Placed a last (probably after the last) second tshirt order with BaseCamp, and the staff member was willing to put down all the stuff he was doing to with thoughtfully and patiently with me to help me tweak a design that wasn't ready to go to print. After working through those issues, the t-shirts were affordable and available right on time. Strongly recommend them for high levels of expertise and a willingness to go the extra mile. read more

I've been working with Basecamp for close to a decade and last year they started nickel and diming me an extra $20-45 for one day orders... They couldn't explain the calculation and have now lost my business for ever... The greed and they way they treat their amazing staff is unacceptable in our city.... Please DO NOT support this behaviour read more

Great Service! Friendly peeps and great prices. Locally owned business that has been there for many years.

This review is long overdue. I used BaseCamp for business printing services around 2013 or 2014. I wanted to use a local vendor and I'm glad I found this place. The price and service were both great and now that I'm back in DC, I'd use again for sure. read more

We found Basecamp online and so glad we did, our prints for our Save the Dates turned out great and they were so accommodating and responsive to our many questions and multiple samples we had printed to adjust our design! They let us print a sample for $10, which could be applied as a credit when we placed our larger order. Paper quality was great + coloring the best of ~3 other printers we tried (our original Canva print sample was totally uneven and poor paper quality despite upgrading), and the crop of the image was exactly like the digital proof. Their pricing is extremely fair, especially considering the excellent attention and customer service that you miss when ordering prints through large online storefronts. It was so nice to be able to email back and forth with an actual human! We ended up not only ordering our Save the Dates, but our holiday cards and custom stationery and plan to print our wedding invitations here as well. They are QUICK too! After submitting the files and paying our invoice our prints were available for pick up within 2 business days. Thank you BaseCamp for all of your help! Special shoutout to Amanda and Briana for going back and forth with us and ensuring everything turned out just as we hoped. read more

Basecamp has been indispensable these past few years. Since they opened near my old office, they were a go-to for all printing needs. The staff were super responsive, polite and accommodating. Would absolutely recommend them for your printing needs. read more

This place is great. I reached out in need of printing some high-quality photos. They turned around beautiful prints in less than 24 hours. Incredibly responsive via email and a seamless process. Will definitely be back for posters and t-shirts. Great customer service and great value. read more

Awesome place with awesome people - and an adorable shop dog :) Raj was awesome! Helped me get my package ready to ship and saved me money on the shipping costs. Super patient and generous - will definitely come back for all my office & shipping needs! read more

Sort of like going to the post office except the line's not long, there are numerous shipping options, and they'll help you without snarling. I called ahead yesterday to make sure they could accommodate a FedEx priority overnight delivery. The dude that answered the phone said it was all good so long as I had it there by 5:00. I arrived with one envelope and two packages to mail. Ben gave me a couple of recycled boxes to put the packages in, taped them up for me and sent those via ground. Overall, it was an excellent shipping experience. Thanks to Basecamp, I don't have to endure the post office anymore! read more

The team at BaseCamp really cares about their clients. They really aim to please and provide top notch service. I had an issue and they went above and beyond to fixit. They are extreme professionals and I will leave the big guys to go with them. Top quality printers. read more

Base Camp comes through for me e v e r y t i m e. As a real estate agent i always need marketing materials printed but this weeks project was a personal emergency. My son went missing for 6 days. A huge campaign was put together to find him and i needed 200 laminated flyers within a couple hours; its labor intensive to complete the job because each sheet has to be fed to the laminating machine. Soon as i emailed Raj the copy he was on it. My son was found safe that same day :-) this is a special, thorough, affordable - class act business. read more

I had my wedding invitations, place cards and signs all done at basecamp. They are efficient, professional and very reasonably priced. Could not recommend more! read more

Base camp is a step above the regular old print shop. Amazing customer service! Amazing attention to detail. Incredibly professional. Design team is so talented. And the owner Raj really goes the extra mile to help projects get to the finish line! I've been a very satisfied customer for almost 10 years. We have ordered street signs, a frames, brochures, stationary, swag & t-shirts. Don't go anywhere else! read more

I absolutely love these guys and gals. I only use Basecamp exclusively for their package concierge service. When you live in an apartment building that doesn't have a front desk, getting packages delivered can be difficult. I hate the thought of packages sitting on the front steps for anyone to walk by and steal, so I have all of my packages delivered here and pick them up for about $2/pkg (depends on their size, check pricing on their website). You get an e-mail when a package is delivered, and they are open late on weeknights, and even open on Saturday for pickup. VERY convenient! And just so pleasant--the guys help me load big packages into my car, they help unpack big boxes for easy carry, etc. Fantastic niche service, and great customer service! Did I mention I love them? :) read more

