I can sum up my experience in three words: quick, painless, perfection! Even with the super efficient turnaround time, Raj and his team gave my requests careful thought, and offered several different options for printing, i.e. color, paper style, size, etc. It is very clear that a place like this does not need much advertising as there was a revolving door for the 30 minutes I was there picking out/picking up my products. They can handle multiple orders at once, whether it's for mass distribution on behalf of an organization or a one-off calendar order like mine. I did have to go to a Fedex/Kinkos shop to properly tape-bind a book that I had printed, but the spiral binding options at Basecamp were very polished looking. I paid more at Fedex for the binding then I did for my entire purchase at Basecamp. Overall, their customer service and work quality exceeded my expectations, and I will definitely give them my business in the near future. Thoroughly impressed. read more

I'm really happy with the uniforms I got from these guys. They made it very easy as I'm kind of new to all of this buying t shirts and all. I got hats as well this time and I couldn't be happier with my product. I'm looking forward to winter time and getting long sleeve uniforms this time. Cheers read more

Needed new business cards for a conference less than a week in advance, and I am so glad I found Basecamp. Walked in on a Friday afternoon, and they were able to create the design in less than an hour. Jess had them printed and ready by the following Wednesday afternoon right before leaving on Thursday morning, and they were exactly what I expected. My fiancé has also used them for his business, and the staff has always been incredibly helpful. You will not be disappointed by their work or professionalism. read more

I had a very simple print job (impromptu card for my girlfriend), but decided against buying heavier paper and fighting for hours to get it printed properly at home. My work uses Base Camp and it's just down the street so I sent it to them. EXCELLENT DECISION. Like I said it was a very simple print job, but Raj took his time and care making sure it came out exactly the way I wanted and on the best paper for the job. The job was likely a cheap one, but Raj spent a good 20 minutes making sure it came out right. I felt a little bad, but appreciated it very much. I'm a big fan of local places, but even I am sometimes not sure if you really get better service from them. Base Camp is a fantastic example of shopping local and it being worth every penny. Oh and the dog pictures and dog snacks are a huge plus. I doubt they'll greet your dog warmly at a Kinko's! read more

Raj and his team put together incredible materials that are far more attractive than Staples. This is the real deal- many places in DC that advertise as copy print shops have staff members that are missing in action, aren't that knowledgeable, and they have ridiculous wait times-- like needing 3 days advance warning to print 100 workbooks. It being Washington, DC, our organization often has the need to put together high quality deliverables for large and small scale groups for training and marketing purposes regularly. I came to them on a Monday asking for 3 separate orders of 100+ spiral bound, full color workbooks to be completed on a TIGHT timeline. Raj was highly communicative, flexible with his schedule to accommodate our big order, and was somewhat competitive with his pricing. I love supporting small businesses, and he hit a home run with the process and product. Highly recommend more people check out Basecamp DC! read more

Oh man, I can't say enough good things about this place. My 5 star review can't even help them at all.. look how high their rating is! I work from out in Chicago as a contractor for a DC non-profit and, though everyone there is nice, Elsie is my girl! She is so patient with me.. I often don't know exactly what I want, the words to describe it, or when I want it. If I irritate her, I'd never know it. So kind! She goes out of her way to make things work well for you. It seems to me like she loves her job, which is just so great. Happy employees, happy customers, happy people. Thanks Elsie!! read more

Customer service that goes above and beyond! Initially communicated through email with the files we wanted to print, samples were already printed on different options before we even made it to the store. Email response was instantaneous, the dedication and commitment is truly there. James helped us throughout the process and was awesome to work with. Offered great advice, amazing service and was super personable. Will definitely be returning for other printing needs! read more

Needed them twice for fast and last minute services. But leave it to Base Camp to get it done! Got business cards and a portfolio printed within an hour. They were very busy both days but they made the urgency of my jobs a priority -- which I will always appreciate. I also like how you pay on an iPad. Seemed cost efficient for them, and convenient for us. Everyone who works here is very nice and helpful. read more

Basecamp handled the printing for my wedding invitations and programs. When I sent the invitation design over, Basecamp printed mockups on 4 different papers for me to choose from, and invited me to stop by the shop the next day to see and feel each one before making the final choice. My maid of honor, who designed the invitations and programs, was thrilled that I found such an excellent local business to handle the printing. Not only did Basecamp give me high-end quality at Vistaprint prices, with incredibly responsive service, and quick turnaround time, but I also feel that I gained new friends in the process - Raj and his team are probably the friendliest business I've ever met. I sent Basecamp a holiday card in December, thanking them for their service in 2013, and received a personal email from Elsie, one of the employees, thanking me for the card. Reason #155479 why I'll keep going to Basecamp and telling everyone else to do the same. read more

