Run down, black mold and water leaks in the unit. Other facilities like the pool are struggling.

We have been coming here the last 10 yrs or so. We trade through RCI. The complex has "been renovating for All those years" Granted we only pay between 300 and 800 using our timeshare.............But this stay has been the worst ever! We booked 3 months ago.............For May 3rd thru 10th. Weather has been great 1. Outdoor pool being renovated..............As in you cannot use, workers are rude and It is a big deal when you have small children and after a morning at the beach, they want to be at the pool. NO NOTICE WAS GIVEN AT ANY TIME DURING OUR BOOKING OR AFTER TO SAY " OH BY THE WAY THE OUTDOOR POOL IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND HAS BEEN FOR 4 MONTHS AND ONE OF OUR BIGGEST AMENITIES THAT IS NOT AVAILABLE. I inquired with girl at front desk upon arrival. " Sorry I cannot do anything about that now" And Barrier Island wonders why they have 2.5 star reviews!!!! 2. NON-EXISTENCE WIFI SERVICE: ONE OF OUR OTHER BIGGEST AMENITIES IS NOT WORKING EITHER.................. I have called repeatedly and ask for someone to look at our unit or bring an wifi enhancer/extender. NO RESPONSE FROM FRONT DESK, I have left messages every day. Guess they are BUSY, fielding other complaints, I am sure! 3. If you are going to have advertise a partial Kitchen. Have the basics, wine opener, cutting board and colander and a updated skillet where the cord is not loose and connection is iffY!! ( somebody say Fire Hazzard!!) I cannot sing the praises of Taylor at Barrier Island enough! My husband suffered a spinal cord injury four months ago, and we had planned our first family vacation with the entire family this June. We were concerned, we would not be able to go and have accommodations in the handicap unit. Taylor patiently worked to ensure that she could accommodate our reservation in a creative way. I am eternally grateful because now the facility also has a Hoyer for the pool and a really nice ramp down to the beach. Highly recommend staying here! read more

The fully renovated units are beautiful! The partially renovated units are decent. The unrenovated ones are clean but sooooo dated. We had a partially renovated and overall enjoyed it. Great location to beach and downtown Duck. Taylor at the front desk is a sweetheart and will do what she can to help. read more

How did we like our stay, we had fun. After we settled down and did our room inspections. Carpet is very old, the shower caulking is cheaply designed. We were offered online to have an ocean view but when we arrived we were told they do not have rooms available with ocean view. Our credit card was charged before we arrived. This is the worst place I've ever stayed, will not be coming back. Debated on leaving but didn't want to have carry everything back down! On our first night after driving all day we had to climb up 3 flights of stairs with all of our luggage, they have no elevators, you practically get attacked by bugs when you try and walk in the door, then you have to hurry up and jet out the door bc every time you go in and out the door an army of bugs comes in, from being here 2 days we've already killed around 100+ bugs in our unit!!! the rooms haven't been updated since the 80's...the beds are like metal racks! We actually had to buy a mattress topper... This place is pathetic! The pool is really pretty , unfortunately the bugs that are swarming outside your doors are dead in the pool as well!!! read more

This is our first time here. We love Duck, NC. My husband and I exchanged a week at Barrier Island. We have a one bedroom, with 1/2 kitchen. Units 500 (furthest from the beach) We are not huge fans of microwaves, but the unit was equiped with one and an electric skillet, 2 burner heat plate, toaster, pots, pans and enough dishes for two!! It was a pleasant surprise. We eat in a lot. There are also several bbqs outside each housing unit. The couch could use updating, and a new bathroom floor. But it worked perfect for us. The beach is amazing and that's what we came for. There is a lot of wild life and resident kitty's. We would come here again. It's quiet, safe, and very close to the beach. Oh they have 2 pools one indoor and one big pool outdoors. They have activities as well. We did not used them. read more

They canceled our reservation and didn't inform us! We had a confirmation number! We are retired military and booked through a military site. We called to ask a question the day before our arrival and found out then that our CONFIRMED reservation had been canceled! We think it was because they could get a higher room rate by not honoring our military reservation. Beware of this resort! Way to support our troops! Not! read more

