Great pizza. Quick service even when there is a long order. We always call ahead and order has always been ready.

For an area that serves up some consistently average pizza in general, Bartolo's stands out to me as above average. I live in Hershey, but will drive to Palmyra as this is the best I've found yet. Yes, I am very picky about my pizza but I don't understand why people settle for average. Anyway...as previous posters have mentioned, the sauce is unique, and sweet-and if you like sweet, it's very good! The most important part of a pizza for me though is its crust. A great pizza has pastry like crust that almost makes me want to eat it sans the sauce and the cheese. Bartolo's doesn't get huge marks for its crust as its not crispy or flaky enough for me. Again, though it is DEFINITELY better than the rest as it's lighter than its competitors and certainly not a bad crust. Last, I'll say Bartolo's seems to lay off the grease-fest which I've found at many other pizza establishments in the area. Anyway, if I could give it a 3.5 I would, but I'll stick at a 3 which is very good for around here! Oh, and I've never had any issues with the staff at Bartolo's. read more

Ignore any negative reviews- this is hands down the best pizza you'll find in central PA! There are at least 6 pizza places closer to our house and yet we choose to drive out of our way to get Bartolo's. Love! read more

This is without a doubt the only pizza place to go! Their food is amazing! I've bought their bread as an add on because it's so good. I'm not a red sauce person, but their red sauce is AMAZING! They always get your order right, and always act like they appreciate your business. I've been eating here since they opened, but since I moved to baltimore in 2012, I've never found a comparable place, and make a point to eat here every time i'm back home. I have eaten here or gotten takeout at least 20 times. As far as the service goes it has ranged from indifferent to pleasant, but the pizza is simply the best in the area. I'm not sure why, but the sauce is awesome. Also, I'm not a huge sicilian pizza fan, but Bartolo's is tremendous. The crust isn't too thick like most places. I can't vouch for the sandwiches or other items, but try the pizza. read more

But you will be surprised by the quality of this pizza in a sleepy little town near Hershey! I agree with others - the service will not wow you. Great pizza and friendly service. We particularly enjoy the white pizza. The stromboli is good, filled all the way to the ends with meat and cheese with the sauce on the side. They make a delicious Italian salad and the bread is delicious. The cheeseburger and cheesesteak subs (with or without sauce) are good. I really liked their pizza and I witnessed what appeared to be a delicious cheesesteak, but cannot confirm. The pizza sauce was worthy of mention as was the crust. Do not bother with the onion rings as they're nothing but store bought Ore Ida at best. Long and short is that if you're already at or around Hershey park stop in Bartolos for a decent cheese slice. One of the best places for pizza in the area. The pizza is definitely better than the subs. The guys have been making pizza for decades and used to have a shop in Lititz and moved 30 minutes to Palmyra. They still get customers driving from Lititz just to get their pizza. 4 mins away from my hotel where I was staying. Great location, fast service. Friendly. Busy which is a good sign showing people enjoy their food. I ordered a medium pepperoni mushroom pizza and it was really good. I just wish they had their menu a little bit clearer on the website. My pizza plus a water bottle was $17. The pizza alone was $11 and some change. Not terrible but I also should have asked for a receipt. The menu did not have any small sized pizzas, just medium and large. Always great. I have been buying food from Bartolos for over 25 years and today was the last day of them getting my business. I called in after picking up my order and complained they forgot to put the cheese on my sub and gave it on the side, I asked why didn't you just remake it, now I have to take the whole sub apart to put the cheese on, the owners reply was I am not going to do anything about that sorry and hung up on me. It was the pizza place ever since I was little. However in later 2014 for some reason, the sauce had changed. It was most loving and sweetest sauce ever/ Today it is more standard/watered down and sometimes the pizza is not done properly. This was a five. It is still not the worst. I have been eating Bartolo's pizza since they ran the Romas pizza in Lititz, PA. (1990/91ish) BEST PIZZA EVER! My family & I would travel the 45 minute,or so, from Lancaster to Palmyra for a large with extra cheese and extra sauce....we'd eat it with a knife & fork and clean up every last bit. I now live in VA and my kids live in NE & FL and we all miss the Bartolo family and their fantastic pizza! If they would ship me the sauce I would be in HEAVEN. read more
