This is a location I visit on occasion when I am looking for a specific item. The service is ok, but the products are subpar. I don't usually buy milk but when I visited the locates on the 2/29 all the oat milk from that day was dated for an expiration on 2/29! To top it off, I bough and item that has MSG, the same MSG that causes cancer! I was very disappointed because I didn't realize this when I bought the fist bottle. I went back for more the day of 2/29 and bought, not one, but TWO!!! American banned the production of MSG but they sell it and distribute them? Only because it was not made here? That makes no sense .. If you see this item, STAY AWAY. "MonoSodium Glutamate is the same as MSG" read more

Sorry to say that the 99 Cent Store is no longer a 99 Cent store, even though the name has not changed. When they first started raising prices, I was told anything more than 99 cents would have the price marked on it. That is no longer the case. Today, I purchased 17 items. A few were marked at a higher price, but when I received my receipt, only 3 things were actually 99 cents. When I looked at the bill, the first two things I noticed were ketchup at $4 and a box of tea at $2.50. The biggest problem for me is that the prices are not marked. I shopped at the 99 Cent store because I live on a budget. The cost matters. If I can't know how much something is going to cost, then I can't price compare. After the 9 Cent store, I went to Target. That same ketchup (same brand name) was only 50 cents more than at the 99 Cent store. read more

Well if you have store hours, you should be open those hours and not have the doors locked. Also on a previous trip, I purchased lunch meats a month past their sell by date and had to throw them away. read more

Awesome location!! This is a clean, relatively not crowded location with very nice employees and great stock. Great produce too! I don't usually buy produce at 99cents stores, but I recently got a great clamshell pack of hydroponic lettuce, cherry tomatoes, ginger, and a fresh coconut. Other times they have had really nice eggplants and pomegranates.. usually a very high ticket item. read more

Bad store. Dollar tree is soo much better. The staff here are rude and they have soo many items over 1$. I swear it's called 99 cent ONLY stores. Not 99 Mostly Stores. Am I a sucker? How can a company have this name and carry things over a dollar? Disgusting! Edit: After receiving a reply from the owner. My problem is the store is called "99 CENT ONLY STORES" not "99 AND ABOVE." I don't care if you label things better, change the entire name of the company read more

Went in to get some balloons blown up for my son's birthday party. The lady working there immediately informed me that they don't blow up balloons there. I asked if they sold any balloons at all to which she responded "no, we don't sell any balloons either." Mind you, I'm looking around the store seeing baby shower balloons that are clearly on display already blown up, with price tags on them. But I'm supposed to believe you guys don't blow up or sell ANY balloons... But wait! It gets better. As I'm leaving the store I happen to glance at the front window and what do I see? An advertisement for mylar balloons. I will attach a photo just to show you how ridiculous this store is for advertising a service they do not offer. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because I've had mostly good shopping experiences at this store up until now. read more

This is my first 1 star review. I was in line at the store, and there was a lady in front of me with over 100 items...which is completely fine...I was behind her with 3 cards. I was fine waiting. The cashier even had to call the manager over to take things off her bill. Again, no complaints. The part that got me upset, was his lack of customer service. He took the person behind me to another register to check them out instead of taking me which I was the next in line. That is not customer protocol. I mean it is seriously common sense. But he lacked that obviously. Some of you may say, it's a 99 cents only store...but again, that is just common courtesy. I will continue going to the La Verne store and the Dollar Tree. read more

Staff at this location when ringing up customers need to verify that on "Tuesday" deals that there is a limit to that product. If it says "limit 2" then That's it! It sells out in 10 minutes because they ring up whatever...., Manager needs to have meeting with staff! Otherwise, nice store. read more

Great place and it is massive. I usually find up spending at least 5 bucks here every single time I go in. Lots of stuff to choose from and the place is always clean. I recommend stopping by and seeing what tickles your fancy read more