I first came here in 1987 and loved it so much I bought a timeshare. Nearly 30 years later; same carpets, same furniture, same appliances. This once jewel on the beach has become a tired and run down sad caricature of a beach resort. I see some buildings have gotten a facelift with new stairs and siding, so perhaps the management is at long last spending the annual maintenance fees they charge each owner. This resort is long past due for a refresh. The spiders are numerous, the windows are cruddy, the plumbing is louder than the ceiling fans, but not as loud as the upstairs neighbors. Barrier Island Station is a "former" premier property with a great location. They seem to think location is enough to keep people coming back. I came back, and it's just sad to see how the years of neglect have taken their toll on this once beautiful property. Just pathetic. The worst sin I can tell you about is the poor housekeeping. There are dead bugs on every window, dead bugs on every outdoor light fixture, and lots of dead bugs on the carpet behind the couch. UGH! We had to buy a shower curtain, towels, and sheets because the linens provided were industrial quality - think prison linens. The shower curtain was moldy and thin. The towels are OK, but once we saw how the place was cleaned, we decided to use our own towels as well. Wait a few years for them to update these condos before booking your vacation. read more

We stayed at BIS via a timeshare exchange. Not much has changed since our last stay. Yes, furnishings are dated. Yes, our coffee maker needed to be replaced the first morning on site. And, yes, the front right burner on our stove didn't work, but, the three other burners did. So, what am I saying? Despite the shortcomings, our unit was reasonably clean and comfortable. And, the TV's and washer and dryer were updated. Check in staff was courteous and thorough. The beach was fantastic although I went after 5 most days. Yes, I've read the reviews telling folks to stay away. You can, but, you'll be missing out on a diamond in the rough. A Sleep Inn opposed to a JW Marriott. When checking in, I noticed some story boards highlighting some changes that may be in the future. Could it be fractional ownership? It could work if fees are reasonable. Privately owned BIS condo fees run up to around $1,000 per month but also include some stuff like tv, Internet, flood insurance and the like. I've seen quarter shares,as in 13 week ownership PLUS annual maintenance fees for EACH WEEK!No way, ever, would I fall for that. Instant bankruptcy, lol. BIS, if they're like most timeshare associations face maintenance fee delinquency rates of about 50% of owners. Not good. One I belong to is dissolving and selling units outright, starting with mine, so, I'm done there. Sad. Perhaps folks with vision and consumer value in mind, while making a decent profit, of course, can turn these properties into gold again. Recommend. read more

Very nice resort in the quaint town of Duck. The good: Very spacious units with full kitchen which was stocked well in our unit. Two bathrooms with a jetted or jacuzzi tub off of the master bedroom upstairs and a full bathroom with shower down. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was super convenient! ( Make sure to run dryer during the day as it does heat up the bedroom making it warmer for sleeping) Our balcony faced the ocean and the outdoor pool which was a nice view. The resort has daily activities but I think my favorite was the movie night by the pool. The snack shack located near the beach was also a nice touch. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. The not so good: There are A LOT of stairs!! If you are unfortunate enough to land a top floor unit you will despise the stairs. Having to lug all of your stuff up those stairs will not be pleasant. If you are traveling with anyone with a physical disability I don't think this is the place for you which also brings me to my next point... the trek to the beach. It was quite the walk to get to the beach from our unit. We didn't want to pay to rent beach chairs so we brought our own but this meant having to carry chairs, towels, cooler, beach bags, umbrellas and anything else down those stairs all the way around the pool more stairs then around the snack shack then down more stairs to finally hit the beach. It was 100 degrees and so humid in July that we were worn out by the time we got to the beach. The trek back was worse due to the climbing of the dreaded stairs to our unit! We decided to load the car and drive to the beach the next day but since everyone else had the same idea parking was at a premium. If you couldn't tell by now.. I hated the stairs. The units were nice but a little outdated. Not enough to bother me but worth the mention. There are two pull out couches and there are some extra bedding but I would suggest bringing some of your own. The blankets were not the nicest. The jacuzzi tub upstairs in our unit never worked. Management was notified but nothing was done to fix it and we never got offered a discount. We really didn't fight for it either. Water pressure in the shower was almost non existent. Look.. we made the most of our stay and made jokes about the stairs and getting in our steps and exercise. We had some great experiences and now have some great memories even though the stairs will be a legend for generations to come:) It's not all bad and it's not all good but maybe ask for a first level unit. We personally would not stay here again but there are folks who vacation here a lot and swear by it. read more

