First visit, had the Greek burger. It was excellent and I'm…read morea bit of a hamburger connoisseur. Service was quality and friendly. Will absolutely be back!

My husband and I stopped in today and the ambiance was nice. There's different seating arrangements…read moreto fit your comfortability whether it's a table, booth or single seat with a storefront view. Today we ordered a maple bacon milkshake, peanut butter milkshake, 1/4 pound grilled cheese burger on toast, 1/2 pound New Orleans burger and a shareable basket of parmesan truffle fries. Let's start with the positives, the shakes were well made and not overwhelmingly sweet and we liked that a lot. My husband's 1/2 pound burger seemed a little small and my grilled cheese burger said it would be on Texas toast but it seemed like it was sourdough bread and not really thick cut like Texas toast should be. I was looking forward to eating here because the pictures of the fries online looked long and thick cut, the basket of fries we got didn't look like that at all and lacked Parmesan cheese. The negative experience was the fact the water tasted weird. I took one sip and tasted a weird chemical taste but my husband and I didn't complain, we just paid and left. I don't know if it was the water or the cup but it definitely had a weird taste. Overall, the experience was ok. I think we had higher expectations seeing all the pictures online. The name of the place threw us both off because we thought it was a Latino owned burger joint with a Mexican twist but that wasn't the case at all.

Nottt a favourite. My sister and I pulled up last year--I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Wrap and we…read moreshared the Smoked Chicken + Artichoke Dip and the cheese curds. It ended up being a massive bummer! For the wrap, I really do hate sounding so harsh, but I don't know how else to put it other than it was one of the worst things I've had. It was soggy, cold, and smelled--not sure about the taste since I could barely taste anything except the sauce--almost rancid! I have NEVER had Buffalo sauce taste like that before! And my lettuce was super soggy and super yellow with some browning, past the regular texture + colour for this type of lettuce. I had many more pieces, but I was so in shock from the wrap that I genuinely didn't take any photos. I genuinely felt ill and I couldn't come close to finishing it--and neither could my sister when she tried to help! The dip was OK, but again, it was cold and rather tasteless. We did end up finishing it, but it wasn't generally noteworthy. It was the best out of the three items we tried, though! The cheese curds were either barely cooked and stale or very overcooked and chilled--the cheese was hard, rubbery, and really cold! They were seasoned nicely though, so we ate enough of it--especially my sister who found some redeeming factors within them! The sauce helped! Oddly enough, we were basically the only people inside, so I'm not sure what went so wrong! There was a small post-funeral or celebration of life being hosted outside (I think???? Everyone in that area wore black/dark formal clothing and looked upset), so maybe all the care went to them?? I'm not sure how it could've really been a "bad day" since it was pretty well staffed and seemingly little stress, but I'm giving a benefit of the doubt if that's my ignorance!! The employees were so sweet and bubbly, though! Interior was cute and super lively, but EXTREMELY cold LOL. Maybe that's why our food was frigid... Redeeming points: The water tasted good!! Not much more to say, just pretty disappointed! I've heard people really like it, even people I know personally, but I really cannot think about it much without feeling ill! I wish I was joking!! Plus, my sister was returning after visiting with our father, where she ordered a Reuben which was overall OK, but not really worth the price (as she reports!). Really unfortunate! Not sure if we will be returning, but we really did appreciate the kind servers and awesome environment!

Third time here, and another great experience. Was packed, because 1) Cubs in NLCS, 2) wife had…read moreanother class reunion, and 3) the bar was hosting a "dog rescue" event. Oh, and the Leinenkugel girls were there too. Given the crowd, it was amazing how well the staff handled requests. They even had, on top of their usual menu, an extra Oktoberfest menu. Da wife had the brat and fries, and I had the grilled chicken sandwich. We also, once again, did the pita with spinach artichoke dip. Everything was tops, it all came out in a reasonable time, and again, the service was great, so I was sure to take extra good care of our young lady. Their beer selection is really good, especially in bottles. You usually think of a neighborhood sports bar as Tombstone pizza and nachos. This place is actually a destination for us for FOOD. Parking's fun, cuz it's in the middle of a working class neighborhood, and last night was a MONSOON. But overall a superior experience. Friendly crowd, too. The owner's a great guy, very involved with his joint, which is a major plus. Big thumbs up.

The fryer oil requires cleaning, the breading is separating, and the flavor is absent. I would rate it 4 out of 10. Frankly, the toughness made it challenging to chew and the fries were just plain limp . Don't get me wrong the hubby had a patty melt which he enjoyed and the service was good

It's kind of an understatement to say my husband and I love McWethy's at Mistwood: we had dinner…read morehere the night we got engaged, and we got married at Mistwood the following year! The food, the architecture, the vibes, the views...all wonderful. But I have to mention something I had never tried there until now. He had read about and signed us up for their "Soup-scription" program: you get four soups a month (they make a different one each day, posted ahead). You can sign up for a month, three months, or six months! I didn't realize until just talking to him that he picked the six month option, which comes with the free tote. But for $250, that means we have one meal sorted a week until April! Normally a quart is $18, so the package significantly discounts it. McWethy's is a great restaurant for either casual fare or special occasions (obviously!), and I'm soup-er excited to see what else the soup-scription will bring!

The tavern itself is a bit dark but a lovely place. The service was top notch and we were well served. And the food? Amazing! A great menu with unique options. All thoughtfully curated and made fresh. Great soups selections too. Cocktails were great. They also have an excellent scotch selection worth checking out. All in all, will be back to try more of their dishes.
