Grew up in Hubba's and was back home and missing it. A cousin who is la at the perfect age for late night Hubba's stops said he comes here all the time. I believe items connected somehow (former partner? Not sure). Looks completely different and has a much more extensive menu and full restaurant seating. But when you get the Texas chili dog and chili cheese fries to go it brings you right back to Pat's counter. The smell. The grease. The paper plates. The heat of that chili. It was everything. My pops always goes there to buy me food and I always love it, the taste and flavor and love in the food is just amazing. Can't go wrong with Texas Chili. I grew up eating at Hubba's which I believe to be the original restaurant, or at least the inspiration for Texas Chili. The food is downright good. No question about it. Should you eat it on a regular basis...prob not, but definitely ok to please the greasy craving you light have or late night eats after a night of drinking. The chili is really what makes everything taste so good. You can literally put it on anything and everything. The recipe does taste slightly different than what I remember, but still amazing. Be careful...it does have kick to it. Nothing out of control but will get ya if you're not expecting the spice or don't have a tolerance for heat. I don't live in PC anymore, but always make it a point to stop in and grab some chili for the road. The restaurant itself is clean and has a lot more space than Hubba's did. Only issue is parking can be a bit tricky, but not impossible. Glad to see this Port Chester staple is still around! read more

You ever find a place that just always hits the spot whenever you go? You don't eat it all the time but when you're in the area you treat yourself. That's what this place is for me. Decor: nothing fancy. Small, clean spot with some countertop seating and table seating. Might be 4-5 tables each with 4 chairs. You won't be shoulder to shoulder with someone else but you might not want to host an event there. And there's almost always a soccer game playing. Service: about what you would expect from a spot like this. A man or woman behind the counter, all smiles, has a little bit of an accent. Food coming out like quickfire. Food: I'm gonna be honest...this food isn't the most health conscious. It's spicy. It's greasy. Some of it is fried. With all that said...I DONT CARE! I wouldn't advise nose diving into their menu. Take it slow. The Chilli is spicy so you might want to get it on the side for the first time to test your limits. I have been waiting and waiting for Hubba's to open back up, and then I found this place somehow. I can't tell if it's the same owners and just a new location or what. They have even started taping the dollar bills to the ceiling! But it's the exact same food and the best chili I have ever had. Prices are so reasonable, and service is friendly and fast! So if you've been to Pats Hubbas it's nothing new. I usually come here for my chili fixing now a days. Mostly because they offer the Chili Cheese Salchipapas it's a must try if your here. I have driven down here from ulster county at 3 am just for their chili. The meat is far better quality and temp than that of Hubba's, also the spice is superior and won't leave you with the feeling of food poisoning. Avocado and chicken tenders make a happy customer here at T-Chili, in fact it has become a SUNY Purchase legend for students who are in the know, because if you eat there once, you acquire a curse known as "The Quiero" or the unending desire to eat T-Chili at all hours of forever. This establishment is truly my favorite eatery in the world, and coming from a man who has lived in Paris for over a decade and in Tuscany for 4 months, that means a lot. It even has the same "hubba water" with a small amount of Kool-Aid in it. the chili is similar, but it certainly has it's own twist to it. I wish I could put zero stars. I came to Texas Chilli on Sunday April 3,2016 at 6:30pmfor a take out order. I order two Texas dogs to stay. The lady that works Sunday is the worst. She must know the owner or something because when it comes to customer service from 1-10. She gets a -1. I told her I wanted two hotdogs well done "burned" the first Texas dog was prefect. However the second hotdog I try to eat was well under cook. I inform the servicer about how the hotdog was under cook. She replied back with an attitude. I told her if she can make the hot dog over since I'm a paying customer she rolled her eyes and started talking Spanish to the chef.