This was a nightmare of a resort. When we arrived, we could not get into our room because the doors and sides of the condos were covered in bugs, spiders, and spider webs. My children instantly started to cry because it was so disgusting. Maintenance was able to power wash some of them away, but the least they could have done was sweep them away every morning...instead there were piles of dead bugs all over the deck and corners of the outside space. We couldn't use the patio table because that was covered in bugs, too. Once we got into the room, we quickly learned that the bugs were inside as well. Not only that, the rooms were so outdated, reeked of sewage, and the sinks, bathroom fixtures, tubs, and toilets were falling apart. Rust and grime covered the fixtures, there were stains on the sheets and carpets, and the furniture was old, ratty, and musty. In the middle of our stay, we were told that we had to pack up and move into a different condo because it was a timeshare resort and the owners were coming. We were moved to the exact same kind of unit a few doors down...so why we had to move was beyond me considering the guests or owners could have had the same space. They told us we had until 1 pm to do this, which we accommodated for them in the middle of a beautiful beach day. Upon check out, we were an hour late getting out, and the manager angrily called us and was so rude for no reason. Despite our complaints of the disgusting condo and property, she lacked no empathy, concern, or even made an attempt to remedy the situation. She even sent one of her employees to our condo to harass us to get out. She could obviously see we were packing up our stuff and two small children, but was so rude that my son started to cry. When we dropped our keys off at the front entrance, the manager basically told us that she'd refund the late check out fee for us and that was it. It was a terrible experience, and if you booked this place, please try to get a refund and stay somewhere else. If you are thinking about booking this place....stay as far away from it as possible. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The rooms are extremely outdated. Everything in the place is at least 10 years old. The sofa had visible signs of mold, the vents were blacked out with mold, the A/C did not work and the walls we dirty from years of no one cleaning them. Once my family saw all of that we went back to get a refund as it is an unacceptable place to stay. They refused to give me a full refund and still made me pay for 1 day even though we were in the unit for literally 10 minutes just viewing the horrible living conditions. There excuse was it was recently purchased 6 years ago and I did not know the history of the place. Is it me or is the expectations of staying somewhere is to relax not end up in the doctors from taking in mold for several days. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

I was there for a week in November and I agree with the comments already posted- the location is beautiful but the accommodations are terribly worn and outdated. I will add that the staff was not friendly and very non-responsive, with the exception of the maintenance worker. I sent written feedback to the management using the form provided and listed my address, email and phone. I received no response at all. I never give reviews, however, I have been to OBX 5 times so now might be a good time. This is a resort...i prefer to rent an oceanfront house. My gf rented this place without my knowledge as a surprise. The good: Indoor pool and rec. Small but useable. Pool table, ping pong, arcade, very small rec room. Plenty of outdoor seating and outdoor pool was clean. Nice access to beach with umbrellas and chairs for rent. Plenty of parking and close to everything that's great about OBX. 4X4 beach is 20 minutes North. Buy the beach parking, 10 days for $50. See the wild horses! This place has stove, fridge, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, dishes and silverware, knives and a blender. The bad: We rented 118, it is severely outdated. Far enough from beach to drive to onsite beach access.... WORST was dirty underware in "fresh bed" They comped us with $100 off, free 1 day stay (couldn't use), a fresh sheet and empty salt and pepper shakers....yup, you read that right. Moving on.... it seems there is no pest control. I love spiders, my gf does not. She was freaked by the small and large spiders. I hate to write a bad review because the area is so beautiful but if you're looking for a nice place to stay, I would stay elsewhere. We stayed at Barrier Island Station for Christmas and the place was pretty empty for the most part. The condos are very outdated and the furniture/decor just have a dirty look to them. You can tell that everything is very old and has not been replaced in quite a while. The walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbors conversations. I am sure that there are much better options for places to stay so I would keep looking... read more

HORRIBLE!! DO NOT STAY HERE!! We were told that this would be a 2 bedroom unit but we were given two 1 bedroom units and told that was the same. This is obviously an issue when travelling with 2 children under three years old. The rooms were dirty and gross. The shower liner had black mold on it and every room had bugs crawling around. The A/C unit worked but rattled constantly so they "fixed" it by duct taping the door of it shut?! The dishwasher didn't open or shut properly so when we wanted to use it we had to call maintenance for them to come out and fix it long enough for us to load it and then came back to open it so we could load it. These issues were brought up and management admitted they weren't going to fix anything because they were considering selling the property! read more

