The pancakes themselves were nice and thick and fluffy.

Unfortunately, my experiences changed once I began picking up my orders instead of having them delivered. Of all the times I've picked up my food, I can honestly say I've only had two positive customer service experiences. Today was especially disappointing. I stood at the counter waiting while two cashiers assisted other customers. Once they were finished, one employee did not acknowledge me at all, while the other looked directly at me and then looked away. It wasn't until she noticed that I was continuing to look at her that she finally asked how she could help me. By that point, I had already been standing there for some time without so much as a greeting or acknowledgment. I don't want to make assumptions about why I was ignored, but unfortunately, this is not the first time I've experienced this type of treatment here. When a pattern begins to make a customer feel as though they are being treated differently because of the (fill in the blank) that is a serious problem. I love the food and have supported this restaurant consistently, which makes this even more disappointing. However, good food is not enough to make me continue spending my money somewhere I repeatedly feel unwelcome or overlooked. Unfortunately, today will be my last visit.

The only thing I noticed is that they don't have lot of omelette options available which was surprising for breakfast place. 4 stars because I was really disappointed at their AI menu for coffees. The hamburger is nothing special. It looks like it was a frozen mass produced Patty. However, I tried the chicken quesadilla. It was by far the most bland and tasteless food I've ever had. I'm not sure what I was expecting when ordering Mexican food at a Greek restaurant. This will never happen again and the reason why I gave them four stars instead of five.

Ordered it and after few bites did not taste fresh, in fact tasted dry? And frozen. I got almost sick IMMEDIATELY. Mind you I paid " like "$20+" for this. My stomach was so messed up, I wanted to Vomit. Also note my boyfriend ordered Cheesey Egg Omelette, and also refused to eat it after 4 bites. it's not just my meal. Maybe what we ordered was just not the freshest veggie, or egg, or cheese, or... ? I don't know what the heck happened but $47 down the drain. 3 bites each. We asked for a check and walked out. I hate to leave a bad review but atleast the $5 strawberry juice, which was you know... not really fresh or juice was just flavored water, no sugar, was decent. ALSO, my boyfriend did like the pancakes. So... just order the pancakes Service was alright. Ambiance was alright. Food, personally I wouldn't come back. Even if you paid me. My stomach hurt so bad. Morning Delight Cafe is a typical local restaurant with a slightly better than a diner environment going on. A lot of the usual type of stuff you can get. There's omelets as well as salads and sandwiches. Coming in here at lunch it was pretty busy. It's usually a good sign. This was also the weekend. A kind of fusion cuisine. There was a mixture of American and Mexican. At lunch it gets better. It's about $12 for a sandwich or wrap. She had the Vegetable Panini. This has broccoli, mozzarella, mushrooms, onions, red peppers, and spinach. Basic. I had the Veggie Wrap. A pretty standard one to be honest. This comes with broccoli, mozzarella which I left off, mushrooms, onions, red peppers, spinach, and tomatoes. It was bigger than expected. The vegetables tasted pretty basic and weren't anything special. Comes with choice of a side, and I got it with fruit. This was fresh at least. Good place that's got basic items. It's open at breakfast and lunch. This is in the plaza at Caton Farm and Plainfield.

Country esque charm, good service, generous portions, and prices that make you feel like you are getting away with something. No frills, no pretension, just solid breakfast food in a cozy setting. My partner got the standard diner breakfast plate, eggs, hash browns, pancakes, and bacon, and walked away happy. The hash browns were a touch under-seasoned but a quick hit of salt at the table solved that immediately. I went with the country skillet which landed in the same camp. Solid, filling, and again just needing a little more seasoning to really shine. The one miss for us was the biscuits and gravy. Not bad, but not memorable either. The gravy needed more seasoning and personally I want my gravy boldly peppered and this one played it too safe. Probably won't revisit that dish but everything else on the table earned its place. Portions are generous, prices are beyond reasonable, and the service kept things moving without feeling rushed. This is not a destination restaurant and it does not need to be. It is a dependable neighborhood diner that delivers exactly what it promises. Sometimes that is everything you need on a busy Saturday morning. We will be back.

I was sat immediately and my waitress took my order as soon as I was ready. Both the hostess and waitress were friendly and competent. Even the silverware was basically spotless. Unfortunately that's where the good news ends. I ordered the steak skillet with diced jalapeños. When it arrived it looked fine. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and inviting. When I took my first forkful it went downhill fast. The steak was cut into unappetizing kibble sized pieces. After eating a few bites I encountered my one and only sizeable piece of green pepper. Curious I took the eggs off the top of the rest of the skillet and then lost my appetite. Before me was a brown mess of ingredients. I order meals with a healthy amount of freshies in order to have something fresh and not too heavy, fatty or greasy. This was all of those. I finished the eggs and pushed brown pile away. SUCH A GOOD START! wasted by poor food. A note about the back of house management: there was a lot of standing around. The white guy with the white hair whom I took to be the owner had a look on his face like he just didn't wanna be there.
