Digital Recollections does outstanding work and the service is incomparable. We were extremely fortunate to find Rick out there when it almost seemed hopeless to do locally what we needed done. He is doing work for which there is still heavy demand but very few seem willing to do it at a reasonable price unless it's a huge job with a sizeable bill. Our nonprofit organization has approximately a hundred CDs that we need labeled and duplicated every three months. The turnaround time is practically overnight and the quality is impeccable. In completing the last job we took to him, I was running late to pick it up at the end of the day. I eventually decided that I needed to wait until the next morning to go but, if I hadn't, he would have waited for as long as necessary for me to get there. It's truly ironic that this operation doing digital work is really like no other in this the digital age. Rick and his assistant at Digital Recollections did a fabulous job of digitizing thousands of our photos, representing memories from 20 years in the foreign service during tours in Asia, Africa and Europe. Our photos are now so easy to retrieve and enjoy (and post for TBT!). He also digitized our 29 year-old wedding video that was on a VHS tape. We had been worrying about this project for years and were so pleased we were able to finally discard boxes and boxes of photos and negatives and save images that were slowly deteriorating. We spent time organizing our photos chronologically, so Rick's job was easier but honestly for extra cost he will also take a huge jumble or mess of all kinds of media and digitize it in whatever order you choose. Wow, not only was Rick very pleasant, he was also very responsive to my request. I tried another video editing company and was quite disappointed. Rick and his team at Digital Recollections just completed a large job for me that exceeded expectations. For years I didn't know what might even be possible. My father was an artist who died far too young. A large box came out of my mother's house and sat in my basement for 19 years. When I learned about DR I went through that box organizing documents, photos, some of my dad's work. Rick had it all digitized and created a perfect slideshow. They also digitized slides taken early in our marriage and home videos, all at a fair price. I have everything on a hard drive, a thumb drive, and best of all, can even view them on a large TV. DIGITAL RECOLLECTIONS DID A FANTASTIC JOB and at a very reasonable price. Going to do our wedding video next. I'd been meaning to convert all our old Hi8 videocassettes of our kids' growing from newborns to teenagers. It was just a matter of getting the right equipment (after figuring out exactly what that equipment should be) and then finding the time and sticking to it all the way through the whole process with all the tapes... and that never happened. I heard great things about Digital Recollections, so I brought the tapes to them. I've now got all those memories on DVDs and also on a USB thumbdrive, the content of which I can upload to the cloud, and that will be easier to convert to the next technology when it comes along than it is to convert these old tapes. read more

After keeping 30+ Kodak carrousels filled with 35mm slides for years, I decided to digitize my entire collection and discovered Rick Reinsch at Digital Recollections. Rick did everything, from helping carry the boxes into his office to working with me in salvaging slides and digitizing the keepers. When he was done, he sent me the complete set and advised me to winnow them one more time before he produced the final package. I was so pleased with Rick's work that I gave him a pile of DVDs of all my old family videos to digitize. I got all the content, slides & videos, back on an external hard drive, which Rick then coached me through to transfer to my laptop. I was looking for a local place to have my old vhs and camcorder videos transferred to dvds. I didn't want to take them to a Walgreens or CVS which send them out to a provider. Plus it takes them weeks to be processed. So I was delighted to find Digital Recollections. Rick did a fantastic job, even uploaded them to Dropbox so no need for a DVD player. Digital Recollections converted family print photos from the 1960s - 1980s to digital pictures. I was hoping to get them converted so I could preserve the memories. Not only did they preserve them, the restored them! Pictures that had faded and lost their color have been restored to full color. They are no longer faded, dim memories. Rick and his team did a wonderful job on the digitization of our super8 and 8mm reels. The final product was better than we expected. Rick added period-appropriate music and labeled different sections of the "movie". I was very wary of sending stuff off to an unknown company and felt much better dropping off our precious memories to real people. I have been using Digital Recollections for all of my duplication needs for the past 5 years, and also had them transfer all of my old slides and old photos onto DVD. Great service. Needed to convert old 8mm films my dad made 45 years ago into a digital format. Not many do this kind of services, or at least I could not find many. Digital Recollections did it for me very well and within a reasonable time frame (obviously this is not something one could do quickly; and in any case, quality is more important). Digital Recollections has done great work for our clients for CD and DVD duplication and printing. I haven't personally used them for custom framing, but have seen their work in the shop and it looks great too. Definitely give them a call for your photos and video tapes to DVD conversions and archiving too. They definitely have a wide scope of multimedia capabilities. read more
