Every time we go to Phoenix we get Barros the pizza is amazing and the wings are good too. Don't forget the Blue cheese

By far the best pizza in this immediate area! We've had some MINOR issues with customer service and order accuracy issues. But those were early on in their first couple of months and since they have been great. Many of these negative reviews came from when they first opened and from people that are losing their heads based on one experience. Breathe. It's not the end of the world. Try discussing it with management and giving them a chance to make it right. read more

The pizza is amazing and the salad bar is fresh. The lunch specials that include salad and pizza are a great deal. For us, the salad portion was more than enough for two to share and the pizza slices are good sized as well. The Kona pizza was great, would definitely get that again. The club sandwich was perfectly toasted and delicious as well. This is definitely the best pizza we have in the Valley....at least so far. read more

This location is horrible. I don't know if it's new management but don't blame the pandemic. All you have to do is tell me when my pizza will be ready. If it's 2 hours then fine I will see you in 2 hours. Don't tell me that it will be ready in 20-30 minutes and then make me stand there for another 45 minutes when I get there. read more

Newest Barros in our area. The restaurant is very clean. The employees are nice too. Always have great hot slices. For 2 slices of pizza and a drink you pay under 5 bucks! They also have the best ranch dressing ever. read more

Just opened and still rough around the edges so I will give 4 stars despite needed some major work on service and attention to detail.

I ordered this cheese pizza last friday and didn't even know until I open at home. It came out with dirty rusty crumbs which will I can't eat my two kiddos say what this black thing is for. Even worse thing happened was I ordered 20min. before I went there but actually I waited for another 20 more min. It looks like they did not even start to bake. It wasn't good at the first time and this is 2nd time which was worse than that. Better go to Costco so that I can eat happily. read more

Okay, first I will say they have awesome lunch specials. Super cheap and a lot of food. The salad bar is great with a lot of options. This place seems to have a Chicago theme going on, however, this is not anything like Chicago pizza. The pizza isn't bad, just not that good. I prefer thinner crust with less cheese. I would say this pizza in along the lines of little ceasers or Pizza Hut. However, it is still is a great deal and not bad. read more

We ordered out 1st Barro's Pizza a few days ago. Ordered from their app & specified well done. They gave us the most raw pizza we've ever had. They had a feedback section on their app which asked if we wanted to be contacted & we said yes. No one called. My feeling was they don't care. I have seven kids we spend a few hundred dollars a month at Barros Pizza always take out. I have always seen the salad bar but never had time to get it. I love salad bars especially at a pizza joint. Well finally I was able to go and get that delicious looking salad bar. Needless to say I didn't get the salad bar because they wanted $7 and change for a large bowl that you could only fill once...wow. Ordered on line, everything went very smooth using the Barro's app. The medium pizza on original crust was hot and delicious, very generous with the toppings and the driver got to our house in 30 minutes. Highly recommend Barro's Pizza, very satisfied. read more

I get a response back on my last review saying you can split flavors on an order of wings so I thought would try one more time. Again, I received a "we're not allowed to split flavors" response. The staff definitely wasn't informed so we called Times Square which said "absolutely! On any size order of wings." None of your staff has ever been rude. Actually, they are very polite. Just not informed and seem afraid to ask management. Not a good sign. My son's first job was making wings at Il Primo. He said it makes no difference if the customer wants four wings in one flavor and eight in another. You just have to be able to count. He was always told "take care of the customer". Too bad. I was a customer at your very first location when it opened. Apparently, times have changed. read more

Pizza is always the best ,but the other night we were a little upset. After we ordered our pizza we watched one of the workers cleaning the baseboards with a cloth and cleaner. However, she wasn't wearing gloves and when our food was done she picked it up and brought it to us with her Hands that were just cleaning. Not good practice. She wore no gloves the whole time and did not wash her hands. Whoever is in charge needs to inform the workers of good sanitizing practice. read more

I have been going to this Barro's Pizza about twice a month for the last year or so. We usually take our grandkids there on a Saturday night and order a small pizza, a large spaghetti and four drinks. On three different occasions, they brought out the spaghetti in a timely manner but then forgot the pizza. the last time this happened was about 3 weeks ago. After waiting for about 30 minutes, I went up to the cashier and asked about our pizza. She and her two friends were talking happily behind the counter. She said she would check. I went back to my table. After a few minutes, she came to our table and said, "They're putting it in the oven now. Is that okay?" I told her politely that I didn't think that was okay. But she had already turned to walk away. After another ten minutes, I went up to the cashier and asked if there was a manager who I could talk to. Maura came out to talk to me. I explained what had happened......for the third time....and she apologized and said they were short on staff. I remarked that customers who had come after us had been served. She had no answer. I asked for a refund and she quickly refunded me the amount. I mentioned that I thought this was a systemic problem as no one was checking on orders after a portion of the order was delivered. But my table number sign was still on our table. It would seem to me that maybe the cashier who took my order could follow up on all her orders to make sure that it was completed instead of talking with her associates behind the counter. I sent in a comment to the management of Barro's Pizza on Dove Valley Road but as of this date, I have not received a reply. Very poor customer service and poor management. I hope they can resolve this problem. read more