I acquired a week here last August through an RCI exchange. The resort is showing it's age, but it more than makes up for it because it is loca ted in the town of Duck, one of the nicer and quieter areas in OBX. Unfortunately for us, Hurricane Irene interrupted our vacation midweek and chased us all the way back home. Nevertheless, my family enjoyed the relatively empty and serene beach here. By renting the beach chairs and umbrella for the week, we got to reserve/enjoy prime beach real estate every day (at least the time we were there), which is what OBX is all about. read more

Where to begin? Our air conditioning went out on the 2nd day of the trip. We reported the outage and went to dinner. We arrived from dinner to a horrible burning smell which we could detect from the parking lot. Upon entering the unit we saw smoke and the smell was making us nauseous. We called maintenance again and they arrived around 11:00 pm. They decided we couldn't stay there and moved us to a unit across the street. We packed all of our things and moved at midnight. The next day we had to wash everything including blankets and pillows to get the smell out. Cut to Saturday morning when we were told we had an hour to get out of the unit and should have moved back to our original unit. We were never told to move back and did not have the keys to the original unit anymore. So we packed again and they brought the key to us. The original unit had the windows open the entire week and was 90 degrees. We decided to leave a day early and cut our losses. There was a complete lack of empathy and I was told I was yelling at them. Be aware that when you stay here you will get no customer service and a really old unit that in no way meets RCI standards. Our original unit had holes in the sofa and the world's smallest kitchen. What a disaster. read more

I booked this resort through an RCI exchange. Biggest mistake I could have made. The rooms are filthy, outdated, and unsafe. The carpet bunches so bad in areas that my kids were constantly tripping. The mattresses on the beds were so uncomfortable that it felt like sleeping on plywood. Both my husband and myself were miserable trying to sleep. We ended up going to WalMart and purchasing a $100 topper just to manage. We had to lug groceries up 5 sets of stairs, even though we had our elderly grandmother with us. The front desk staff was not helpful and not apologetic to any of our concerns. The kitchen was missing items that we had to request twice just to receive replacements. The pullout sofa won't even pullout because of where they placed it in relationship to the tv stand. I will never stay here again and I warn others not to either. read more

First, like to say, we came here on Time Share stay. Booked on line. Said handicapped accessible. Got there, and they said only four handicapped rooms and all full. They did move us to 1st floor, but spiral staircase going down into unit was not doable. I explained this to front desk, who was actually Security who was checking guests in and he had NO CLUE! They had us wait for 2 hours, while he checked others in ahead of us. In the end, he was not willing to offer us anything. Had to spend another hour trying to find another place to stay. Also, the interior of the Timeshare room was a DUMP! Charged my Credit Card for cleaning the room that we did not even stay in. Said it was on the water on the ad. Not really true. It is in between the bay and ocean. I would NOT recommend staying here. read more

My wife and I stayed here in October for our honeymoon and loved the location. The view from our room was amazing since we were almost on the beach but being know the top floor made it easy to catch the sunrise. A little bit of modernization of the room would be nice but it was sufficient. read more

I hate to give bad reviews but I don't know what eles to do due to the disappointment. We got a 1 bedroom, partial kitchen, it has no stove top very strange. So tiny and outdated. Cusomer service here seriously lacks everytime I call they can't help me. I did NOT want to stay here but it's spring break and everything is booked. They lost many points with me, one point they gained back is free wi-fi! They don't have any of the normal amenties you would expect, lost major points for a timeshare rental we will not be back. This may sound trival but they don't even have wine glasses. I wish I was staying at the four seasons around the corner. Overall the town is major cute so hopefully I won't have to stay in the room much. read more

