Staff can be found throughout this location if you need help. My interaction with employees has always been positive; they have great attitudes, they're helpful, and they're knowledgeable! After spending some time looking for a specific book today, I finally asked an employee who was restocking books in the opposite end of the aisle if she could look up book to see if it was in stock. I gave her the name of the book and instantly she said, "oh yeah, that book is this way.." bam! She grabbed the book off the shelf and handed it over. Amazing! This location is clean and easy to navigate through. My kiddo can spend a good hour in the kids section..there's smalls nooks and kid size benches to sit and read. Very cute. I am a huge fan of reading books. I listen to audiobooks when I work out in the gym or go for my daily walks instead of listening to music; however, I truly appreciate the feel of holding a book in my hands and turning page by page to really get into what I am reading. This is the reason I enjoy visiting this bookstore. I can be selective in whichever category I wish to purchase and read at the moment. I also have a paid membership to their discount program, which offers various benefits, including discounts on my purchases. This store is always fully stocked and well-maintained, and its employees are friendly and ready to assist customers with whatever they need. The selection of books and topics to read is endless, and they even offer a clearance and discounted section at the rear of the store. It's been years since I've stepped foot in this particular B&N location, but I found myself here while staying with family in the area over the holidays. The good: the store filled an order I'd placed through the app quickly; the bad: half the order wasn't able to be completed because it wasn't actually in stock. I don't know if this was an app error or store error, but it was a bit of a bummer and now I'll have to visit another location for that item. My favorite section to visit as a crafter is Arts & Hobbies, which is on the store's left close to the stationery and gifts area. The cafe is to the right of the entrance. Fiction, sci-fi, and fantasy are toward the middle, while music and collectibles are located toward the back. Something to keep in mind, unlike the Long Beach and Del Amo/Torrance locations, Glendora doesn't have as substantial a bargain book and DIY kit section, which I like to frequent for my nieces. However, the kids' section is pretty sizable and can be found in the back left. This B&N is in the same plaza as Best Buy, PetSmart, and AMC theaters, so it can get busy although there is plentiful parking. I was waiting for my car to be serviced at the Toyota of Glendora. I strolled on over to the Glendora Marketplace. I love to read books! Thought I check out Barnes & Noble (B & N) since I haven't visited one in a very long while. I have purchased primarily books from B & N in-house and online in the past. I am grateful B & N is still thriving and selling wonderful reading materials, games, music, and other stuff for all to enjoy. This location has a Starbucks cafe inside with dining. There is also an outside uncovered patio area with tables and chairs. Towards the back of the store is where the board games and other fun stuff are located. I spent a good amount of time walking back and forth in this area. Even though I originally did not plan to buy anything, after I saw the games section, I was very tempted to buy something. I was looking for a game that I could use at the next team lunch event at work. I found it and I bought it! Guess The Phrase! Are you a catchphrase master? There are 300 phrases to guess for Sport, Nature, Food, Money, Travel, and General categories. So cool! Now I have to come up with a fun way to introduce the game and incorporate play. Recently, I rediscovered Barnes and Noble. My Wife and I have a ministry where we take Bibles, card games, puzzle books, etc. to people in hospitals or prisons. We've discovered that the highest quality items for our ministry are at B&N, and they are reasonably priced. We love it here. Has a great vibe and a huge selection, both books and the gift shop. We like to browse around and the Starbucks inside the store is always fun to go to. Everyone here is really sweet and helpful and very polite. We always end up laughing with the employees, which is quite nice. Even though I went for a planner, I love looking and seeing what is new and on sale. It was busier than I thought it would be, but everyone I asked for help was pleasant and very patient. I did not feel rushed or as if I was an inconvenience. This was another great B&N trip. read more

Barnes and Noble is my go to store for all my babies books and even kpop albums. I am a rewards member because if it would be kind of dumb not to have a membership knowing I have a kid who loves reading. Literally I visit a B&N once a month. If you have a membership you get cool perks. The service is always great, the staff are always ready to answer any questions you may have. The prices on their books are reasonable and like I said you get perks with the membership such as 10% off on every book/item purchased. Their app makes it so much easier to order and to pick up at any near store within two hrs of placing orders. This is perfect!!! read more

I love Barnes and Noble. I'm a big book store fan in general, and so am relieved that Barnes and Noble has survived the general bookstore shut downs. (Please consider buying your books at local bookstores rather than on Amazon.) This Barnes & Noble is clean and aesthetically pleasing, has a Starbucks with tasty food and drinks inside, offers savings and benefits with its members plan, and has very helpful staff. I was happy to see a dad reading with his two little girls at one of the tables, students studying, people reading books and perusing magazines. (I only hope everybody who uses the bookstore at least purchases something. Otherwise go to the library.) There's a general feeling of community and value of reading that I love. It's such a treat to come here, buy a few books and magazines, sit in the café and have a snack, and read a while. It feels luxurious. My kind of self-care! read more

