Not only was the sales person dismissive, he told me a rush order would be "too expensive" and that he would email me a quote. Instead of emailing me a quote (while also assuming I wouldn't or couldn't pay for a rush order), he emailed me saying they don't have time to take on this job. Was not at all happy with the quality of shirts I received or the customer service. It was a rush order for t-shirt and we were told these are very nice quality shirts and you will like them. Because of the order being rush, it appears that the representative was not really patient enough with me to discuss the different variety of shirts from the beginning. So, we went with his recommendation. Upon picking up the shirts, the t-shirts were very thin and the small, medium and large sizes look like children sizes. These were for an adult sailing group. I also noticed that a lot of the other shirts that were laying around, that had been printed for other groups, were of better quality than the shirts we received. I point this out to the rep I was working with, and I expressed my concern at that time with not being pleased about the quality and size. He said, well, let us know how they go and if people like them or not. Quality is a matter of opinion. Okay. Well, the shirts were not a hit as I suspected. And when I called to report this, there was basically nothing they could do or offer to make it right. He did offer to talk to the owner about discounting an order if I would like to order printing in the future. But I feel like if you did not get the first order correct, why would I order something else? read more

I can be annoying. Case in point, my experience with DC Shirt and Print. Still, it takes two to tango. This place was recommended to me by a friend to get shirts made. I still run a record label, so a lot of my loosely appointed music friends and myself always need shirts for Miami in March for the WMC to promote our labels. A couple of years ago, I hit up the owner, John, when DCS&P was still called Buddha Screen Group. BSG had done some shirts for my friend many years ago that looked freakin' fab. Part of that was due to Jefferson Liu (Evecom)'s great design work, but back then BSG offered the kind of screen printing you couldn't get anywhere except Cali, NYC and for some reason, Texas and normally you'd pay an arm and a leg for. John was semi-helpful on round one, wherein the shirt project was aborted due to my inability to get the shirt down to a proper amount of colors and remove some of the artwork that rendered it unfit for silk-screening. I do illustration, and to get it shirt-ready would have compromised the art too much. This year, I was commissioned to do a shirt for someone else, and the same sort of situation ensued. I am a print designer, but the only shirts I've done in the past were very basic (fonts, two color, a logo, etc).--nothing as intricate as taking artwork and making it screen-ready. I pestered John a bit, tried to get more clear advice and reworked the art a few times, until he basically started ignoring me. Then yesterday I got this: "Hello, Is it just me, or have we been sending this artwork back and forth for close to three years now....? Your image (from my perspective) should not be printed in halftones. It will change the print. With this said, your design appears to have: 6 + colors when printed on lights. Add a white underbase for printing on darks." I think that's helpful, but even after 10+ years in the industry I'm not entirely clear on what he means. It's not that hard to pick up the phone. I just wouldn't call it stellar customer service. Bottom line: he was sick of dealing with me, and seemed to be saying he was done. So I'm going somewhere else. Low rating for feeling dissed, and minus a star for not carrying American Apparel tees, the shirts everyone and their momma seems to want to have shit printed on. I have to give a second star, though, because the shirts I have seen from BSG were so flippin' hot. read more

4.5 Stars We just picked up our second order from DC Shirt. We purchased 400 shirts. (800 total for 2 orders) In researching a place to buy t-shirts for the company I work for, we priced out many vendors both online and locally, and DC Shirt was by far the best price. For some perspective, they were cheaper then the competition when comparing apples to apples by almost $1 per shirt! The whole process was quick and efficient, although there were some difficulties initially with the first order with flexibility of them receiving the graphic file (which is why I gave a 1/2 star deduction). We had no issues when reversing our print colors on this second order. With our first order, he was willing to split the order to send part of it to a tradeshow and the other to our office, this was very helpful with the time crunch we were dealing with. From the time we contacted DC Shirt to place the order to the time we picked up the new shirts was less than 7 business day. Plus, John, the owner, went above and beyond to take care of us, as repeat customers. We will continue to work with DC Shirt and Print for future orders. It is very difficult navigating the world of online printers, whether I need cards printed or T-Shirts. Prices and styles vary dramatically, and you hope to pick the right vendor - someone honest, talented, able to explain different fabric blends, printing styles, prices, etc. I used this company when they first began as Bhudda...Printing. The first job was fine, though in hindsight I am sure I overpaid. When I've tried to print with them since they have grown, I am met only with frustration. There was no loyalty. When the owner first tarted his business , he personally canvassed the neighborhood to ask us to support him as a local business.. In a recent attempt at ordering, I asked for quote on several jobs and also mentioned my budget. Several attempts to contact them were met with no return call or email. There are too many other good-enough printers out there, that I would recommend not getting caught with this printer. read more

We have used DC Shirt and Print twice, both times with GREAT results. We find their prices to be competitive and their quality to be superior. They have not only printed our Orion's Attic t-shirts but also a big batch of hoodies. We ordered the highest quality material on both and it has been worth the extra few bucks. We abuse our "Attic gear" in estate sales, junk removal jobs and more. The shirts have taken a pounding and still feel soft and fresh and the design has not faded from the shirts despite them being washed a zillion times. It also never fails that every time we do a public event, people tell us they love our shirts and that they would even wear them. I did a small order with this company to try them out, BTW I went in their office to feel them out and should have notice the funny feelings I had. When I got ready for another order their machine was so suppose to be broken, I called left many messages no one would email me back. I called just yesterday and spoke with DAVE or John I belive and he told me to email my order. Mind you this order is over 100 tshirts needed, mind you I paid for my art work and etc, so they have everything..I can feel the disrespect through the phone. the tshirt says missing Obama and I have sold many of these shirts, the last supplier I use before DCTS is out of the business of making tshirts. I was recommend to this place. I saw one of the reviews that said they don't return calls (I should have listen) they don't deserve a one star. Not only did I wait over a month for their machine to be repaired..these people never even emailed or called to say it's fix. Or like they wanted my business..OK I am now good with that! But I am not good with losing $50.00 on set up fee's. So what would you think they don't want my money..Or is is that I am selling A OBAMA TSHIRT? very well? I had a friend call yesterday just to see if they are serious about business and she said they said yes make a appointment or etc. but this place is the worst.
