A friend who lives abroad asked me if I could digitize an old LP so he could use some of the tracks for an upcoming funeral. Rick was able to do exactly that. I received great quality audio files the same day, payment was reasonable and easy, and even the receptionist was helpful when I initially called. Highly recommend Rick and his business! read more

Be very careful about establishing EXACTLY what you need before accepting a project estimate from this business. I agreed to color correction without realizing it would be done automatically and with garish results. I also did not specifically request that the original raw scans of my photos should be saved and made available to me, resulting in no access to uncorrected scans. When I raised concerns about these matters, the business owner simply stopped responding to me. read more

While we didn't end up using the services in the end, the owner is super professional, kind, and thoughtful. If I had another opportunity to use them I would. read more

We had a great experience at digital recollections. They did a wonderful job quickly and at a reasonable cost.

Super helpful with my family tapes! We sent four to start, and the quality and quick turnaround were amazing. Definitely sending the rest in soon. read more

As a kid, my family came to the US back in the early 1980's. During that time, we brought pictures stretching back to the 40's. Now that I'm in MY 40's, I realize how important the pictures would be when talking to my kids about their great grandparents, grandparents, and even me as a baby/child. Rick and his crew were extremely careful in digitizing these treasures. They quoted me a price (can't speak on price comparisons cause this was my first time), and got it done right on time. My family LOVES the digital pics, and we spent hours going over fond memories of those we have now, and the ones we've lost. Knowing that these memories will last forever digitally gave me a great sense of security for preserving my family's legacy. I definitely plan on making albums for family as Christmas gifts. I'll be using them again soon as I get the next box of photos ready. TL:DR Very friendly, professional, and great at their craft. I can't recommend Rick and his team enough. read more

Rick created a slide show video of childhood photos for my daughter's wedding. This included scanning and pairing photos on the screen. The final result was wonderful. Rick was very responsive and patient with my requests and changes and the whole project was very reasonably priced and completed ahead of my deadline. Very pleased! read more

To say that Rick and the Digital Recollections team helped give me my childhood back is an understatement. My mom and grandma took over 17,000 photos from the 1920s - 2005 (when I got my own digital camera) and my mom stored them all in boxes of boxes with envelopes. There were multiple types of film and some photos on DVDs and some extremely vintage and old photos that I had no idea what format they were in. It was absolutely overwhelming! My mom passed away 5 years ago and (as an only child) I inherited all of her boxes of photos and knew that I wanted nothing more than to be able to see what was actually in the boxes again and to see my parents again (my dad had passed away when I was 8) and to see us all grow up and to have so much life. I brought my boxes to Digital Recollections earlier last year and Rick and his team were excited and assured me that they could absolutely digitize my family's history. I had created a naming system for all of the photo files which they followed so well. And after faithfully digitizing and organizing all of the photos (including the photos on DVDs that I could not read and thought were lost to time!) I got my childhood back and got to see my parents again last fall. I can't recommend Digital Recollections enough! Working with Rick was so easy and he was so diligent in his responses. If I could give 6 stars, I would! Thank you Rick! Thank you Digital Recollections team! And I'm sorry you had to see all of those awkward photos of my Pokemon phase :) read more

I needed to get 1,000+ old photos digitized as a birthday gift for my mom. Never had this done before, so I was a little nervous about how it would turn out. I definitely didn't need to be! Rick was so nice and quick to reply to my messages - he explained everything clearly so I understood the process. The price was fair and he was very accommodating in finding a time for me to drop off. The digitized photos turned out incredible and I couldn't believe how quickly he was able to get them done. Will definitely be coming back with more photos. Can't recommend enough! read more

I cannot say enough to praise Rick at Digital Recollections! When my dad requested just dinner at home for his 70th birthday, I was struggling with a way to make the day special for him in a low-key way. I found some old home videos in my parents' house and, at the last minute, thought that a surprise family movie night after dinner would be just the thing to make his birthday super special! But now I was so short on time with the big day just a few days away! When I was searching for someone to convert the 8-mm tapes to DVD and FAST, I called digital recollections and Rick bent over backwards to make it happen! He even let me drop off the tapes to his home mailbox at 6am since I needed to drop them off before my very early work hours. Then he worked to get everything done for me by that same afternoon. When I came to pick up the DVDs that afternoon, I asked where I could go nearby to scan in some old photos so I could get copies made for a collage I was making. Rick then scanned my photos onto a USB for me so that it would be super easy to take to CVS and have printed on my way home. After this day, Rick was still working on making some additional DVD copies for me, and was also able to piece together some tapes that had broken from old age. When I couldn't pick up the new batch of DVDs because of recent knee surgery, he happily mailed them to me right away. Thank you, Rick, for making my dad's 70th birthday so amazing! Movie night with the family was truly meaningful! Thank you also for saving precious moments from broken tapes! I can't wait to return to Digital Recollections with all the old tapes I can find! The memories that have been recaptured are priceless! read more