I dined in and the pizza arrived in a timely fashion, the girls were polite and there were no issues. The pizza is just average though. I got the thin crust which is still a hand tossed dough and not thin and crispy as I usually expect thin to be. Pizza is definitely a preference thing depending on where you grew up so if you're from IL this is probably not the place for you. Edit: bumping it up a star as it turns out if you reheat it in the oven with a non-stick spray on the pan it actually makes the crust much crispier. read more

First, we've been ordering here since they opened over a year or so ago. Have to say, Hits and Misses. Last night's pizza was really a MISS. When I ordered the medium with half cheese and the other with sausage and thin crust, the young lady said 25 minutes. OK, it was Friday and it took me 15 minutes to get there and I purposefully waited another 10 minutes before I even got out of the car. There were a lot of people picking up and when I got up to the counter they said "a few more minutes", so I said fine. After several minutes and boxes had been brought out, I walked back up to the counter, but mine still wasn't ready. After another 5 minutes the server nodded to me. When I got home we were very disappointed: the crust was limp and gummy, the cheese was in clumps and the sauce was thin and runny. It wasn't completely DONE! I think that will be our last time going to Barro's on Dove Valley and that is a shame. Obviously there was nobody in charge last night and quality control was absent. Bill T. We had a very nice conversation and I related a couple of experiences that had also happened previously to the one on 12/13. He apologized and said he'd love to keep me as a customer and offered a free pizza or a credit for the inconvenience. I thanked him and said that was not necessary. I told him that I would return but reiterated that if this happened again I'd be going back to Streets of New York. All I ask is for their pizzas to be good and consistently so. Bill T. Over the years we've been to a lot of Barro's stores. This one on Dove Valley is by far the best. The pizza is great! Had their wings tonight and they are better than the expensive wing places. The workers are very friendly and efficient. I can't say enough about this location!!! read more

I really love the lunch specials here, but the last several times I attempted to eat here has been disappointing. You would think that at 11 Am a lot of people are taking lunch breaks so they would be ready and have several pizza's waiting. I was told they would be out in a few minutes which turns into 10-15 minutes later. I work at a big company nearby and a lot of employees love to eat here. I love to eat here too but just can't handle the wait time when you are on a short lunch break and trying to slam your meal to get back to work on time. They ruined my Friday night. I called in an order last night for pick up. Was quoted 25-30 mins. I left my house after 30 mins (since it was a Friday night). Once i was there i waited 45 mins longer. When i walked in a family of for walked just in front of me. During my wait they ordered, sat down, ate and left. While i waited my wings were brought out after 20 mins of waiting. They sat there for the next 25 mins on the counter waiting for my pies. I was going to complain, but figured they would just microwave them anyway. I was told two more minutes multiple times without one of the four young high schoolers even bothering to check, nor did the even show any form of care. Once home, the pies were luke warm, the wings were cold and most were under cooked. I attempted to reheat the wings. After an hour of finishing dinner i became violently ill. I spent the next several hours hugging a toilet. Perhaps this place would benefit from some form of adult leadership?!? Save your self the agony. Unless you need to drop weight fast! Its a shame that this local joint cant even put out a pie the equal to the hot and ready chain. Disappointed to say the least. read more

Great place to pick up a slice for lunch under $5 for slice salad and soda. I dined in on Saturday afternoon and the first thing I noticed was how nice the staff were. Every person working this day smiled and double checked we had everything we needed. Dining is relaxed with no frills but the staff were constantly keeping busy and cleaning counters. Waited almost an hour for a sandwich on a Wednesday night. Then the sandwich I got was the wrong one and only had bread and meat/ cheese. Now I've waited another 15 mins for the correct sandwich. Not even busy here tonight. Watched a few customers who came in a half hour after me get their food. Food might be good but I don't know I still waiting for my food. The LA Dodgers will loose the World Series before I eat. I guess it's rays pizza next time. read more