Cannot say enough about this place. Go here! Emailed a jpg for a 12x18 high quality stock print. Ready in 5 minutes. $1.50. Other shops quoted me $25-$30 minimum 24 hour turnaround read more

Nine years later, I'm writing another review for Base Camp. Such a terrific neighborhood stop for most office needs. I assemble and mail packages there, use their computers, pick up packages and have special posters made there. It's quick, cheap, and the service is great. Ray still runs things there. He is fabulous. He even hosts neighborhood gatherings as a "thank you" to customers. I will keep returning again and again. Thank you, Raj! read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND The quality is incredible, turnaround is fast, and service is unbeatable. I always order business cards from here, but have recommended friends for a number of other items and they were equally satisfied. Here are some of the awesome above-and-beyond experiences I have had at Base Camp: -They gave feedback on a business card design and offered to make some slight adjustments to ensure it looked great (for free!) -Production for one of my items was running tight (they had a temporary new FedEx driver delivering) and I was about to leave the country. They responded to my (obnoxious) amount of emails, and when they heard the date I was flying out, offered to make backup cards (for free!) just in case the delivery was late. It ended up being on time regardless. I cannot recommend Base Camp enough. They are both a local business and consistently outperform and out-price their chain competitors. read more

Kevin and the whole team were super easy to work with! Great at answering questions and helping us get the final product we wanted.

I've been working with Base Camp for the past couple of months and they are FANTASTIC! I would highly recommend this company if you need quality work that is done quickly and with amazing customer service. One of the things I LOVE about them is that they provide samples of work which allows me to figure out what will work best for me and the turn around time is awesome!! read more

I've used BaseCamp twice now and will continue to use them in the future! They have a great, friendly staff and communicate so well! Highly recommend. read more

I love base camp. They did a phenomenal job printing our wedding invitations. Raj was super nice and accommodating, and their prices were super reasonable! I was worried that printing in the city was going to come with an outrageous price tag, but base camp was the same if not cheaper than most of the online vendors. Will absolutely use again. read more

Great service, turnaround time, and communication. They helped me print something day of! Friendly, helpful employees

I needed shirts screenprinted for a job the same day, out of 10 other businesses I reached out to in the DC area Basecamp were the only ones who responded they could get the job done! Very grateful for Raj and Evan who provided amazing customer service and got the job done! read more

BEST in every way . Thanks you guys . Def will be back and will recommend to everyone .

Base Camp printed postcards for our event. When the shipper lost them and the cards still hadn't arrived by a day before the deadline, Raj saved us heroically! He came in on his day off, printed them again and then delivered them in-person to our event! Thank you so much, Raj! Not only that, but the cards turned out great! We received compliments on them from several of our attendees. I honestly never leave reviews but I was so overwhelmed by Raj and Base Camps's high quality work and incredibly high level of customer service that I had to make an exception. read more

I would agree with Soumik-- this place is incredibly convenient and helpful. As someone who does a lot of online-shopping, and rarely is at home, the fact that Raj & Ben can accept my packages is fantastic. Additionally they are great about recommending ways to ship your package and helping you find the best rate. read more

If you live nearby and you don't use Base Camp, you have a serious problem. Raj and the staff are wonderful and super helpful, the prices are extremely reasonable, and their printing and design work is of excellent quality. I mainly use the parcel service because packages tend to get stolen a lot when they are delivered to my house and placed outside. These guys are true members of the community. They know anyone and everyone and you will see employees all over town. They do a lot of charity work as well and donate a portion of their profits to worthy causes. read more

I appreciate the community feel of Base Camp and agree that they likely deserve many, if not all, of the 5-star reviews they have received. However, even great businesses falter every once in a while: my experience with BaseCamp was pretty ghastly. Although I consulted with Base Camp's graphic design team in order to have them appropriately modify my 8.5x11 file for 4x6 printing, no modifications were made to the file before printing. Furthermore, when I reached out again to alert them of the sizing issue, and to request a printing quote, I was summarily ignored. I was ignored again when I reach out a week later to follow up. Certainly not the type of "neighborliness" they're known for. Unfortunately, despite their glowing reviews, I found Base Camp to be neglectful. I am sure my experience was a fluke, however, because what contact I did have with Raj and his team was extremely positive. read more