Basecamp exceeded my expectations with the quality of work and turnaround time for a group of banners I ordered. They were also at least 50% cheaper than the competition. My boss was so impressed, he asked me to have all of our other ad work done by them. Great experience. read more

I love local businesses, and I always try to support them, but BaseCamp has changed a lot; I went there the first time in 2019, and Kunj and Phil were helpful; they always have a solution! You know when people want to help you. Then Raj and Amanda took place and the only answer that I received is NO, everything is difficult, or more expensive or more complicated, or they forget about a job. It's sad how things change; fortunately, there are options and cheaper like eDiscovery Solutions; I am paying a third of what they charged me for the same job and with much better customer service. read more

I have always had great service from Basecamp. I first came to Basecamp for a laptop repair dropoff during final exams, so I was slightly freaking out. The rates were reasonable, turnaround quick, and the customer service throughout (and after) the process was top flight. Affirmatively kept me informed of everything and set reasonable expectations, letting me know best and worst case timeframes. Given the timing this was appreciated. Given that good experience, I took a specialty printing job to Basecamp. Again, they put in solid effort and got the job done after I had issues with some other shops that were terrible with people. Ultimately, I gladly paid a good bit more than I would have at other shops, because of the people, and my confidence in their abilities to communicate and get my aims accomplished. In the end my job came out exactly as I had planned it out. Unreservedly recommend. read more

The gushing continues... We're moving out of DC so... How about sending 50lb+ packages to all corners of the earth? Absolutely, and they'll provide the boxes and packing materials free if they can. Returning zappos/amazon/whatever products? Yup - they'll print the return label out for you for free too. The crowning moment would be when we brought in a desktop computer to ship to a friend. We didn't have a clue how to pack it and had no packing materials. Raj and his team scrounged up bubble wrap, packing peanuts, old cardboard boxes and two people took more than 20 minutes to wrap, tape and pack each piece better than the manufacturer could have dreamed. They then performed magic with box sizing and combining in order to get the lowest possible shipping cost. The computer arrived in perfect condition and we left convinced, once again, that this is the finest customer service establishment in DC. Been there, done that, tried to buy the t-shirt but Raj wouldn't let me pay for it. read more

Once again I got great service. I called ahead of time and a nice person said they would scan and email something for me when I called. I got there an hour later with my three little bits of paper that needed scanning and they sent them to my email address so I could use them (insurance claim!). The person there was very helpful and friendly and there was parking (metered) available right nearby. This really is my go to place for faxing, scanning, odd shipping and copying as I really don't want to buy all that type of equipment! read more

I took my Macbook Pro (the all silver old heavy one) to get the logic board and a fan fixed. It costs around 250 dollars. The service was good, specifically their communication through email as they fixed my computer and they notified me immediately when they finished. The warranty is awesome and came in handy when after my initial repair one of the fans failed again. I took it back and had it fixed for free. They do try and get you to buy other stuff, but not in a pushy way. They noticed my memory was full but I declined the extension or whatever they were telling me they could do to increase my memory. They also noticed my charger was stripped (the old charger with the square white plug) and let me know they have the new chargers below market rate. They got me. I bought it. I'm the type of person that will use something until it absolutely does not work. But I'm much happier now that I don't spend 10 minutes jiggling my old cord to get it to work. I'll be back for sure. read more

I cannot say enough amazing things about Base Camp. Absolutely has supported the development of my business. I own and operate the first Reggio Emilia inspired preschool in Southern Maryland and they've assisted with the infancy stage all the way to its successful opening. Thank you Base Camp for being custumer centered. Raj (owner) should do a seminar on customer rapport because he is incredibly professionalism and personable. He knows me by name and greets me each time like I'm a new custumer. In fact because of this service I never look anywhere else when it comes to t-shirt, poster, and all paper based media needs. Great business and awesome team. See you soon Basecamp!! read more

I came today .. I want to print t-shirt that I have but they tried with every things they have to make me not use my T-shirts and buy the T-shirt from them and they increase the price up 40 $ just to print 2 shirts, I do not think they knew how to deal with customers and they think we are idiots, please there is many choices starting from online and other stores but they think we are the only place, please do not go to them unless you are not respecting your self.... read more

