Outstanding service and top-notch quality!! As a repeat customer (since 2019), I'm always glad to collaborate with Darren. He truly goes above and beyond to ensure the customer is completely satisfied. I've ordered custom T-Shirts and hooded sweatshirts, with complex designs, and I have always been pleased with the end product. Darren's dedication stands out, as he takes the time to understand customer needs, provides guidance & mock-ups, and ensures the end result is nothing short of perfection. The quality of the T-shirts is excellent, and they've consistently met my expectations. I'd suggest arranging a pick-up if you can because delivery sometimes presents a few hiccups (due to the external contractor they use). However, there is no extra cost for delivery and it gets done - so that's no biggie. I highly recommend Planet of the Inks for anyone seeking quality products, reasonable pricing, and great service. Thanks, Darren! **Bonus: This is a small, Black-owned business read more

Worked with them once and was astonished at how great the customer service was. Would definitely recommend again!

I really wanted a t-shirt printed on super short notice the week of Christmas and Planet of the Inks came through for me--love the shirt and I am so grateful they accommodated me during a really busy time of year. They were really easy to work with. read more

Planet of the Inks - My shirt (we provided the design) - Screen Printing/T-Shirt Printing Near Me - Washington, DC, District of Columbia

I reached out to Planet of The Inks based upon their Yelp reviews. They did not disappoint! I submitted my order 3 days before I wanted to pick the shirts up. My order was accidentally missed, but they made up for it by turning an order for 6 custom t-shirts around in a day. This is after having issues with matching the design I wanted, since I couldn't provide the original image/design file for my logo. Pick-up was extremely easy, ample parking, etc; and, the pricing and customer service were also great!! The shirts were a hit!! In fact, I've ordered more. Planet of The Inks will have all of my custom printing business from here on out. read more

This business took my payment, communicated extensively with me via email, then never delivered on the t-shirt order and stopped replying to my emails. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company in order to get my money back. Working with them was a complete waste of time and ended up delaying an important project. read more

Man, I'm really glad everyone else had a great experience with this place, but I just had a terrible one. What should have been a simple transaction started Tuesday: I need the attached graphic on a black women's large t-shirt for a costume before Saturday, can you do that? 18 emails later wherein it appears basic communication is impossible for them, I write them Friday asking when it's going to be ready. No response. No one picks up the phone there ever. And now I'm stupidly running around town buying cheap Avery iron-on transfer paper and trying to find an inkjet printer and hoping this works. The confusion? They'd sent an invoice but it had the wrong t-shirt brand listed (I need a relaxed fit brand so the image doesn't warp when it stretches, and the brand they listed was a tight-fitting one). Once I clarified the brand/fit I needed, I asked three separate times if I should just pay the old invoice or if they wanted to send a new one, and he clearly replied that they needed to send me a revised invoice, which never came. On Friday I asked again when the invoice was coming and when the shirt would be ready and they just replied 'we already sent you an invoice' (the one they said not to pay). I've seen a lot of shoddy customer service communication before but I swear this one takes the cake. For such a simple transaction to turn into a clusterf**k is just ridiculous. read more

Planet of the Inks does GREAT work, they are very professional and a pleasure to work with! I will most certainly work with them again for my DMV apparel printing needs! read more

High quality t-shirt printing and amazing customer service! I was not disappointed- our T-Shirts were printed quickly and looked AMAZING- better than I expected. The cherry on top is interacting with the people! The only word to describe working with the people at Planet of the Inks is "delightful," which is not a word I use to describe customer service often! read more

What an outstanding business!!! We came to the DC area to support a loved one who was going through some major medical procedures. We wanted to make a fun t-shirt we could wear that would help lighten the mood and show our support. Timing was important. Planet of the Inks was very responsive. They corresponded quickly and had our t-shirts within a day. They even delivered. Reasonable prices, excellent quality and a service that couldn't be beat. I couldn't give higher praise! Thank you Plant of the Ink for helping us get through such a difficult time. read more

I've been working with Darren since he had a shop on Capitol Hill, and i was so happy when i found out he opened a place much closer to me. it's really difficult to find someone who will print just a few items at a time. He offers an affordable, quality product and clearly takes great pride in his work. Plus he's just so nice (which probably isn't a reason to get your shirts printed. but it's definitely helpful). I have recommended him to colleagues and i'll definitely be back. I usually try to let him know to make sure he's okay with drop off/pick up times. Let's support local businesses! No idea about parking (i don't have a car), but it's located in Adams Morgan near that Starbucks at the top of the hill and Stroga. read more