Rick lost the microcassette recordings of family history interviews of my late father, grandfather and grandmother that I left in his hands for digitiziation. The audio files Rick emailed after several months include machine noise and faint conversations of his family in the background over the only recordings I had left of these family members. When I showed up to the store unannounced to get a response, he handed me someone else's microcassettes. It took me 2 years to write this review after insisting for months to get a response or even an explaination. Rick just didn't seem to care at all. I barely got an apology after multiple attempts to contact him. I should've bought a cassette recorder online and done it myself. I still tear up thinking about the absolute lack of concern for these irreplacable memories. read more

Outstanding company, really couldn't ask for more. Received a reasonable quote on Yelp within 30 minutes and set up a day to drop off two 8mm tapes I wanted converted to digital. All of the work was complete the next day, and we were able to pick up the thumb drive. It was awesome being able to watch tapes that were created 20+ years ago on my tablet. Highly recommend this business, and if I can find more tapes, I will absolutely be back. read more

Rick, instead of the restorations I requested on one photo in particular, simply scanned it. None of them had ANY color corrections, and several were blown up to 5"x5". Why would I want to go to the extra expense of tracking down frames of that size? It was the worst misuse of my trust! It was an even worse waste of money and time. Never, ever again. None of the photos were in their original size, yet Rick didn't bother to give me the courtesy of advising me of that! read more

Rick Reinsch's Digital Recollections is outstanding! He has digitized many photographs and documents for me, often bringing the oldest ones into brighter focus, caring for original materials, always completing jobs promptly, and staying in touch during and after the job. Better yet, his prices are fair and competitive. Rick recently helped me self-publish a book telling an important family story. He is gifted in both technical and aesthetic aspects of self-publishing. Without him, my stack of drafts would still be sitting on the kitchen table. Instead, I now have 50 copies of a beautiful, professionally-produced book to share with my family. He deserves more than 5 stars! read more

They took DVD that someone else did to get the data from my cassette tapes that were done on Fisher Price PXL. I wanted it put in the cloud. They discovered there was no data. They charged me nothing because they said it didn't seem right. They works and from my view deserved payment for the time and effort. Will be back. read more

The folks at Digital Recollections are incredibly friendly, responsive, and do fantastic work. I contacted them about pricing to convert a vinyl LP to digital (CD and thumb drive) and they responded very quickly with an affordable quote. This is a wonderful local business that I would recommend to anyone who wants to digitize family photos, home movies, records, or anything else. Thank you so much! read more

I started by calling legacy box in order to transfer my old vhs tapes into digital format. They told me 8 weeks turnaround. I then found this place on Yelp and found out they had a 24 hour turnaround! It was super easy and cheap. Excellent, courteous service. My video was converted from VHS tape to digital and the results were excellent. A bit pricier than similar services in the area but I thought it was worth it to be sure it was a very professional job. I was extremely pleased. Being inside Minuteman Press, the hours aren't quite as convenient as they could be. Also, I had to call to find the place because I didn't see any signage indicating its presence in the mall. Nonetheless, I highly recommend them if you need digital conversion services. read more

For my Dad's birthday I had Digital Recollections repair his favorite image of my Mom when they were dating. Rick did an amazing and fast turnaround job on retrieving the contents of an old VHS tape that my Aunt recorded 20 years ago. I have nothing but positive things to say about Digital Recollections. Please ask for Rick and he will take care of your digital needs. I was amazed by the lovely environment and all the employees working hard. I had a crappy photo and Rick was detailed, specific, and honest on what he would do. Digital Recollections was a referral from a friend. I sent them about 1,000 pictures from my childhood to digitize. They were very accessible, communicative and timely with the project.