I had a return one day and he made the process smooth and he's been so helpful and kind every time we come into this location. I absolutely love reading to my baby. It's hard to find a Barnes and Noble close to me. I was glad to find this one that wasn't to far. It wasn't to busy and it was well organized and it was very clean. I absolutely loved the layout and I loved the book choice for the children. I read to him there comfortably and other parents were reading to there children comfortably as well. I found many books I loved but only got two for now. I became a rewards member because I will most definitely be coming back. This is by far one of my favorite stores and they also have legos and learning toys and normal toys for kids. read more

One of the few Barnes & Noble left. There's lots of parking in the plaza and this was a very neatly organized location. I saw the workers walking around assisting customers in finding books and other items. It was neat that they had those blind book date things where a book would be wrapped up in gift wrap and only the genre of the book is revealed. Pretty neat if you like reading! Honestly, I would really only go to a bookstore for manga. Yeah I know, I'm a weeb, what of it? They have a very decent selection with staff suggestions too. Paperback, hardcover, omnibus, etc. It would be nice if they were able to get to a point where they can have a separate section only for light novels (this was mixed in with the manga). Books are a little overpriced but there is a lot of variety. The service was amazing- I asked for help looking for a CD and an employee looked through many of them to help me find the only one they had. I will warn you though- if this is your first time at B&N pay for Starbucks after your purchases and not before because oftentimes you will get a coupon like $2 off when you pay. read more

Recently did an urgent fix job for their maintenance co. Cal Fix (William) on 1 day notice; and now they won't pay for the work. I hope the manager reads this as I will now have to hold Barnes and Noble accountable for my work. This maintenance firm appears to be corrupt. They agree to the price and then wouldn't pay even though William said they would. If I were Barnes and Noble I would change maintenance firms something is not right as they told me not discuss the amount of the repair - it was only 265,00 and they won't pay. read more

The amount of times I've went in and stood in line for 20minutes because it seems the cashiers are incompetent of putting in an order is probably 10+ times now. I went in with my wife on 1/13/2025 at around 4:45. Blonde dorky guy in a navy blue polo at the register rang us up, said maybe two words to us, no greeting, nothing. Dude was acting like he was doing us a favor, and had the personality of a wet mop. Even said something stupid in response to his boss when he was told to do something. The dork said, "are you trying to make my job more difficult?" Like how difficult is your job dude? Book selection is great, that little boy's customer service is garbage. read more

Throughout the pandemic stores both local and big bizness were thrown for a loop. And I'm one who supported the locals businesses first before delving into the super commercial ones. But Barnes and Noble has always been a bookstore that my family has shopped at, and I've been to the big one in New York, so this bookish girl is super supportive of bookstores. They've opened again and with great emphasis on keeping the public safe. They exercised six foot spacing and other good things. We stopped by today because I had to get a few things using my educator discount because I'm also a homeschool mom too--even before the pandemic. We did our shopping and found some mangas for my daughter as well as a few holiday gifts already. So if you're in the Glendora area, off Gladstone, stop by and give 'Em a visit. I come here all the time. Today I probably had the worst experience w the cashier named, Katie. My son found a book that was part of the set. She asked me if I want to not get the set instead of trying to help me for the rest of the set. Then she told me it is going to take a while. She clearly didn't want to help. You got to give Barnes and Noble 5 stars for even attempting to continue to be in operations even in the digital age where most bookstores are non-existent. This location brings back memories for many people and their childhood. We should continue this experience for our children before this place closes down. Location: Located in a bustling outdoor shopping mall with a plethora of places to eat and shop. There are also tons of parking parking as well. Store: it's rather huge and organized in various manner of topics and subject. There is even a place for DVDs and CDs which you usually don't find in most stores anymore. Additionally, Barnes and Nobles also acts like a toy store with various toys for all ages as well as movie memorabilia such as Harry Potter. Coffee Shop: Great place to get your drinks and snacks. It appears many people use the books in are and read through them without purchasing them. Kids Area: Awesome area for kids to sit and read. Also, every weekend there are interactive story telling time from the book store employees. We went during the Polar Express readings where they encourage the kids to wear their pajamas. I seen him running all over the store looking for this ONE that's in stock. He even stopped to let me know that he was still with me, looking for the set.
