The store itself was better last year (in 2025) when I went for the first time. There was more to see last year. Spirit Halloween is better than this. If it wasn't for the animatronics that all the kids love, the only thing left would be the packaged-wrapped costumes. The little haunted house walk-through wasn't even open and they don't turn on their A/C so it was hot in there, which I think it was hot last year too, so husband and I didn't stay long. We had planned to go to the mall right there anyway, which we had to to kill time before the Halloween store opened, otherwise, the kind of long drive would have been a total bust.

We love checking out all the costumes and Halloween decor for the house. The value is all pretty standard, but the selection is always quite good the earlier you shop. The staff around usually filtering around the store. It's very well organized and easy to find the Adults and Kids sections. Spirit Halloween's are always cool to peruse around to see all that they have to offer. The costumes are funny and some look scary. I was surprised that there were still many items still avail for sale when I visited this store. I will be attending a 70's Disco-themed birthday party this weekend and I had no idea what to wear. I walked into this store and immediately found the funkiest looking disco shirt in my size (2XL). Regular price was $39.99. After the discount, I paid $6.99. Needless to say, I was very happy. I went on to purchase many more items for upcoming parties and three bag full items of items later, my total bill was $51.68 including my cool and very colorful, looking disco shirt. I was then told i had to return some gloves to the original store since it was opened. I asked does it say that on the receipt or website her answer no we tell all customers. Here is the return policy I found on line.... (We will gladly accept returns and exchanges within 30 days of purchase with original receipt and refund the amount originally paid to the original form of payment. All we ask is the items are in new condition with original packaging. ). I gave the gloves in the bag and the cardboard fingers on top. She proceeded to ask another employee if she could accept the return (I assume since I couldn't hear the conversation) at that point I was like are you kidding me just give v them back it's not that big of a deal. She proceeded with my return asked me for my form of payment. I explained the card was lost and I had the replacement card again she looks at me like sorry.... I'm like just give me store credit I just need a different item. What made me even more upset was after all that i purchased with my credit a different item checking out with another cashier I asked for the 1st cashier name and I get sorry i don't feel comfortable giving her name out.
