Came here to watch the game and grab some food. We ordered plain wings, onion rings, and philly cheesesteak tots. The tots were absolutely phenomenal, I cannot wait to have them again. Service was good - perfect for a laid back time.

A small little bar by the tracks in Rockaway. Bridget and George provide a warm and welcoming environment. Lisa the bartender is not only easy 0n the eyes but has a great personality to match. Drinks are reasonably priced even on the economical side and so is the bar food. The quintessential hole in the wall/local hangout. I look forward to building a relationship with the owners and bar staff.

This is our favorite place to go, the previous owners were great and the new owners have kept it that way. Alone or with a group you'll feel right at home. The service, the food, the people, the drinks- can't beat it. A great local watering hole

Many years ago while trout fishing on the banks of the Rockaway River I stumbled upon this little Gin Mill type Tavern that I thought was your typical "old man bar." What I really found inside was anything but typical. This Family owned and operated Pub was very welcoming thanks to the fine folks here who instantly grabbed my affection and since then have never let go. Now, Great Times are always expected whenever I stop by and visit The Mill Lane Tavern and the atmosphere that feels like anyone's favorite Sports Bar or Pub, is always upbeat and fun. Anything and Everything from the Kitchen has my official Yelp seal of approval but the Cheese Steak Sandwiches and Cheese Burgers are what I would advise a first timer here to order. I think the well seasoned grill has something to do with the amazing flavor of anything that comes off of it. Now I'm Not the only one with some history here, the acclaimed and award winning Miramax Film "The Station Agent" starring Peter Dinklage used the Mill Lane for it's bar scenes. And the Town of Rockaway Borough also served as a backdrop for some other scenes in the Movie. But I will say this about that - It doesn't take a Movie Producer to figure out that this little Tavern Offers So Much More Than Meets the Eye!!

    Best Cheesesteak in town!

Great local pub in Rockaway Boro. Food is hot and fresh and drinks are always cold. Great place to stop for a bite and a few pints.

Mill Street Tavern is a great locals bar. The crowd is always friendly, unless there is a bar crawl coming through -- then it's drunken idiot 30 somethings. Otherwise the crowd is great, the prices are fair and if you go on Sunday during football season they have free food. It's been a while since I have been there but if i recall a pint of Railbender Ale was $4, which is certainly fair for a good beer in a town that doesn't serve very many, Really you cannot go wrong with this place; it may be tiny but it is cozy and whether your there for one or many you're sure to have a good time. The place is also interesting because the movie The Station Agent had a few scenes filmed in the bar.

Good little local dive bar along the tracks. BEWARE Fox News on with the sound up for the angry old guys at the end of the bar.

The chicken wings had a good crisp, the side salad I asked for was fresh, the cheese steak roll was pillowy soft and was nicely cheesy, and most importantly, the gentleman behind the bar who took our order was a fantastically nice guy The cons. The garlic parm sauce on the wings were a bit lacking and the amount of meat on the cheese steak was only half enough to really fill that long roll. And the most irksome thing was the 2,23 % "technology fee". No offense but WTH is that?????? If it was to use the credit card, it wasn't explained at all. Look, if you like a funky bar with good food and you are in the area, I would say check it out once in your life and form your opinion. But, for me, I just don't know how often

The pick up process was smooth and they were right on time when we arrived. Everything is carefully packaged with clear instructions about how to reheat. I love the sweet potato casserole with the marshmallows on top, but not everyone in my family likes marshmallows, so it was nice that the marshmallows were packaged separately, so we prepared some of the sweet potatoes with them and some without. I'm very particular about brussels sprouts and these were outstanding. I loved the mustard seeds in them. I highly recommend Black Horse Inn for a take home Thanksgiving meal.

The restaurant is beautifully renovated and maintains it's rustic charm despite the modern touches. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food was so-so; we really were hoping to be blown away by the menu. We ordered the tuna tartare and French onion soup for appetizers. Entrees ordered were steak frites and marinated grilled shrimp. I was surprised at the way the tuna tartare was presented - it felt more like a mushy salad. Also, the tzatziki that was part of the marinated grilled shrimp did not resemble or taste like traditional tzatziki. The shrimp, however, was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. We definitely appreciated the history of the place and that was an experience to remember.
