I came in here today and just had one mission of buying this new manga series today unfortunately for whatever reason the workers decided to follow me around the store to make sure I wasn't stealing which is ridiculous when I spend hundreds of dollars at Barnes & Noble every year. Not once in the entire time that they followed me did they ask me if I needed help finding anything it was just solely to make sure I wasn't stealing. This is the first time and last time I will ever be visiting this location the one in town square has a better selection and nicer staff that doesn't follow you around because you're brown. If It wasn't for the fact that I really wanted to buy that series as treat for myself today after a bad week I would've left them behind because of the treatment. I cannot state how much I love this bookstore! The sheer size of this location means their selection of books in different genres is unparalleled to the other book shops in Vegas. Service is great. There are plenty of workers. I like going to the center computer desk to ask for assistance with locating books. Pricing is aligned to every other Barnes and noble. They have different sales throughout the year that can help you save on books, board games, toys, stationary, etc. This location has an attached Starbucks to start off your day on the right foot. This location has such cute decorations and setup for each genre. It's a far drive from me but due to the value of the store I don't mind driving down. read more

I love shopping for books in person and this B&N is my favourite for this chain. The employees here are always really helpful and friendly. If you ask around with different employees, they're able to give you great recommendations for local and online sellers for vintage and used books that have gone out of print or aren't available for sale through B&N's warehouse vendors. While the prices are a bit higher (if you don't keep track of coupons) compared to prices at big box stores like Target and online warehouse slop like Amazon, B&N is conveniently located and offers a great community hub. I've made several friends out of the regulars who frequent this store, and we hang out and chat by the cafe for an hour or two. I love B&N's environment and the way it reminds us to slow down and forget about our to-do list for a little while. (There's also nothing like taking kids book shopping, and neither Target nor online warehouse undercutters can ever hope to replace that experience.) read more

I love the store, especially the children section. I was shopping for my great grandsons and met the nicest mom and her children who helped me pick out some great books for my great grandsons. Also one of the customer service people helped me find some special books and took care of shipping them for me! As I have a BN membership I was able to ship some of the books through BN. The best experience ever! Everyone was so friendly and helpful and in todays climate that was such an improvement over what we usually get when shopping. Stopped in today to look for the Ultimate Scholarship book 2024 for my daughter, but unfortunately it won't be available till July 18, 2023. So instead me and my daughter spent an hour looking for some new books and grabbed some Starbucks while spending some time with one another. This Barnes & Nobles has a nice seating area in the book store where you can read while you enjoy your Starbucks. The Customer service was great today with helping us locate the scholarship book section and they also gave us a coupon for buy one get the second book 50% off. Sweet!!! During check out I signed up for B&N rewards. You earn one stamp for every $10 you spend. When you have 10 stamps you get a coupon to Save $5 on a store or online purchase. Nice!!! The location itself is very good, nice book selection and the people are very nice. However, I expect a much more clean environment. I have been coming to this location for about 20 years. The mens bathroom is disgusting and is never maintained. The floors, toilets, counters, ceilings are dirty, have broken fixtures, graffiti and uncovered outlets. I realize these are bathrooms, but I have seen the same broken lights/lights out, disgusting floors, walls and ceilings and graffiti has not been fixed for years. These issues were the same 2 years ago, 4 years ago...I have pictures for then with the same issues. Same exact broken light and uncovered unsafe outlet has been like that for years. Unsanitary conditions in the same areas appear to never get cleaned. Its just gross and unacceptable for employees and management to overlooks for years. It says "I don't care" read more

I live on the southwest side of town and would drive to this location again specifically for the experience and service. The selection of books was great. I found everything I was looking for. Aaron went above and beyond to help my cousin and me find our needed books. He was personable and made the experience fun. We were also signing up for a book event, and he took the time to ensure we were signed up correctly. I was so happy with my experience that I upgraded my membership. With so many brick and mortar stores going out of business, it's good to see that Barnes and Noble is still alive and kicking. Having physical bookstores is a must, and this remains a favorite shop of mine. I've been shopping at this particular location since they opened up in my youth. While I admit that I don't buy a ton of books anymore, the movie selection and the volume of sales that they've had since Best Buy stopped carrying movies has certainly made them a more frequently visited retailer than ever before. The most helpful employee I've dealt with is Darryl (hope I spelled that right) who has always helped me find the movies I've been searching for and informing me of good deals. The Criterion and Kino Lorber sales are great for film lovers like myself. The only reason I knocked off a star is because almost all books in the store are sold full price with no discount of any kind. Some of the standard movie prices are a bit high compared to other retailers, particularly online ones, but the sheer selection makes up for it. Book and movie enthusiasts will want this store to be on their radar. read more

