I started having issues with my video card overheating, despite being on a cooling pad. After some research I determined that the issue was that the fans were probably either dead or failing and needed to be replaced. I called Adrian, who was able to pick up my laptop at my house and returned it to my house (sweet!). It did take almost 2 weeks for my laptop to be repaired as it is a computer that he doesn't usually work on so he didn't have spare parts just lying around (completely cool - I knew that was doing to happen). I had to reach out to him a few times for updates though. He also suggested that while he had it open he could upgrade the RAM which is a no brainer for me. All in all it works great - no issues now. My computer broke down, and my daughter found me a place with excellent recommendations. Consequently, I visited AZ; the owner, Adrian, performed a diagnostic analysis to repair my computer and charged $300.00 for his services. This is where my ordeal began: the estimated repair time was two hours, yet he didn't return the computer to me until five hours later. When I received it, the computer was covered in poorly applied glue--so much so that if I touch it, the whole thing threatens to fall apart. To make matters worse, due to his shoddy work, I cannot even use the computer because the keyboard settings are completely messed up. In short, the quality of his work is abysmal. But my situation didn't end there; I called him to explain that I was dissatisfied with his work and that my keyboard wasn't functioning. Mr. Adrian responded with offensive language and a complete lack of professionalism, stating that while he *could* take another look at it if I wanted, doing so would incur an additional cost. I thought long and hard before writing about my grievance--especially since he threatened me with legal action via his lawyers--but I ultimately decided to speak out. I realized that just as I suffered through this negative experience, there must be others who have gone through the same thing; however, because Mr. Adrian is so intimidating, people often prefer to simply stay silent and say nothing. What a sham this business is, scamming people of their money. Shame on you, Adrian. The owner is quick to get you in the door and charge your credit card, but he doesn't care about you or your data after that. ASK FOR EVERYTHING IN WRITING, and do not take him at his word. When I arrived to this home-office with my device (October 2025), he told me that the diagnostic charge he had quoted me over the phone ($150) was ACTUALLY $250. By that time, I had already driven 30 minutes to get there, so I hesitantly agreed to the $250 charge, and proceeded with the (verbal only) agreement that he would run diagnostics on my device. After that - I never received even an email, invoice, or receipt from him - NOTHING! I got a phonecall a few days later, in which he old me the data is not recoverable and I might as well toss the device, because it's useless. I picked up my device immediately, and shipped it off to a real company for accurate diagnostics. I will be disputing this with my credit card company, and going to the BBB if I have to. read more

So Adorian said need diagnose. i paid $158 for that, few day after he colled me ready to pick up, he also charge $580 for fix probrems. What a nightmare. Brought my laptop in Friday 8/31 for repair and was told that the price for diagnosis is $150 which would be deducted from any repairs. I was also told I would get an estimate in 24-48 hrs. When I got home and recorded the receipt it said $157.50, I thought that was odd but figured it must be taxes. 3 days later on Tuesday he finally called and said the repair would be $483 LESS the 150. On the same phone call he came back and said 'oh wait the price is $483 plus the $150 I had already paid. Reluctantly I came to pick it up today 9/3/2025 and guess what--the price was now $509.25 due to a 5% surcharge for credit cards which was NEVER mentioned in any discussion. To top it off he REFUSED to give me a paper receipt claiming he would send it via email--and guess what ---the receipt never came . I called him back on the phone and he said "we sent the receipt" I said please resend---he said no he will not. Would not even give me the courtesy of a receipt. Now what happens if the computer breaks down? I have no proof of purchase. Basically i just got defrauded. Now hopefully this guy will do the right thing. I have never seen anything like this. Stay away is my advice. NOTE: The response below from AZ Computers contains false information. The reason I brought it in was random crashes and after paying $600 + dollars it STILL crashes randomly. And yes I did contact them within hours of picking the computer up to: Ask for an itemized receipt and report the continued crashing. If I could, i'd make the review a 2.5 stars, but i'm not able to. Adrian was a decent guy. Came by my house and told me he had to take my PC to his place to "diagnose" it. I'm not too informed with computers or else I would've done this myself, but I hoped for the best leaving it in his hands. It was urgent for me to get this done so I might've been too quick to jumping the gun on this transaction. One of my SSD's wasn't working whatsoever and I wanted to see if it could be repaired or salvaged in some way. He was very quick with responding. There seemed to be a mistake in the communication because he didn't do anything with the SSD that ended up being dead and I had to go to get a new one regardless. The memory wasn't recovered, but it's not the end of the world since it wasn't important information. I practically paid him almost $1k to clean up the pc, throw some thermal paste on the cpu, and allocate memory which i just learned in 5-10 minutes and did with the new SSD. It was my first time with this type of service and I ended up stressed at the end of the day. Down a lot of money and had to get a new SSD at Best Buy on my way back home from picking up the PC. Lost a lot in this transaction with little to no value of the service. The positives is that he was decent, quick with responding, and efficient in timing, but that's not much to say for a couple minutes of storage allocation. I personally believe I deserve compensation since I paid way more than I should have, but what am I going to do ‍ Anyways, I hope this was helpful. After almost a month of fighting with a gaming desktop, having replaced the PSU, RAM and reinstalling Windows on two of four SSD's I called AZ Computers. They charged me $155.90 upfront to pick up mu PC and perform a diagnostic. Two days later they called and said I had a short and wanted $650 to re-wire it. I declined and had them drop it