I give this place 2 stars only because how good the food is. My boyfriend and I went there last night for burgers, they sat us down immediately and we literally waited 45 minutes before our orders were taken, the family of four that was seated after us got their food before & and faster than we did. It really angered me because after a long day at work I just wanted to eat, and the worst part was that waiters and waitresses walked by us saw that we didn't have any water or food and when we tried to say something they'd walk away. Food was good, service was not. I went one night with my friend to have dinner. The place was crowded, but there were table to sit at. We waited by the door for at least 5 minutes without anyone coming over to us, so we took it upon ourselves to sit at the bar and eat. Waiter and bartender were all over the place. We waited about 1 hour to be served a burger, and by that time we were starving! Couldn't wait to eat and leave. Would go to Bareburger again, but not the one in Rye. read more

My girlfriend and I recently ate at Rye Bareburger and were Greatly disappointed after having a wonderful experience at Hartsdale location. Upon entering restaurant .... we stood at the door for a few minutes until a server said from across the room " just pick a table..." We sat ourselves and then sat there with no menus for about 5 minutes and no response from the staff... After seating 3 other tables with menus and greetings Finally server came over, gave us menus, and asked if we wanted anything to drink....and we ordered 2 milk shakes Then another server came over and mumbled 3 times "can I assume you are ready to order" Eventually original server came back and She asked if it was our 1st time here. We needed time to look at menu... Finally she came back and we ordered ring and fries... she put that in and then a few minutes later we ordered our burgers.... Both were supposed to be cooked medium Both were over cooked Greatly disappointed Servers seemed inconvenienced by our presence and made us feel rushed and unwelcome... No hostess/manager was present but there is no excuse for poor service I would like to make it known I have NEVER written a review.... but this was just a sad disappointment after having such a great experience at Hartsdale location! best Impossible burger I've ever had! you have to try it... you seriously won't notice it's not beef. yes, it's a little pricier than fast food burgers but you're paying for quality plus the burgers are huge. fries were great; next time I'll skip the shake given how big my burger was. we got Doordash delivery -- it was really fast and they did a great job with mostly compostable packaging too. read more

The food here is really good, I have to start by saying that. The meatless burgers are astonishingly similar to the real thing. I have also tried their bison burger and chicken sandwich, both of which were delicious. Unfortunately our experiences here also came with service issues. We've eaten in or taken out here 3 times in the last 6 months or so and each time something went wrong with service. The first occasion was a milk shake order that took 30 min. Wait staff was apologetic for delay and said they just had too many milkshake orders and couldn't keep up. The second occasion was a delayed drink order which came almost when meal was done. The third occasion I went to pickup a takeout order placed via app, and after 30 min of standing there waiting it turned out my order had been inadvertently taken by the delivery driver. Manager was apologetic and very fair in how he handled the situation. I will come back and hope to be able to add another star to my review. read more

Went to bare burger a few weeks ago with kids and Husband. Everything was fantastic. I don't eat red meat (everyone else does) and there was plenty of Choice for me. Staff were knowledgeable and patient with my fussy kids and the quality of the food was great - so much better than other US chains. We will definitely return - often! read more

So, I came here, despite the mixed reviews I saw about this restaurant. I'm glad I came! The food here is delicious and the waitress was really friendly! When we first entered the restaurant, we were kinda lost because there was a hostess counter but there was no one there to greet us. After a few seconds, we assumed that it was the type of place where you can just sit yourself, so we did. The waitress came quickly and greeted us with menus soon after she saw us sit down - which made up for the confusing beginning of our visit. We both ordered from the Be My Burger Menu, which is a build your burger section. We both ordered the black bean burger with different toppings and a side of sweet potato fries... my goodness! I've eaten bean burgers elsewhere but this one takes the prize! The bread was buttery sweet, lightly toasted on the outside, soft and warm on the inside! The patty itself looked and had the texture of a burger - how do they do that? Overall, great experience with both the food and service. Would definitely go again! read more

I get the health option approach but what we got were 2 mediocre burgers and soggy sweet potato fries for almost $30! There were almost too many options and hostess seemed very impatient while I tried to order quickly. Even though I was basically the only one there it took 20 minutes for the food and buns/beef were so dry we couldn't finish them. I give them kudos for the veggies and size of patty, but I found myself wishing we stopped at BK instead... Also how can your fries at a burger joint be soggy?? This may have been the best burger I've ever had and I grew up in Texas. I built my own Turkey Burger and had a side of rings and sweet fries. Everything is natural and organic which you can tell through how great it tastes and how light it feels in your stomach. I wish they would open a Bareburger in Texas! Definitely recommend and they're building a outdoor seating area soon according to a sign which will be great for the summer months! read more