This Barnes & Noble used to be my jam. I used to live about 3 min away and could walk here in about 15-20min. I lived in NYC before this and it was a normal thing to just hang out at a book store, as if it were a library or a coffee shop, so I did that when I first moved here. However, it's not quite as accepted here as it is there but there is a Starbucks so there's that. I haven't been in, in a long time and it brought back so many memories and a longing for a long afternoon with a good book. I mean just the smell walking in made me travel through time. We came in and it was very busy because people were definitely doing some last minute holiday shopping (as were we). The order of stuff was a bit frenetic and very different than I remember but we were able to find the book we wanted. I will say that books are cheaper elsewhere, especially online, but it was nice to have the convenience of getting what we needed immediately. They even give out coupons for the café when we did our purchase. Nice touch! read more

What a wonderful find for a real life bookstore. In the age of digital everything, it's important to still have a physical copy of books. This store has definitely modernized and is a lot brighter and more organized than before. You can find just about any book from so many topics from cooking, history, anime, romantic novels, sports, and so much more. There's also a neat little section of gift ideas like for the sports enthusiast to the bohemian spiritual person. Candles, pens, notepads, and even fancy soaps for gifting or just for yourself. I never leave reviews for placing but this needs to be said. I have never felt more uncomfortable and unwelcomed at any Barnes and nobles then I did here. I came to the store looking for a specific figure company that I love buying, and I'm sure many people do too, and it said online they had it in stock, so I decided to stop by. When I arrived and looked in the figure section I didn't see anything I was looking for which were "in stock and ready for pickup" online. So I asked the front workers and they claimed it was lost in Christmas stock boxes?! Which is fine I said thank you and decided to check again, I saw some boxes near the section and looked in a few of them just in case I could find it. But The security guard, bald guy with glasses, showed up and said "you don't need to look our team is already looking," and forcibly removed the box. It look everything in me to not rock this guy. He was rude and smug the way he handled it. I waited for about 30 minutes again and nothing. That guard and the unhelpful staff ruined my experience here and I'm Never returning, and don't waste your time here. read more

I don't know why I stopped coming here. Just distance I guess! But Barnes and noble is somewhere I grew up going to and love it and fell in love all over again. They have a vast selection of not only books, but nick nacks, journals, toys, magazines, stocking stuffers, dvds, records, Christmas gifts!! I walked out with a bag full of items and was able to do a little bit of Christmas shopping. I will say some of the books can be expensive but they are hardcover and good quality, things you cannot find anywhere. And personally, I prefer holding my book and reading it than scrolling on my phone. Nothing beats diving into a book not only mentally but physically turning the pages and feeling a hardcover. The employees were super kind and helpful and I love how depending on the section you are in they have other items you can buy that relate to that. For example I was in a journaling section and they had an aromatherapy for sleep help. The only thing that bothered me was the worker checking me out kept questioning my purchases and asking I knew how much everything was and if I still wanted to get it because of the price. I don't like being judged or having pre-conceived notions on if I can afford something or not when I continually complied to wanting the items. Other than that I will be back read more