I had a pretty quick job for just one shirt. Suraj and Melinda were quick to respond to my request, cleaned up my graphic, and even had my order ready earlier than I requested. I needed business cards. 50-100 business cards. They said their normal time is 45 business days (!!!) and costs 45 dollars. For 45 bucks you can buy 2 packages (5oo papers each) of thick paper , add something for printing! Everything faster than that is considered urgent and than you pay outrageous prices... They can get the job done, but only if they wish to. I think they have a lot of customers and are spoiled. I had 50 business cards one sided, black and white done for 25 dollars +tax. And the lady was confused, how come the guy didn't charge me 45bucks for it... Which would make the price 1 dollar/each. I bet everything else that they do cost a ton of money. I would strongly advise to look for any other places around. read more

This place is fantastic and such a great service to have in the neighborhood. I've sent faxes through them - because who the hell has a land line and fax machine at home? I've also packaged, sent, and received packages here. The color copies are really reasonably priced and high quality. Looks like they do graphic design and make t-shirts too. I haven't used these services but I kind of want to, just to try it out. The service is fantastic, they're just really nice and helpful. These might be the nicest and most efficient people in DC. Perhaps they can whip the government into shape. read more

What a great local business! I went in to mail a package. The staff person (I think he said his name was Ben) was extremely helpful and found the best method and price to ship my package to its destination. You can tell from the moment you walk in the place that they are big on customer service. Also the store clean which is always a plus. It's also good to know that they can accept my packages for me for a small fee. I'm rarely home and am not permitted to receive personal mail at work. I definitely see myself using their services again and again! read more

Yes! Godsend! The customer service is impeccable. I mean, I actually emailed Yelp requesting to add a sixth star just for the help I received from Basecamp. When no one could do what we needed to salvage our wedding invitations, Basecamp helped us print on vellum. Quick turnaround, great service and incredible pricing. Before you even think of going to the mainstream printshops, check them out, better pricing with incomparable customer service. Do it. Do it. read more

Based on a recommendation from a friend, I decided to use Basecamp to print out my wedding invitations (which I had designed myself). They were phenomenal - Raj was extremely accommodating, as it turns out that I changed the design approx. 1,000 times in the process, and printed out a test of each one...and they turned out amazing. Not to mention that their prices were incredibly reasonable. Highly recommend! read more

Raj and his team at Basecamp are all about getting the job done right, getting the job done great, making sure their customers are happy and being a great part of the community. At first, Basecamp was just that for us... a place away from home where we could have packages sent and signed for. Since then we have worked with Basecamp on numerous printing and design projects and have been blown away the quality, the price and the professionalism. These guys really care about the community in which they work. It shows in everything they do--from their commitment to recycling anything and everything that they can (they even donate their old printer cartridges to our son's public school), to the BBQs and parties they host for neighbors and friends, and to Basecamp printing and Basecamp design is top notch. So are their prices. I admit, I was skeptical at fist but I put Raj and his team's work up against any other designers or printers out there. They get the jobs done on time, on budget---and oh yeah, it looks awesome. These guys are great. Trust them with any project big or small. If it is important to you, it is important to them. read more

blown away by their professionalism, flexibility and willingness to provide the best of the best customer service. came here because of all the glowing yelp reviews - needed an atypical project completed: convert artwork from a cassette tape to fit that of a CD case. fancy, eh? lindsey and raj were there...didn't blink (guess they have many unusual requests?), listened to what i needed and then - while i waited - made it happen. the scanner wasn't cooperating. the sizing was off. it needed multiple retrials. no bother...she was on it and patiently worked her way through my project. whole thing start to finish took just over an hour, was reasonably priced, and came with a smile. no Kinkos-chain establishment-"I can't be bothered to help you"-attitudes here. easy & friendly and totally affordable. while i was there waiting, lots of comings & goings...people using their internet docks, faxing services, picking up packages that Basecamp will hold for them. entirely awesome experience...i'm trying to figure out another project so i can use them again. read more

Running a small business is hard but people like Ben and Raj make it a lot easier. I count on these guys so much it is insane. Why would anyone ever go to Kinko's? Basecamp is still awesome. I've been with them for over a year. I was just gone for six months, and when I walked in, Raj asked me how [__activity___] was. I mean, I don't remember what I ate yesterday. When I'm away, and I want to get my mail from my box, I email Raj and he gives me a quote (always reasonable) and then ships it all to me via UPS. He's so flexible and accomodating. Basecamp is a logistical solution to being a frequent mover and gone-from-towner. I couldn't live without them. I've seen the workers turn over a couple of times now, but Raj's personal involvement keeps Basecamp continuously awesome. He must be good at hiring people, too, because everyone I've seen work there is helpful, smart, friendly and laid-back. read more
