This bookstore has a lot of options and is a good place to stop by between classes to get snacks. There is a wide variety and typically isn't crowded unless it's the beginning and end of the semester. The workers are pretty nice there are no complaints there. My complaint is the prices of things as a lot of the stuff there is quite overpriced, especially the textbooks, hoodies and school merch, and the school supplies. The snacks are also pricy and is a bit or miss depending on what you're getting but you're paying for the convenience I guess. Also keep in mind that they have no bags so bring your own. read more

I come here on the regular as I'm a student, but being here for 5 years, the prices have gone up on most items. Although this bookstore is very clean, organized, and have a variety of items you need on the first and second floor - I recommend you buy your school supplies somewhere cheaper (like Walmart, daiso, amazon) & save yourself some money. Books will be really pricey & other school supplies cost around $5-$20. I only shop here for scantrons & pencils, as they're the cheapest items & every student needs them. And as any other university bookstore, be aware during the beginning of each semester, midterm & finals weeks as lines will be long wait before you cash out your items. TIP: BRING A BAG OR REUSABLE BAG if you're purchasing more than a few items. They don't give you plastic bags. read more

My 100th Yelp review! And what better place to review than my school bookstore on campus. The bookstore is pretty much a one-stop shop for what students need. The bookstore sells many items such as stationery supplies, textbooks, manuals, apparel, gear, electronics, and snacks. Although the items are slightly higher-priced, all proceeds go to the university. Once in a while though, there are good discounts and sales if you just look around carefully. The store does tend to be busy and crowded during the beginning of the quarter (soon-to-be semester!) Refunds and exchanges on certain items are valid for only 30 days, and some items are final sale. Lastly, their customer service is quite helpful too. read more

This place is okay. Way too overpriced for the simplest things. I mean a pack of whiteboard markers should NOT be almost 20 dollars when at target you get for almost 15 max. Also the books for classes there are way too overpriced as well. read more

The books are expensive and it is a huge hassle to return anything (During the first week of the quarter, it can take up to an 40 minutes to return something). While it is convenient that it is located on campus, I try to save money by going to Amazon for my textbooks. Overall, the bookstore has good employees, and organized neatly. Most of their products are good quality, especially if you need a boning knife for a class (btw, that is a real name for a knife) but sometimes you just don't have the money to spend on convenience. read more

This store is located near the Bronco Student Center. It is the only bookstore on campus. Therefore it carries most of the textbooks, that were needed for my courses. However, the prices were marked up quite high, and lines during the first week were long. Still, when I had no other choice, I purchased my textbooks here. read more

Aside from the long lines, overpriced books, and clear agenda to make a profit by whatever means necessary I didn't have much to complain about coming to the bookstore. It really is the last place I shopped when comparing prices of course. The biggest concern and new low I encountered though was just recently when I had to come to return a textbook. It's obvious if you unwrap your text book you aren't justified a return. But a one day return policy?? This is their return policy and the picture will show it. I added a class late and bought the corresponding textbook that Thursday. I bought a used copy without the code and the professor tells the class the next Tuesday the code is only needed not the book. I go to the bookstore saying such and they state you only had until Friday to return. Out 140 dollars with a perfect good wrapped text book I'll sell back for an estimated 10 dollars. And yes I asked politely and told the manager my case they said you just had the one day sorry nothing we can do. Lovely. read more

The books in the bookstore are a little bit expensive for me, but there are many goods, such as clothes, electronic products and candies. One time, after I bought a pair of headphones, I found that its quality is very good. Also, the staff there are very kind. Many people buy something in the Bronco Bookstore. This place is cool. It has clothes, snacks, stationary items and books. It's kind of hard to look for a certain book, but that's what the information desk is for. The staff is very kind and there are usually a lot working as cashiers. The only downside is that whenever you visit during the beginning weeks, it's always crowded. It is true that I didn't find a new copy of a novel, but the used one's condition is great. read more

Do not waste your time here. I ordered a book online to pick up in the store. Waited almost 30 minutes to be told that the order is "being processed." Was shooed away. Okay, fine but I don't have time to wait as I go to two schools and work all week long. I went back downstairs to purchase the book while it was on the shelf instead, and faced another hurdle at checkout. I had to go back upstairs with a sales associate, notify the in store pick up line that I want my order cancelled, and went from there. One of the sales associates upstairs was extremely rude and condescending, giving me a crap show of instructions that I have already heard from three other sales associates. All of this trouble, for one book? Sales associates should have better training or previous experience in retail. I had to walk them through on how to resolve the problem. TLDR; Avoid the online ordering system for in store pickup. Instead, purchase the book while it's on the shelf. Wasted a total of 1.5 hours. read more

This store is a nightmare. Graduated with my masters and I was given the wrong hood color, went to exchange it and they ran out! I was given a "rental" which was not the same color as my graduating class. I ended up borrowing a friend's hood. I was promised the correct hood in 2-3 weeks by Josten's. I called the bookstore in 2-3 weeks and was told they were doing inventory so they couldn't tell me if they had the hoods... So I am still without a hood. Spoke with the director the following week, Brian Fetterman. He was quite rude and it was clear he did not want to deal with me. Both the bookstore and Josten's blame me for waiting last minute when my receipt clearly states I purchased my hood on in April. My graduation was in June.... The bookstore ruined my graduating experience. In regards to everything else, the exchange policy is poor. You can save so much money purchasing your books on Amazon rather than waiting in the long lines of a hellish nightmare. read more

Gets super crowded during the beginning weeks of each quarter but dies down fast. Any other time there is guaranteed to be no line and not many people in there. I rarely see people buy any clothing, mostly people come in to buy random school supplies such as scantrons or pens. Everything is a bit overpriced as usual but what can you do. I dont usually see people come here for food neither. Friendly staff and people are always willing to help you out. read more

I really like the Bookstore. I dont normally buy my textbooks here, but if I have a reading assignment and havent recieved my books yet I come here to read. The Bronco Gear is really nice I have a sweater and flashlight/pointer that my mom bought me. I had bought a cup and Cal Poly chocolates. The chocolates are pretty amazing! I had recently bought a movie here for about $3. There is an assortment of movies for $5 or less including Blue Ray. The movie I bought was Music and Lyrics a really cute romantic comedy. I've seen some other really good and popular movies like Harry Potter and Twilight. Also, if you are looking for a job on campus I heard the hours here are really flexible and you dont have a minimun amount of hours you need to work. Hoping to get a job here. You can purchase scantrons here as well as other suppiles and snacks. The only textbooks I have bought here so far is my BIO 111 Lab book, my code for a computer class, and my statistics book (?).
