There were several people filling our glasses, clearing plates and providing excellent service without being intrusive. It didn't look great, but he isn't one to complain, especially if he wasn't paying. My friend got the gnocchi bolognese and added chicken. It was a lot of food and he seemed to really enjoy it! We sat for about 3 hours and were not rushed in any way which was super nice. We were so full but somehow split a piece of ricotta cheesecake and the men got cappuccino. All good. Overall, the appetizers were my husband's favorites ( we were celebrating him) the place was beautiful, the owner and servers went above and beyond, and we had a lovely evening. I will go back for sure. I liked that the menu offered both lighter fares, lower cost items, high end steaks and even one of those cheese wheels that look so cool but I can't eat that much pasta! The funny thing is that my wife's Irish relatives never eat that meal ... to expensive! For us, it's a treat. I had their offering of the celebrated meal and it was wonderful. It was also a very generous portion so besides a lusty lunch, I'm planning on a delicious dinner. My wife had their fish and chips (head scratching but she likes fish more that beef) and she called her meal yummy, yummy. The crowd at the restaurant was "out the door) so we did take out. That's a good option for these special annual events. I plan on visiting soon because we saw shepherd's pie on the menu and that's one of my favorite non-italian meals.
