A2Z responded promptly to our request and, in just a brief visit to her home, the technician (Ari G.) configured her computer, connected it to the Internet, restored a lapsed email account, installed an anti virus program and several apps and shortcuts that she used regularly on her old computer. The next day, she told me thankfully that Ari completed all of these tasks successfully, that he was proficient, very kind and patient, that he explained what he was doing, and clear in his instructions in what she could safely do and not do with her new PC. He will tell you if something doesn't need to be done, or if it can be done at less cost. He's also a really nice guy. These are some of the things he helped us with: Switching our email system from Google Workspace to Microsoft Office 365 for business, including email migration, calendars, and files shared between all the users, He synced our computers and mobile phones, and backed up emails. He also set up Office online so we could have access to our files and contacts when not in the office. He set up daily computer backups on a local network storage device and to a cloud service. Oren suggested installing remote access on our computers so he could do evaluations and diagnostics remotely. That really came in handy for us as he was able to provide support even when he was elsewhere or had a break between clients but was too far to make an in-person visit. IT consulting and training. It had restarted so many times that some security feature was preventing all logins. First, they had to solve the login problem by cracking Windows security. Then they ran diagnostic tests that revealed RAM faults, requiring a new motherboard. In a few days, the new motherboard arrived, and now the computer is back home and working perfectly. This is the same sort of experience I've had before with the Computer Technology Center, so I was not surprised. Their office is open--they don't take your machine to another room. They'll do the diagnosis right in front of you. If the repair is simple, they'll make the repair while you watch. This openness gives one great confidence in their work. The price for the work was very reasonable. I hope I don't have another computer failure soon, but when I do, there's no question where I will go.

One of my 20' XLR microphone cables failed while I was doing a remote recording session...scratches and crackling from a short circuit. I brought the cable to Elman for repair. He found the problem and fixed it. The "extra mile" was his applying heat shrink to the soldered leads which has two benefits: - stabilizes the leads against strain, and, should they get pulled again, prevents them from touching and should prevent electrical short circuiting. This attention to detail is all too unusual in today's marketplace. Kudos to Elman.

I started having issues with my video card overheating, despite being on a cooling pad. After some research I determined that the issue was that the fans were probably either dead or failing and needed to be replaced. I called Adrian, who was able to pick up my laptop at my house and returned it to my house (sweet!). It did take almost 2 weeks for my laptop to be repaired as it is a computer that he doesn't usually work on so he didn't have spare parts just lying around (completely cool - I knew that was doing to happen). I had to reach out to him a few times for updates though. He also suggested that while he had it open he could upgrade the RAM which is a no brainer for me. All in all it works great - no issues now.