We just came back from a week vacation at this place. We had a 1 bedroom in the 500 building. Building area was clean and nice. The inside was OK however I was a little disappointed when I found out that we had a portable electric 2 burner stove to cook and my understanding when I called the front desk several weeks before our vacation that we had a real fix partial kitchen with 2 electric burners with real space to cook but that wasnt the case. We we're also told that we had an apartment size refrigerator but discovered that we only have the small personal refrigerator. All these minor miscommunication changed our plans a little bit but did not stop us from enjoying our vacation. As for the complex and the area around us, it was nice and very comfortable to walk around and enjoy the view, walking distance to both indoor and outdoor pool as well as to the beach. The kids loved the pool where its 3 feet from both ends and 7 feet in the middle under the make-shift wooden bridge. The pool is also open from 9am to 11pm which makes it more available and accessible. I think this place has a lot to offer if you don't expect too much like a 5 star hotel. We originally planned to come here to enjoy the outdoor such as the beach, pool and around the area and this place was great. I do see some of the units that needs some remodeling and I don't know what the 2 or 3 bedroom has to offer and just basing my reviews from our recent stay. Overall, this place was great and I would come back if I can book a 2 bedroom place (not on a third floor unit) and enjoy the Duck, NC area again! read more

I am giving this property a 3 because of the location, view and great deal we got for our 3 bedroom unit. We stayed in unit 301 for 2 nights, and we were worried because of all the reviews but our stay cost less than 1 regular hotel during peak season, and with 6 in our family we end up having to rent 2 rooms every night that way. The good things are that the staff was friendly, the view of the ocean was wonderful from our unit, the beach access was great, the outdoor pool was very nice, the view of the sound on the other side is very pretty ( this property is in between both). The not so great things are that the units are in need of an update, everything was very dated and the blue carpet was in need of a cleaning. Our unit was pretty clean, but things like scrapes in the shower, or broken tub jets were not fixed( not that I would of used the tub either way) The one area that honestly grossed me out was the indoor pool, they leave the windows open so all the little bugs that are everywhere get inside and die. I think that if they closed the windows at 11 after the pool closes and then power was it every morning that would make a huge difference. We really enjoyed that outdoor pool and the weather was great so it was not a big deal, but worth mentioning. Overall I would stay here again if I found another great deal but if you are looking for something more like a Hilton or Marriott( where we usually stay when we stay in a hotel) I would say don't stay here or you will be disappointed. read more

We spent 1 week at Barrie island station - the resort is laid out nicely - everything is accessible with a short walk. The new make over of the outside of the buildings is a great improvement over the old wooden buildings. We stayed in a 1 bedroom with a full kitchen. It was a very large suite and well laid out. It was clean but outdated. The bathrooms had water damage on the floor and there is some very messy caulking around the sink and tub. We were left 1 cleaner pack for the dishwasher, one spare garbage bag and one roll of toilet paper. The hot water was very temperamental - it generally took several minutes for the hot water to appear. The best part was the beach - it was very accessible and absolutely beautiful! read more

Our family stayed in a 2 bed/2bath unit on the third floor of building 300. The exterior had just been completely renovated with new hardy siding, decking, and windows. The interior was clean and comfortable. The 52 steps to the third floor took your breath away but the views of the ocean and sound from that height were worth it. We were able to pre-checkin at noon and they allowed us access to the pool and beach access until our unit was ready. They called us at 2:30 to let us know we could come get our keys. The pool and beach access are terrific. It is evident the resort is working hard to renovate, but we had no complaints. Everything was clean and in good working order. The interior of our unit was not renovated but it was still nice and very clean. I would stay here again. read more

This property is a DUMP. There was MOLD in the bedroom ceiling. There was dead skin on the sofa and crumbs under the furniture that basic housekeeping should have cleaned. Red ANTS were snacking on the crumbs which eventually took over the living room. We vacuumed and maintenance brought an ant trap which seemed to make it worse. Staff denied our request for a decent room. We left a day early -- no refund and no satisfaction. Don't waste your vacation time and money on this property. I would like to give it 5 negative stars. read more

This place is WAY OUTDATED! Located in Duck, NC it's near the Sunset Grill, which I can imagine is crazy busy during season with it's massive deck but I digress - this place is WAY OUTDATED. When you think of 1980's beach house decor - this place is the epitome of that era of design. The couches, linens, tables, TV, kitchen appliances, all come from the 80's. I don't get it, this place must do a lot of business due to it's quiet location in the OBX so why can't they update the interiors of these units? They have a newer indoor pool and hot tub, which was very nice. The units have carpet throughout, even down in the bedroom near the jacuzzi tub. I can only imagine a potential mold/mildew issue in the future (if not already). The bathtub took forever to drain. I just don't really know what I can say about this place that is good other than the fact it's located on the ocean and access to the beach is easy. read more