I can't explain how great Base Camp was for a large printing order I needed done! I placed my order early Saturday morning and Raj was so helpful and professional over the phone. He went above and beyond to ensure my bleed markers were set properly and the print job would look just as I wanted it to. The job was ready for pick up early Monday morning. I would could go back to them for any print job I would need in the future not jus the cause of the high-quality job but because of Raj going out of his way to make sure everything was taken care of on such short notice. Nestled away in the basement floor of a rowhouse building, Basecamp DC is a great place to make your home post office. They handle all types of shipments: FedEx, USPS, UPS, DHL, etc... so you can get all needs taken care of without having to journey to a specific store. When I visited, there was a very laid back vibe... people were busy doing things but Raj came and helped me out with my package and I was done in a jiffy. There were no lines and it was a simple, painless, transaction. +1 for being a small business trying to make it as well. Judging by everyone else's review, Basecamp seems to be doing the right things. read more

Basecamp DC is awesome and a great store to have in Adams Morgan. I use them primarily for shipping and the sale associates have always been incredibly friendly and helpful. the prices are great, often a bit cheaper than going to an official UPS store or Fedex Office, and they are dog friendly. Our pooch learned really quickly that going here results in him getting a treat and now he can't wait to get through the door. In fact they are so dog friendly they take pictures of local dogs and hang them up on the wall! They provide you with free packing tape if you need to seal up a package for shipment and if you pack everything up at home they always give the package a quick one over to make sure there aren't any problems that will prevent it from reaching its location. When you bring a package for shipment they will let you know whether or not the carrier has picked up for the day, which is nice to know for time sensitive documents. I walk by a few other shipping locations to get to Basecamp and will continue to do so. Skip the major chain shops, Basecamp is convenient, inexpensive and friendly. read more

I nominate Base Camp DC as the best small business in our ward! Raj and his associate Ben cheerfully and economically support neighborhood small businesses, NGOs, us consultants who work at home "in our pajamas," and other neighbors who don't live in a building with a concierge to accept packages and help with those office extras such as faxing, printing, and more. Meet the neighborly group of folks who stop in to go online at the bank of computers; they may include delivery workers picking up and delivering from UPS, DHL, FedEx, etc, other Nepalese, or other immigrants. I have met them and others at the neighborhood bbqs Raj generously hosts to promote community and networking among his varied customers. 1929 18th St. NW [basement] 202 387 8831 http://basecampdc.com/ read more

There is a REASON why they are 5 stars to everyone. Their customer service is awesome! Just hands down amazing. Everyone remembers your name and your story there. I got resumes printed there for an interview and a week later two of the staff members asked me how it went! Raj (the owner) remembers everyone's name and is so humble and gracious. They really treat you like family there, no matter what your needs are. In addition everything is very well priced. Honestly I leave with a smile on my face every time I walk in there. I HIGHLY suggest them. read more

For anyone who is tired of missing FedEx deliveries and having to take a half day off of work just to make sure you get your packages...BaseCamp is a godsend. They charge $2 per package and hold it (for many days sometimes) until you pick it up from them...I think the price is more than fair for the hassle it saves me of having to be home when a package is coming. Furthermore, Raj (owner) and Ben are awesome and throw bbqs for their customer base often. The two of them always make Basecamp a great experience and a must-recommend for other people living in the neighborhood. read more

Service is efficient, smooth, and extremely friendly. Also, they have PICTURES OF PUPPIES. You read that right. Above the counter are photos of neighborhood dogs, framed and ready for your viewing pleasure. This really speaks to the character of the place. They make an effort to be part of the neighborhood and get to know their customers. And they're just fun people. I also got a recommendation for a fab coffee shop up the street (Tryst). Without a doubt, I will be using Basecamp for all my shipping needs. read more

I've gotten custom birthday party shirts here for three years in a row. One year I totally forgot and needed a really fast turn around (a week and change) they gracefully accommodated me and my wild requests!! I think the only con I can think of is parking is a pain to pick up the shirts but thats really just DC. Overall, this company is fast, responsive, and patient. These guys are AWESOME. I'm fairly new to town, and as someone who prints high quality graphics often, I knew I needed to find my new go-to printing place. These guys have met and exceeded my expectations. The first time I used their services, I emailed to ask whether they could do my job within a couple of hours, and before they even opened, I had heard from them. Yes, they're THAT awesome. Their prices are more than fair, they have been very accommodating with deadlines, and the quality of their work is impeccable. It doesn't hurt that they are so nice, and remembered me from the beginning! Now I am a frequent customer there- I won't go elsewhere. They also have graphic design services, and even though I haven't used them, I would bet they are good. Stop researching for a good printing/graphics/shipping place. GO HERE.
