Sorry to say that the 99 Cent Store is no longer a 99 Cent store, even though the name has not changed. When they first started raising prices, I was told anything more than 99 cents would have the price marked on it. That is no longer the case. Today, I purchased 17 items. A few were marked at a higher price, but when I received my receipt, only 3 things were actually 99 cents. When I looked at the bill, the first two things I noticed were ketchup at $4 and a box of tea at $2.50. The biggest problem for me is that the prices are not marked. I shopped at the 99 Cent store because I live on a budget. The cost matters. If I can't know how much something is going to cost, then I can't price compare. After the 9 Cent store, I went to Target. That same ketchup (same brand name) was only 50 cents more than at the 99 Cent store. read more

Awesome location!! This is a clean, relatively not crowded location with very nice employees and great stock. Great produce too! I don't usually buy produce at 99cents stores, but I recently got a great clamshell pack of hydroponic lettuce, cherry tomatoes, ginger, and a fresh coconut. Went in to get some balloons blown up for my son's birthday party. The lady working there immediately informed me that they don't blow up balloons there. I asked if they sold any balloons at all to which she responded "no, we don't sell any balloons either." This is my first 1 star review. I was in line at the store, and there was a lady in front of me with over 100 items...which is completely fine...I was behind her with 3 cards. I was fine waiting. The cashier even had to call the manager over to take things off her bill. Again, no complaints. The part that got me upset, was his lack of customer service. He took the person behind me to another register to check them out instead of taking me which I was the next in line. That is not customer protocol. I mean it is seriously common sense. Staff at this location when ringing up customers need to verify that on "Tuesday" deals that there is a limit to that product. If it says "limit 2" then That's it! Me and my wife went into the store wanting some Halloween Supplies and we were both impressed with the quality of the selections. And the store is pretty big too which further impressed us. We stock up here for most of our backyard bbq's, they have all the paper plates and plasticware you could want. The store was in top shape. The reason for my two star was because of the person who attended me. My niece and I were next and my niece whose 7 wanted to pay for her own by gaining her money of allowance. He told me that I couldn't do a separate transaction. Didn't even give a reason.