I called up Planet of the Inks looking for a t-shirt as part of a Valentines gift. As promised they came through with exactly what I asked for. However, I ordered the wrong size, so I was in a pickle come Friday February 13th. I called up Darren (who I believe is the founder) again asking if he could make the same shirt in a different size on Saturday February 14th. He went out of his way to make it happen and again came through with a great shirt/gift. On a personal level, I really appreciated the care he put into my customer experience! I wish Planet of the Inks the best of luck. read more

They did a great job on a quick turnaround, and the price was reasonable. Really as good as it can get!

I needed a shirt done the day of my event. I emailed the night before and received a prompt response from them. I was able to send the image and the font for the words I needed and the shirt was ready within a few hours. I wore it to my partner's show that night and everyone loved it! read more

I needed some custom t-shirts made for a race last minute (the day before the race). I called Planet of the Inks and spoke to Darren. This company has excellent customer service. The whole process was very easy (e-mailed my design, they sent back a mock-up for me to approve). The shirts were ready early and they looked great! The prices were way cheaper than the online vendors I was initially looking to use. I highly recommend! read more

I went back and forth for days with one of their major competitors, trying to tweak designs/adjust orders, and wasn't making any progress. Within a few housr, I had an order placed and paid for, with the exact design I wanted initially on the competitor's site. Extremely prompt email responses to all my questions, I'll definitely plan on using these guys again. read more

THIS. PLACE. IS. AMAZING. Darren and everyone at Planet of The Inks was amazingly flexible and understanding especially with the short time frame. They were always responsive even after business hours. They were super careful and made sure to call me to confirm small details but i know it's because they wanted to successfully execute the job!!! I placed an order for 2 customed t- shirts. Several emails were sent with the print and color agreement complete to my satisfaction. It was specifically stated that the shirts would be worn on large busted women an XL and a 2XL that would require that the lettering for both shirts to start up closer to the collar of the shirt. That way the lettering would be visible and not up under the bosom. This was the main reason for going to this "Custom" shop. My order was placed within my 3 week wait deadline. I was not in a hurry for these quality shirts and I had no idea what the technicalities would be to create the shirts. When I received my invoice, I went in person to pay....I was able to go over the design again as laid out over emails. I was able to explain again the importance of where the design should start in "measurements" from the collar. I was given an estimate on pick up time which was a week out. When I checked back....2 weeks later from initial payment /agreement...I received email for pickup at a specific time in the same day. I was met before entering the office with my t-shirts bagged and ready, handed to me on the stairwell. I opened my items in the hallway.......I am completely disappointed....The designs were different from the agreement. Because I was met in the hallway with the items, I felt uncomfortable to enter the business to discuss my dissatisfaction. Having given Planet of the Inks 2 weeks to do 2 shirts....it is now too late for corrections or to wait on reprints. I will not use this service again. read more

High quality product, great customer service and fair prices are the reasons I give Planet of the Inks five stars. The fellow who tended to me (I believe his name was Darin) was particularly responsive to my needs. This is the first place I will go in the future when I need customized gear. read more

These guys were terrific. They were so patient with me whenever I had questions, needed to adjust my order, and even coming in early to work on my order when I stalled in ordering, yet needed the t-shirts quickly before heading out of town. They went above and beyond at every turn, and if that wasn't great enough, the work itself came out beautiful. Completely recommend, and I will definitely be using their services again going forward. read more

Darren rushed an order for me for a last minute Coaches' gift. He was amazingly pleasant and got the job done even faster than I expected. I normally use CustomInk, but they weren't able to fulfill my request. Now, I am much more likely to turn to Planet of the Inks for my next order. I really appreciate the kind, considerate responses from Darren and consider his handling of my needs to be top notch! read more

They are very responsive and always answered my emails in a matter of hours. They are very accommodating and even dropped off my shirts to my house. The shirts came out exactly as I expected them to. I have never felt compelled to write a Yelp review before, but this place is fantastic!! The customer service I experienced here was phenomenal, and the team is extremely responsive to email, answering within a matter of minutes. I needed a custom shirt for a party I am attending, and they printed the shirt exactly how I requested in a matter of days. I had trouble making it to the office during the hours they were open, so they hand-delivered it to me at my home after hours! I couldn't be more pleased with my experience here and would recommend this company to everyone!! read more
