." That's high praise from a teen! The service here is so warm and friendly; I chatted with the owner for just a minute and he was incredibly nice. The restaurant is clean and includes cute touches, like a notice by the register written by the owner's daughter. It's not just delicious -- it's downright charming. The prices are quite fair for the value and portion sizes. The food was so good that I ordered a second helping to take home to my husband, who also LOVED it. Food is good and I agree with other review. Everyone is nice and friendly except that small young girl with glasses. She is rude and makes eyes and very awkward faces to customers as her forehead says: f** off. As a business owner myself I feel bad for the owners having an employee like her running a business with such a poor customer service. We eat there to relax and enjoy ourselves after dealing with so much but to come across our meal with a nasty attitude makes us not to come back anymore. read more

Best Banh Mi I have ever had. Hands down. This thing slaps. Restaurant was very clean and service was great. Fantastic Pho! I was feeling under the weather this morning and craving something to make me feel better...their pho was on point!!! I got the chicken with chicken broth Delicious flavor, lots of toppings, touch of heat, and wonderfully filling! My partner ordered the grilled chicken bun/noodle salad Amazing! This Pho restaurant was delightful. When you walk into the door, you get introduced to a medium-sized restaurant that looks way more modern than your average local Pho restaurant. This place is filled with puns on their signs. ex: wait pho your seat. It was very fun reading those. We had a large group of 10 and they had to make arrangements to seat all of us which went pretty smooth. Food came out great, pretty quick and all at the same time. The pho was delicious, I got the house special dac biet pho and the broth was hot and refreshing. You cannot go wrong with a nice bowl of pho after a long night of fun. The reason why this isn't a 5 star is that some of the employees lacked the customer service skills, no one checks up on you or refills water especially when half the tables waters were almost empty. We love supporting small businesses like this. Unfortunately half way thru our food we found hair. We told our server & all they did is take half off our dish. Not business like. We got fresh shrimp spring rolls and large pho tai. The rolls were good, but some herbs in the rolls would be have been good. The pho was AMAZING! It was piping hot! And huge-honestly we could have ordered the regular size. The broth was good. A little on the sweet side, but it's actually ok once all the herbs etc are infused in the broth. Pho is always the best hangover cure, and we were very lucky that there was one so close to our hotel. Parking was very easy to find and our party of ten was sat almost instantly, which was great. The decor and ambiance was outstanding - very modern, millennial, and Instagram-worthy. I can tell the target demographic was my age range, so I felt very comfortable. It took a while for the server to take our order, however. We had to flag her down to get her attention. The food itself came out quickly. I ordered the pho tai (pho with steak). The portions were generous (I was stuffed by the end of the meal), however the flavor was lackluster. I usually have to add little hoisin sauce and sriracha whenever I eat pho, but ended up having to use a lot since the broth was pretty bland. The broth was also waaaay too hot. It can get crowded but they always have plenty of servers and things generally move quickly. I like that they have options for different size bowls and the broth is always delicious. One of my all time favorite pho places. Me and my fiancee were hesitant to try this place as the interior looked a little cold and industrial with the metal tables. However one snowy night in Everett we couldn't stay away from the idea of a warm bowl of pho; and I'm glad that we did. I like my pho with everything in it from meatballs, to flank, to steak to tripe, and everything in between; and I was ecstatic that they had this. However they also have options for every variation of the above, which is perfect for everybody. The broth was piping hot but most importantly tasted phenomenal. It may have swayed my opinion a little, but they also have a chili paste in the condiments on the table which I don't always see at Asian restaurants. I don't typically write reviews but this spot deserves it! A friend and I came across this place when our normal spot was closed and I'm so happy we did. To our surprise, almost all of the tables were occupied upon arrival but we found out why after dining in. The honey walnut prawns are the best I've ever had, the quality is amazing, they're crispy and the honey sauce is delightful. The service is wonderful, the owner came to our table to ensure everything was going well and was extremely personable, you can tell he genuinely cares about his business and the people who come in. Probably the best place for Pho on the north end! The size was decent, and so were the prices. My usual problem with Pho places is the lack of flavor in the broth. My mom makes home made pho so I'm used to a broth that has been cooking for a whole day with strong flavors from spices and star anise. This place does a good job though! The flavors come through and the broth is almost clear, which speaks of its quality. The small complaint I have is that they didn't provide a lot of basil which was a problem because my mom and I got pho, but honestly not a huge deal and it's whatever. We also got a pork Vietnamese sandwich which I had high hopes for too but it honestly was a let down. The sandwich wasn't even toasted and they used the pork that people don't usually use for the sandwiches, but instead used the ones for the noodle bowls. Plus they didn't include any of the mayo or pate, which are my favorite on these sandwiches. So for me, I'd go again for the pho, but wouldn't order the sandwich anymore. read more

I love Basil because it has a very extensive menu at very good prices, portions are big and tasty, and if you are at Crucible Brewing they may deliver it to your table. It's awesome. My husband found our about this place because the Bahn Mi was so legendary, people kept urging him to go try it. Luckily for him, the reputation was well deserved and now we go grab food to go every time we are nearby. Their dining area is very well decorated and inviting. The staff are every friendly and helpful, giving excellent recommendations and service. I like to visit late in the evening, about an hour before they close, even though at this time they will most likely be out of Bahn Mi. Their soups are amazing too, and so are their noodles. With so many choices you can't go wrong. If you need a substitution they will accomodate for a fee. Parking isn't an issue either. Go give it a try. Enjoy! read more
