It's an older model, but it feels new now. While working on my laptop, Chris communicated every step of the way. He let me know when the parts were ordered, when they arrived, and when he was planning on installing the parts. He also gave me step-by-step progress on the shipping. Once it arrived, he had me boot it up to make sure everything looked good to me. It was clear he set aside some time on the delivery date just in case I needed to troubleshoot anything with him. Found this business from a Yelp search. My computer hinge came apart. Winstonn communicated well,…read morevia text & call. And was flexible with me to be able to meet at his house & drop off my laptop. The issue was the left side hinge that someone came undone. He left me know he needed to order some screws and the updated price. Once he had the hinge "fixed" he didn't like the way the laptop screen now "stuck out". So he brought a new screen/backing for my laptop. Since he was not personally happy with the way it looked, he offered to buy me a new/used latop. I never saw it with the "poked out" screen but I would have rather kept my laptop. He said he would take some time and research for laptops of my specified specs. So, I said okay. Please let me know what you find before making any purchases. A few days later he calls and tell me that he opened up my laptop, saw water damage, and now miraculousy my laptop NO LONGER WORKS. The screen does not appear - even with external monitors, just black. This was very disappointing and frustrating. Laptop worked fine before I dropped it off, with the exception of the hinge that came undone. Not sure why he didn't check everything (atleast turning it on/off) in the beginning. I even asked if he wanted the power charging cord when I dropped off the laptop. Still dont understand why he would offer a new laptop and then a few days later say my laptop doesnt work and he's not going to replace my laptop. I paid $170 for the service & to get my laptop back, that is NO LONGER works now. Ultimately, I had to purchase a new laptop. I personally would not recommend Added for owners comment : I would not drive nearly an hour back and forth and pay to get the hinge fixed on a broken laptop.. Please, let's be serious here. laptop worked perfectly fine before and when I dropped it off to you. I even sent you pics during our texting. And I offered to leave my charging cord so you could keep it charged etc. as needed. Also, I am not a "computer tech" why didn't/don't you ask questions before anyone drops equipment off to you to make sure you are not wasting yours or anyone's time? I am not being dishonest here or with my review- and I greatly don't appreciate you calling me a liar. Think my review is still fair and told you in person I was disappointed in your service. I waiting patiently for the fix, which you already ordered both parts - and then you asked me WEEKS after the purchase of parts & from when I dropped it off, you asked about water damage for which I said yes- water may have gotten into like two years ago - however it still worked fine for an almost 4 year old computer, so why would I think to mention that? Also, if there was water damage and the laptop was inoperable I would have gotten a new laptop years ago and not went to you to fix a hinge. Perhaps ask questions of customers and their equipment before you take on their project and for you to educate them, for all parties to agree or decline for you to take on their project upfront? That would be a recommendation for my honest, fair review here There is nothing more to say here, I don't generally go back and forth with people but you're trying to defame my character and I don't appreciate that. We will leave my review at this, You seem to have pretty good reviews so ppl can base their desire to use your service on those . I just didn't have a good experience. Good day

Xerox WC 6515DNI Printer Not Working…read more Omid visited as promised and was timely. He's very professional and easy to speak with. He doesn't mind answering questions and engaging with the client. As with any technology, one never really knows what the issue might be that is causing the problem. At the outset, Omid thought it might be the fuser but after testing the printing using the bypass paper tray, and the print job completing, he quickly ruled out it being a fuser issue. At this point he did some research on his phone and then did a soft reset on the printer. Unbelievably it resolved my printer printing issue that I was having from using the main paper tray. He couldn't be sure as to why the printer settings were corrupted and had to be reset, but who cares at this point because I had been faced with buying a fuser, a new printer or any other expensive part. Most importantly I didn't have to continue going to the library to print anymore at $.15/page. I highly recommend Omid and his company.

I found Advanced Computer Center via Yelp of course. The reviews were all positive and I had just…read moreleft the geeks at the big electronics store and they were kinda useless. My laptop was no longer charging and it looked as if the power cord connector was broken. The geeks told me they weren't sure what the problem was and if it was the connector/prongs, they would have to send my laptop back. I was pretty uncomfortable with that especially because they couldn't tell me exactly how much it would cost or how long they would have my laptop. So, to Yelp I went. Not sure why I didn't do that first, but thank goodness I did. Advanced Computer Center shares space with a Kitchen Remodeling store. So, don't get confused by the address and the store front. Advanced Computer Center was in the back of the store. The gentlemen who I assume is the owner and the technician was super friendly. He looked at my laptop and immediately could see what the problem was. He quoted me a price and told me when I could expect a call to pick up my laptop. As promised they called to tell me my laptop was fixed and I could pick it up. I'm typing from my laptop right now. So, that should show you that I'm a satisfied customer. I would definitely recommend Advanced Computer Center.

I had a first-rate experience dealing with this company. My laptop stopped functioning; the reviews…read morefor this company were encouraging. I called up and spoke to someone on the phone, and arranged to bring in the laptop for repair -- it sounded as if the solid-state drive was going to have to be replaced, certainly a drag but better than a new laptop. I confess it was a bit off-putting to come into an area hosting some 30 different companies and hand off a computer to a receptionist, even though that's what the voice on the phone had told me to do. But I was contacted even sooner than expected with word that the drive was fine, only windows would have to be reinstalled. Turns out that it was the famous Darrell Cephas, praised in review after review here; he explained what was going on. I was to go in to pick up the laptop the next afternoon. And damned if I didn;t get called out of a meeting following morning because Darrell was dropping off the laptop in person. All fixed. I give extra props because I next consulted him about maybe heloing with our desktop whose hard drive is running out of space. He quoted a price for that work, but very candidly said that the desktop is old enough that it really does not make sense to extricate the guts and install a whole new hard drive. He explained how I could supplement the memory on my own while looking for a new desktop. Recommending against paying work because it doesn't deserve to be done is the mark of a true professional. I don't give many five-star reviews, but I do for this one.