This place is a bit on the dumpy side. Even as 99 cent stores go.... The merchandise is on the older side and some of it is broken, so choose carefully. The guy working there is a bit on the surley side and not very friendly. All in all, just a not very pleasant place to shop. Since we only went in for candy, we took a short look around and left pretty quickly. The odds are very slim we will be going backi read more

Terrible management, the lady manager Racquel acts like she is god! Someone gave her a job and it's obviously she let it go to her head. Very condescending towards customers and employees. It's a shame managers are not better leaders in this industry. Stay humble, it really is okay to treat others as you would like yourself. I wish I had a business and could tell all the employees, come work for me! read more

This store is the friendliest & most organized store in the SGV, the moment I walk in this store I feel like all my stress & worries disappear, i even forget what I originally came to shop for, I can't help to look down every isle its just so organized and well stocked. The lady in the produce department is constantly stocking and organizing and takes time to smile and greet me. the cashiers are also very friendly and helpful. I love the atmosphere this store has, the managers must treat their employees good for them to be as friendly as they are. Thank you for always giving excellent service San Dimas 99 cent store! I just left the store and was a little bothered. When we checked out, the cashier Shruti asked us if we were paying with an ebt card. I was really confused at why she asked my husband and I that question. She didn't ask that question to the customers before us. I feel like she asked that question because we are African-American. read more

Bigger than other 99 cent stores I have been to. It felt like we were waiting at the checkout line forever, even though there were at least three cashiers open on a Saturday evening. Other than that, this was a typical 99 cent store to me. I was surprised to see that this location ran out or didn't carry the generic dry Swiffer sheets or bagels I was planning to buy. read more

This is an awesome 99 cents store. I usually stay away from these types of stores. This one is very large. Everything is very clean and in order. I was really surprised at how everything was in order and clean, they have a lot of stock and good products that I honestly didnt expect. Its close to my job so its quite conveniant and I would recomend this location to anywaone. I will come back here sometime again soon ... read more

Probably the most cleanest 99 Cents Only Store, i've ever had the pleasure of going into. Me and my wife went into the store wanting some Halloween Supplies and we were both impressed with the quality of the selections. And the store is pretty big too which further impressed us. They had plenty of different items to choose from, and the staff was very friendly and helpful as well. I really like this store and will more then likely return back to it. read more

This place is great, they even have milk and vegetables (not for 99 cents, but hey, they do carry it). We stock up here for most of our backyard bbq's, they have all the paper plates and plasticware you could want. I got some applesauce that expired 7 days earlier once, but they're generally pretty good about that stuff. Even their celery is good! read more

I had purchased Dreyers Strawberry fruit bars this last weekend and went back to buy another box which has 6 bars. They had no more in a box of 6 for $.99. I was advised by an employee that the boxes were opened and put in the freezer to sell as individual bars each for $.99. Yet the other flavors were still in boxes of 6 and sold for $.99 per box (grapefruit not hot sellers from what i was told). I phoned another 99cent only store and the manager told me that they did not receive them for individual sale they were to be sold by the box for $.99. For all the community assistance that the $.99 cent store offers. I say TWO THUMBS DOWN FOR GREED!!! read more

This location was one of the nicest stores I have been to! It was very clean and they had bigger variety of items throughout the store! I was definitely in 99cent heaven lol you can't go wrong when everything in site is 99cent! It's in a pretty nice area as well with other nice stores. read more

The store was in top shape. The reason for my two star was because of the person who attended me. My niece and I were next and my niece whose 7 wanted to pay for her own by gaining her money of allowance. He told me that I couldn't do a separate transaction. Didn't even give a reason. We found some cute Disney bags that we got and when we got to the car I was going crazy looking for the other Disney bag! I went back thinking that I left it. He then tells me that it was "one item sold per house hold". He couldn't tell me that when I had paid? Again, I was going a little crazy looking for it. And to be honest, I was a little bothered of it. read more