off. I replaced the Motherboard, cpu and rewired the entire unit myself only to find I had the same boot issue/automatic repair. Spoke to another shop, they suggested a a fresh SSD with a fresh copy of Windows on ALL my SSD's and guess what, it works. AZ took $155.90 for nothing! I brought two failed hard drives to Mr. Zegarra. I explained to him that one had failed from age and use and the other, my backup HD, had died because it had fallen to the floor (roughly 18 inches) 3 times. I also told Mr. Zegarra that I had tried connecting both hard drives to my PC as external drives (I have the necessary equipment to do this) with no luck. I further explained that I had opened the backup HD in the hope of fixing it myself and, after failing, when I reassembled it, I was unable to get all the screws fully in place. This was EVIDENT by the way two of the screws stood out from their proper seats. Standing outside his house or business, Mr. Zegarra came up to my car and all the above was done out on the street. Mr. Zegarra told me that he would try to recover data from the HDs; I told him to start with the still sealed drive. IF successful, there was no need to look at the other since it was a backup of the first. Mr. Zegarra then told me there was a non-refundable $150 "diagnostic" fee and that it would take him about two weeks to work on the drives. I FOOLISHLY agreed to the above without any written contract. JUST TWO DAYS later, Mr. Zegarra called to tell me that both Hard Drives were dead. EXACTLY what I had told him up front! He told me that he was unable to retrieve any data and told me that he would deliver the drives to my home at no charge. He called back a few minutes later and told me there would be a DELIVERY CHARGE. When I declined, he told me that I would need to pick the drives up in Gaithersburg. I agreed. He then called me again to tell me he was in Maryland close to the DC border but would be in Leisure World that is very near my home. Ironically, at the moment of this call, i was in Costco in Gaithersburg, a few miles from his home/business address. He tried to convince me to go to his home and wait for him, telling me he could be there within 20 minutes. Remember, he was down near the DC border. NO WAY could he go from there to Leisure World, take care of business there and get home in 20 minutes. I did NOT want to sit around waiting for him! I asked him to deliver the hard drives to my home and leave them in my mail box. My home is no more than 5 minutes from Leisure World. He balked but agreed to do so. When I got home, the drives were safely in my mail box. I examined them and was SHOCKED to see that NEITHER had been opened! The out of place screws that I had left that way in the HD I opened were in exactly the same position. The FACTORY SEALS were still in place on the other hard drive. Then began a series of requests from me to Mr. Zegarra asking for a WRITTEN description of the work he had done to "diagnose" the two hard drives since neither had been opened. IF all he had done, if anything, was to connect the hard drives to try to read them, I already told him that failed! I sent him emails and text messages requesting a WRITTEN description of the work he allegedly did in 2 days time. He REFUSED to do so. He did call me and tried to give me a verbal explanation, but that was NOT suitable and not what I requested. In the end, Mr. Zegarra got $150 for work that, as far as I can tell, was NEVER done! His failure to provide a written description of work he allegedly did suggests that he did NOTHING and took the money under false pretenses. This failure also told me that he is NOT an honorable person. I agree with Cristofer S. - AVOID this business! Interesting that Mr. Zegarra responds to all the people who had a bad experience with this business "we don't have any record of you ever having visited us. Maybe you have us confused with another company? In case he decides to respond the same way to my review, I am POSITIVE that I dealt with Adrian Zegarra personally. The person who answered the phone was very abrupt and spoke with me very harshly. when he had decided who I was he would not give me the address, and said he could look at my computer for diagnostics in 5 days but i could not make an appointment until I paid him today $85. Today I took my laptop to Geek Squad Shady Grove, Gaithersburg, Unfortunately, they could not fix it claiming they did not have the tools to open it- ( I found that very strange) but they mentioned AZ computer services. After talking to a guy I agreed to take my computer to him. However, when in the phone, I noticed a hurried/rude tone of voice. When I got to the place, this man was nothing but rude. Very hurried, proud and feeling like the VIP. Additionally, while he mentioned the fees he charges never mentioned the additional fees depending on the method of payment. What did made me very uncomfortable was his attitude, very rude and hurried. I declined to used his services. He was very unhappy and said in a rude tone of voice- "Thank you for making me waste my time" got into his car and drove away. I am wondered if his treatment towards to me was because I am a woman. This was my first attempt at finding IT support on Yelp and major fail. The guy showed up, took my laptop and TWELVE days later I got it back, supposedly because he opened it up and broke a wire (why did he need to open it for a virus clean???)...only it's Not My Laptop! I'm not stupid enough to be told I'm wrong. I know the feel of my laptop like most of us know our phones. And when the USB connection doesn't work 'turn it off and back on again' is NOT going to help. After more than a week using this device, I am simultaneously wondering 1) what did he do with mine? 2) how much of my digital personal life has been sold off? 3) should I press charges? And 4) who can I possibly trust to fix my (new to me) machine that now has several glitches? Oh and 5) he told me I needed a new printer cartridge to make my printer work? Nope. Tried the old: take it out, shake it. Put it back. Works fine. Should I sue for the $50 printer cartridge that I bought, too? Please please! I beg you to avoid this place at all cost. Adrian never explained what was wrong with my computer and he was always rude since the moment I took my pc there. He was always on a hurry as if fixing my pc didn't matter. Also, he said that my gpu (3060ti) was broken and proceed to "recycle it"" without even asking me if I wanted to keep it or something. After that, I picked up my pc and when I got home I realized that they forgot to give me my AC power cable which resulted in me going back to their place wasting my time and gas just to get the AC cord back.