I do not like to do this, and I rarely do...but we were very disappointed with the service today. We thought it would be a nice lunch after many people suggested it as a family friendly place. In fact, several tables with children were there. The restaurant was not packed yet we waited a long time to be greeted by server and even longer to get our drinks, one which was spilled on the floor. despite a nice atmosphere and friendly staff, Bareburger is pretty adverse in quality. I was there a few months and and the food was fantastic. But, coming back today, our Sodas never arrrived because the water leaked and the pressure chamber exploded. After seeing other options that were available, we were told that the pink lemonade machine was also not functioning properly. Also, our food took a while to come out and was not cheap at about $30 a person. Overall, Bareburger is a good place to relax and have some fun, but the fluxuation in quailty makes the dining experience more stressful than it has to be. read more

Just really terrible service. Everything took forever, the check was incorrect, and the place is dirty. A bucket full of dirty dishes has been sitting on the table next to us for 15 minutes and it smells! Other tables are uncleared 20 minutes after people left. The people are nice and the food is fine but the experience was just gross. read more

I would've given this place 5 stars because their food is amazing, you can literally taste the freshness in the burger BUT our waitress seemed very lost! The place was not busy the entire time we were there but she did not check on us after she served us our food. Had dinner here tonight. Really happy Bareburger finally opened in our neighborhood. Used to go to the one in Harbor Point, Stamford but really like the service here better. Maybe it's because it's new. Bison "make your own" burger is the best. Wild Boar is close second. The Hudson salad with Haas avocado is the best and comes in a nice bowl. Sweet potatoes are always really good and the organic shakes with hemp milk are so thick. Parking available on the street or you can park in the lot in the back. read more

I have been to Bareburger a few times. Last time, I had the Impossible Burger, which looks and tastes just like meat, but its not! Not just a veggie burger, but really amazing. The place is a bit pricey, hence the 4 stars. Also, the place in Rye has wine on tap, which was terrible. I sent it back. Cheap tasting. They do have a better selection of beers. I went with my husband and son. The food and drinks were very good, but the service was bad. The waiter was polite but forgetful, the person that brought the appetizer did not know what type of sauces came with the onion rings and sweet potatoes fries. We stood for a wile waiting for the waiter to take our order, after we were done it took them some time to pick up the plates and then when we ask for the desert menu he went to get them, but because he started to talk to another waiter then forgot to bring the menus. We hade to ask another writer to bring them. I am giving the food 5 stars, but I will give the service 2 stars. read more

The food is fine. The service is downright horrible. The gentleman who was at the host stand offered me a choice of an already cleared table or one he needed to clear. Since, I was with my young child and a booth is easier I agreed to wait. Perfectly understandable. I'm watching him clear and notice a waitress interrupt him, not once but twice, and I start to consider this may not be the best place for lunch - I should have honored that intuition. Anyway the nice guy seats us, takes a drink order and I settle my child and myself - after well over five minutes interrupting waitress SITS DOWN OPPOSITE US and starts chatting me up, like she's my BFF. She was far too familiar (and sitting next to my open tote, which bothered me) and then doesn't stop chatting until I ask who she is. She tells me she's Christina my waitress and asks if I'd like to start with drinks to which I replied I already gave the nice guy a drink order. She makes a face (who relies on tips and makes faces at customers? Who) and leaves. Now, we wait another five minutes for drinks and to place our food order with nice guy. He brings the order, checks on us and I think - great, I'm spared that nitwit until I ask for the check and she arrives with a tablet type device and starts clearing plates. I have to ask her to wrap my kid's leftovers (there was half a sandwich and most of the fries - but of course, another face) and I ask for the check. Well she tells me the total and walks away to return with two containers which she all but throws at me. So, I proceed to box up our food as I wait for the bill - which I notice she doesn't leave. I have to flag her down again to ask for the check - she verbally tells me the total and again I ask for the check. The expert face maker is at it again and this time treats me to a super sassy "oh, did you want it printed?" Well yes, yes I did. I paid the bill and for the first time in my life I left no tip. That's how awful the service was - I did momentarily feel badly for the nicer guy, but, she really just needs a reality check. I most certainly will never return to any Bareburger location and I seriously advise anyone who likes to be treated with a bit of civility stay away, too. read more