We are here on an RCI exchange. It's a beautiful location with a great beach. The one bedroom suite we are in is a bit dated but very clean and in very good condition. We have enjoyed the week very much and my only complaint is that the internet has been out the entire time. Granted, you don't NEED internet when on a beach vacation. But if we were people who had brought work with us we would have been screwed. And part of our 'down time' is being able to kick back in the evenings and surf the web. Especially this time of year when the days are shorter. Point is, if they offer it, they should have it. And I understand things happen but four days later and it's not fixed? What's up with that? When we checked in Sunday night it was after office hours so I called the desk Monday morning and was told it was an area wide problem with the cable company and they were working in it. Supposed to be fixed in a few hours. Five days later, still no internet. Other than that, great place! Private deck overlooking the ocean. Great amenities on site but we didn't use any. It's worth a try if they tell you the internet is working. Or if you don't care about going online. read more

This place is a nightmare. I attempted to check in about 7pm on Sunday afternoon and guests services was closed. Closed when people will be checking in?? I finally get the keys to my room and am mortified to find out that the unit beside me is connected by nothing but a door. The unit was occupied.....AND THEY COULD WALK RIGHT INTO MY ROOM!!! I actually opened the door because I thought it was part of my unit, and what do I see and hear? PEOPLE AND THEIR STUFF !! I could have seen people naked. I ran out. I call the resort. Closed. I go to security, crying. The security guard was kind and said it was the only set of rooms on the resort that were connected in that manner, and he thought there was a keyed lock in between (but obviously there is not). Security called the office manager 3 times before she says she will move me for 125.00. I agree to this if it is somewhere more private where I feel safe. She agrees. She says no one will be in the unit beside me. That was on Sunday night.....On TUESDAY they went back on their word and moved someone BESIDE ME! -------After driving 6 hours to get here, being scared to death, crying and begging for help at the security hut for two additional hours, billed more, promised lies, I CAN SURELY SAY THIS PLACE is bad. The floors to the unit were clean and WIFI was easy w nice speed.. That's the only good thing that I can say. The bathroom ceiling was littered with mildew. The bathroom fan had a cloud of dust bunnies stuck to it, all the fixtures in the bathroom were covered in mildew (I took photos). Customer service lied to RCI, and they refused to answer any of my fb messages, although they read them, and they deleted the bad review I left them. They have a crew of Spanish speaking cleaning persons that yell at each other and are loud as HECK. For an hour they cleaned the room above us and they were dropping furniture and singing and carrying on. I thought my ceiling fan was going to fall on me. They should be trained to be quiet and discreet. read more

True to others writing, some of the units here are outdated but are scheduled for renovations starting in October of 2013. Overall, the place is worn but comfortable with some of the best customer service I have ever experienced on the Outer Banks. The beach is very close to the U.S. Army research pier so unlike other places at the beach, here there is room to either spread out or rent chairs and bunch together. Snacks (beer & wine) and softdrinks are available at reasonable costs at the Snack Shack between the beach and the pool. Overall, very decent place to hang your hat for a week or two unless you are the type that wants the pool boy to bring you your drinks and peel your grapes. Stayed here with family...layout is great for larger families but the rooms are extremely outdated and have a nasty feel about them...like am I going to get bedbugs feeling.. Our room had a minor bug problem and the outer wall had a leak due to a flashing problem, the maintenance man claimed was the contractors fault. The outside of the buildings are currently getting updated...but the inside is in extreme need..outdated fixtures..outdated appliances..outdate flooring and also lacked WiFi... We have a time share at Barrier Island and it was beautiful 20 years ago. This year there ticks and fleas at the apartment. We were bitten continuously. I am disappointed with this resort and will not be returning. read more

I don't know if we just recieved and amazing unit but wow. There is normal wear and tear to the walls and carpet but keep in mind how many people have stayed here. It is very clean, comfortable and the perfect place to spend time away from home. We rented a one bedroom full kitchen unit and couldn't be happier. Check in isn't until 4pm strictly but they do let you on the premises with access to the indoor swimming pool, outdoor swimming pool,changing areas, activity room and snack bar. We had our own private deck and were able to park right outside our unit. There are no elevators so dragging all of your things up when you get here is of course exhausting but they have comfy couches to flop on when you're done. I hate to travel and love being in my own home but this place is great and makes me feel as close to the comforts as home as possible. I hope we can stay here when we return to Duck next year! read more
