Items purchased from Dollar Tree stores will help you to get by, and that's about it. Well, let's just say dollar tree is making the same mistake the 99 cent store did when they added all these items that were no longer .99 . They just raised the prices in all items so most items are now $1.50 instead of $1.25 but there's a whole lot stuff that is much more than that so now when you are shopping you have to pay attention you maybe picking up an item thinking is $1.50 and it turns out to be $5.00 not everything is clearly labeled . I picked up a pack of paper plates thinking it was $1.50 because that's what it said underneath but it turned out to be $4.00! There was a very small sticker on the back of it that was hard to see . So my guess is eventually dollar tree will close just as the .99 store did. read more

I frequently come to shop here for small things, and today employees from Dollar Tree Ryan and Shay went ABOVE AND BEYOND!!! One of their customers had rushed back in after their purchase, frantic and worried due to accidentally locking herself out of her car and her dog inside it. (It was 102° outside at this time of day). Some other customers and myself tried to assist in the situation but the support and generosity from Ryan and Shay really made the difference. I switched off to 'Dollar Tree,' Covina was because I had to buy teaching materials for work before. Now I drove through the City of Industry location but didn't find them selling any 'St. Patrick's day craft activities so I Yelped and found this location. When I arrived at Covina's 'Dollar Tree,' I realized I had passed them many times but didn't actually stop in for anything till a monthly project called. I actually found everything that was not sold at the City of Industry location during that March month/2022 or they were already sold out from the City of Industry branch which was normal. You saved my day, 'Dollar Tree,' of Covina. Will be back to this branch again some time in the future I'm sure. read more

I used to live right across the street from this location. I was here when they first built it 8 years ago lol. I stopped by here few weeks ago visiting my brothers crib. I went inside to get a few things. I don't often shop at these kind of stores anymore. But they had some good stuff i like and always find good. They have good frozen and refridgerated meals here. So affordable. They have everything you can think of here. From party supplies to food to toys to cards etc. I found the cutest little baby shower nail polishes (tickled pink) and several other items needed for the baby shower at unbeatable prices like cute gift boxes! They also have a small wedding section. The store itself is usually neatly organized, staff is friendly, and I can be lost in here for at least an hour looking from aisle to aisle. Parking is ample enough. If you're planning a party I would definitely recommend coming here first to see what they have. Mask required in order to enter the store. The store itself is a bit hidden but I honestly prefer the Dollar Tree over the 99 cent store. Nicer employees + more well kept store. read more

I went shopping here yesterday and left my purse on the counter cashier. My mind was preoccupied. I didn't realized that my purse was not with me until this morning. I traced back my steps and figured just maybe I left it there. In my mind, if I did... what's the chances of my purse still safe and sound ?! Called anyways and the sweetest manager verified my name and description of the purse. She then told me that to come pick it up anytime, she locked it in a safe place. At this point.... I was thinking there is faith in humanity! I rushed out there to get my purse. The manager is professional, courteous and smart!! She told me she was going to turn it to over to the cops if I didn't come forward because my ID was in there. She is awesome! Not to mention the cashier who turned my purse over. She is an honest person who did the right thing. I don't have a lot of valuables in my purse. Just the hassle of getting my ID cards and canceling of credit cards. She saved me from ALL that. This cashier has always been very nice to me until yesterday. I couldn't believe it. She fat shamed my husband and me. We are elderly and overweight. We were there to purchase a bunch of candy for an event. I had a card and wrapping paper. I cannot quote her exactly but she kept saying things like, that's a lot of sugar, you can be affected by this if you have high blood pressure and other remarks like this. We were to stunned to say anything. Maybe she was thinking that we were going too eat all of the candy ourselves and was trying to be helpful but in reality it was very rude and none of her business. This store just opened, it's a great little dollar discount store. Before I used to drive to San Dimas even though there was another store in Covina because the selection was much better but this one is pretty cool! An awesome place to buy house hold stuff and party supplies. read more

I came here on a beautiful sunny Sunday because my little two cousins needed some arm floaties for their swim at their uncle's house. I liked their items and their prices, but trying to find these arm floaties was a mission store because there was no staff walking around to help us out. We were just walking up and down every aisle frantically to find these items. All the staff was at their cash registers helping the shoppers waiting to pay for their items. I wished this store had more employees to help people like me and my little cousins. Minus 1 star for their Turns out they didn't have these arm floaties because it's not considered summer time yet. So we ended up buying these noodle boards instead. The cashier in the front was so nice and informed me that these arm floaties would arrive in May. I can't get over the rude manager! If you can refrain from shopping at this location, I definitely would. I was shopping at the store when I heard the loud dramatic manager literally scolding a family and belittling them just because they had multiple returns WITH A RECEIPT!!! She first told them NEXT TIME, they need to make returns before walking around the store. Then she must have told them 5 times (if not more) they need to have everything ready NEXT TIME, because now her line is too long. Ummm.... I don't see a CUSTOMER SERVICE/RETURNS LINE! I must have missed the rules and regulations before I walked in the door. I proceeded to tell the manager how unprofessional and rude she was to the family. Low and behold, all of a sudden the cat got her tongue and she couldn't speak a word to me. I asked her name and she stated her name was Lisa. Not sure if that was true since she wasn't wearing a name tag. Go figure! I don't care if you are working at the Louis Vuitton Store or The Dollar Tree! Customer Service is EVERYTHING!!! She needs a reality check and to realize not everyone is as perfect as she seems to think she is! In this store all the time. Went today and needed help out (I am disabled) since you can't take the cart out. The checker called for help. 2 people came, as they were pulling things out of the cart one of the employees asked if I was going to help. I replied to her that once they moved I would grab something. Both people grabbed everything out of the basket. Once out to the car one of the associates put what she had in and was awesome, the other looked at me and tried to get me to take everything she had in her hands (I couldn't). I told her I can't take everything at once and grabbed some to put in the vehicle, she left everything else on the ground. I went back in to speak with the manager, and it was the person who left things on the ground. When I told her she was rude and that I had asked for help because I was disabled, she said that I was the rude one and that I never told her that I was disabled. I love this specific dollar tree because they are much nicer than the staff at the eastland center dollar tree. They are very kind and offer their help to find anything. This location is very clean and organized. It's kind of hidden in this covina shopping center. It's right across from KFC , Jack in the crack, and USA gasoline. 5 stars from me all the way. :-) read more