This a great location. It's spacious enough that you can find a quiet corner or hang out with toddlers/kids. I've been taking my kid here since she was small. The kid section is a great place to kill time since they have a little stage and sitting area. The new toy sections have neat novelty items and the paper section has great variety. My husband loves to hang out in the magazine area. Staff is helpful if you need assistance. The membership is worthwhile if you buy new books often and not too expensive. The Mrs was looking for a particular book on Queen Elizabeth, so we stopped in Barnes & Noble & went straight to the customer service booth. The lady not only found the book in the computer system, but walked us over to the correct section & pulled the book she wanted off the shelf. Kudos to her, what a great help. I love Barnes & Noble, and this store has so much potential, but it lacks grace. What is grace? I would say it is the ease of walking and finding something. This store is always leaving me going around corners to find something, and then walking back to see if I missed something else. There is so much unnecessary clutter of items. I like to be able to walk to an area and find what I'm looking for... crazy, right? This store is more loop-de-loop roller coaster than a straight pass through. If you want candles - they may be in 5 different places. If you want to find books - you must first bypass paper products. If you want to check out - you must go through a winding entrance very like a line to a roller coaster - but with lots of easy to reach fun things to buy. And my beloved little book/mini book display usually has a chair that is butted up right against it. I try to make it a personal policy not to straddle someone I don't know just so I can look at a display. The products are fantastic and the staff is friendly, attentive, and highly efficient. But, they really need to reboot the layout. If you want products - this is a great place. I am pretty sure it is also the busiest location in the valley. The last of the dinosaurs, here in Las Vegas only 1 of 2 left. I was pleasantly surprised how well stocked this location was and the staff was super friendly and very helpful. The ease of movement here is very good the flow seems to work well. The aisles are very wide and well spaced out this is a huge store,I do believe this location in Henderson is the bigger of the two. The store has a Starbucks cafe attached to it also which was very crowded, when I went on sunday. The only thing I did not care for was in the back corner of the store was a lot of box's and shelving just placed randomly in there. The restrooms are up kept and very clean Glad to see the store is still hanging in there. I have many memories of going to my local Barnes and nobles with my family when I was younger. I would definitely recommend coming here, or any of these bookstores and help in supporting them. We need these stores around so instead of just doing everything online, let's go back to the way things were before, and keep around the brick and mortar locations. read more

She said she was the manager when I asked. Initially wouldn't say her name even though I introduced myself. Her attitude was condescending and communication passive/aggressive. So embarrassing. My toxic trait is coming to Barnes and Noble when I still have a stack of unfinished/unread books at home, lol. I love this store so much. The staff is always kind and welcoming and the books and merchandise are kept neat and organized! They had their usual recommended books arranged by theme and table at the front, but I made a bee line to the psychology and personal growth section (your girl is trying to improve her mental health) I ended up with at least 7 books in my arms, but it would've been financially irresponsible to bring them all home, ugh. Magically, I dwindled it down to one book. Mark my words I will be back for the rest though, lol. When it came to check out, there was only one cashier helping out the customers. Although the line moved fairly quickly, it would've been more efficient if they had at least one more person to help the lone cashier out! Anyhow, I'm very excited to read my new book! We had a blast here! I hadn't been in a bookstore in years, but it was cool to see this one thriving. My wife had some Christmas shopping to do, so I tagged along. She got everything she wanted for our great-nieces and even found something for herself. The selection is really incredible! Lots of really great books, manga, games, toys, knickknacks, & stationary items to choose from! It can be a little pricy but signing up for the card can get you some discounts down the road staff is always super friendly and attentive whenever I've asked for help. I looooove the Starbucks that they have in there. So many different food items you won't find at a regular Starbucks and the coffee is always really good! read more

This Barnes & Noble is the superior location. Excellent selection of books, great cafe. My favorite thing to get at the bakery is the broccoli & cheddar quiche. They recently started serving oat milk here and I'm addicted! Amanda at the cafe is very sweet and helpful. I love how they not only sell books but they sell stationary, magazines, board games, cards, fancy pens, beautiful journals, crafts, painting guides, candles, household decorum, etc. It's fun coming here during the holidays. There's always complimentary gift wrapping. I also adore the blind date with a book concept! There's always a sale going on here I love it. The only thing I don't like about this location is how they blast music. I like silence when I'm reading/studying or browsing around for books. I miss the days when it was quiet. I think the toy section should be abolished. It's cute but I dislike when the children are screaming bloody murder cause their parents won't buy them a toy! Luckily I block it out. There's way too many beautiful things about this store to focus on, instead of the negatives. I also think this store needs to stay opened much later - say around ten pm.
