New England clam chowder
Sarah B.

This place is really more of a 4.5 and the food here is a 4. Maybe a little confused, but good quality. What really makes this place is the service. Our server was so friendly and welcoming. They are clearly creating an environment meant for the whole family. They are truly catering to the community. They have good happy hour specials and we were told kids (I think under 12) eat free on Sundays, and I can say we will definitely go back with the small human. Like I said, the menu is a little all over the place. It's definitely meant for comfort, but it was kind of hard to tell what direction it was meant to be. We got cocktails and they were great. Definitely had a southern, down home kind of vibe. We started with the nachos and soup of the day which was New England clam chowder. Both apps were great. The soup was really hearty. It's not always my favorite because when not done well, I really don't like it, but their New England clam chowder was truly exceptional. Nachos were loaded up and really good. For mains we got the BBQ duo of chicken breast and ribs. The chicken really was just chicken breast with bbq sauce on it, so nothing special but at least cooked well. The ribs were tender. We also got rigatoni rustico, which sounded more interesting than it was (it had a creamy Dijon sauce, which is what prompted us to order it, but the Dijon was hard to taste). That being said, it was still very nice. Overall, the menu was a little all over the place. It might be better if they picked a direction (definitely seemed geared more southern) and focused on whittling down the menu. If I could give half stars, I would give them a 4.5, but I'm rounding up to a 5 for exceptional service and a great vibe for the entire family. They're really aiming to serve their community and I love that.

Good location with a nice open space. Fun drinks and good food options. Truffle fries were tasty, as was the chicken fontina. All well seasoned and flavorful. Prices were reasonable as well. Service was friendly and timely. Great stop and family friendly.

Shotgun Shrimp
Flat bread & fried shrimp tossed in a sriracha aioli and cheese

Stopped in on 11/1/25 and left happy (and full). The Twice Baked Wings were the highlight -- big, meaty, perfectly dry-rubbed, and roasted until crisp without being greasy. The blue cheese and celery were classic touches done right. The Crispy Chicken Sandwich hit all the right notes -- juicy breast, crispy coating, honey mustard that actually had flavor, and the bacon/swiss combo sealed the deal. Fries were solid, nothing special but cooked well. The Shotgun Shrimp Flatbread was a fun surprise -- spicy, cheesy, and loaded with shrimp tossed in that sriracha aioli. A little messy, but worth it. Service was friendly and the food came out hot. Not a five-star, but definitely a spot I'd come back to for wings and a sandwich.

We were in the mood for salads and decided to head to Barnstone Grill. It was a great choice. Salads were fresh and delicious. I got the Barnstone salad that had plenty of salami and cheeses and roasted red peppers. It was perfect. My friend got the chopped salad, which had a beautiful chicken breast on top. We shared it. It was juicy and perfect. Our waiter was really nice and polite. Very efficient. We will be back.

Sedona will always hold a special place in my heart. It was where my fiancée and I had our very first date six years ago, and now we are getting ready to be married. That's why we were excited to see what Barnstone Grill would bring to the area. The food is excellent. I had the crispy chicken sandwich (pictured) and it was spot on--crispy, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for. The menu feels fresh and the quality is clear. What truly sets Barnstone apart is the service. Jackie has taken care of us on our last two visits and turned each meal into an experience we will remember. Her energy and attention to detail made the night special and made us feel at home. Sedona will always be part of my story, but I am just as excited for the new memories Barnstone Grill is helping create. We will absolutely be back.

Grilled Salmon with Fries and Broccoli

We come to Sedona Tap House once or twice a year, as we're based in the city and not specifically Mamaroneck. But it's always been something we look forward to. I actually wasn't aware of the rebranding until we got there this week. So we were a bit shocked to see so many of our favorite menu items missing. No more jam bruschetta. No more sweet potato fries. No more asparagus. And so on. And the quality of the food the new menu did manage to maintain was a major downgrade. In my attached images are salmon with sides of fries and broccoli from this week's visit, as well as salmon with sides of sweet potato fries and asparagus from last May (before the rebranding). Major difference. I never actually write reviews--I'm just sad to see a yearly favorite go down so much in quality. At first I thought they just changed the menu, and it wasn't until we got our food that I began questioning the quality. Then I searched online to find out about the rebranding. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be coming back again unless things change. As a side note, it took our waiter quite a long time to come take our order, as well as to come back to the table so I can ask for the check.

eggs benedict

I was a bit sad that this is no longer Sedona Taphouse as the roman parmesan crusted chicken was one of my comfort meals here!! I decided to give it a try for brunch and it was solid! The service was great, the vibe felt virtually same. The guava peach lemonade was absolutely fantastic, will definitely be getting that every time I come here. I got the eggs benedict and I was excited because the hollandaise had the perfect texture but taste wise I am STILL searching for the best hollandaise in Westchester --still haven't found one that's wowed me yet. I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to that (sorry!) But I enjoyed everything else and had some of the French toast that my friend got, I really enjoyed that it was so flavorful with the spices. I find that it can be difficult sometimes to get French toast to not just taste like soggy egg bread but this one did have the cinnamon-y seasoning down pretty good. My only wish is that it was a bit thicker like the name "Texas" French toast suggests! But I will definitely be coming back for dinner in the near future!

Mimosa's

We went for brunch and were happy to see there was an unlimited mimosa option for two hours on the menu. Our waiter Hunter was great we informed him we would be fully taking advantage of that option and he assured us that he would accommodate us. Well he did our drinks were never empty every time we finished a drink he was there with more The food was also very good. Service friendly and quick i have a dietary restriction which they were also able to accommodate. We will be back.

I also want to preface this by saying that I think this place is a solid choice and it is not a bad place to grab a bite or a drink. I have been a couple of times now. While I would go back again, I wouldn't go out of my way to go there. The ambience is good. It's a nice space and it does have space for both larger and smaller groups. The wait staff is also very nice and I have zero issue with them. The food is good enough, although not spectacular. They are definitely going for a high end bar/brunch/dinner spot. A step up from a local pub, a little bit more of a shine/elegance to them. The vibe is actually great for a larger group. The most recent time we went, our table got steak nachos, a burger, the sweet potato and rice bowl (with shrimp added), and a steak sandwich. The steak sandwich was reportedly really good (I didn't try it) and looked nice. The nachos were fine, not great. Didn't feel like there was enough cheese, but the steak on it was actually really nice. The rice bowl was really not exciting. There was nothing elevated or nuanced about it. The shrimp was the best part and was beautifully cooked and seasoned, but that was an add on and I would have been disappointed with it if not for the addition of the shrimp (which then made the bowl over $25). We ordered the burger medium rare, and it came very well done. To be fair, when we mentioned it to the server, she took it off of the bill, which we appreciated. Overall, I would say the food is hit or miss. Most of our proteins were cooked very nicely and with good flavor, but the other parts of the meal were just fine, not great. The price point is such that I expect a little more for what I am paying. That being said, the staff is nice and the ambience is good, so for a quick and easy meal, it's worth it if you are in the area.

We arrived around 5:00pm ahead of the rush and were seated right away. Parking is easy with the adjacent lot shared with the train station, which makes this a convenient pre-commute option. The space is bright, airy, and modern, with a lively but comfortable energy. We were seated in the main dining room, and once the staff realized we were on a tight schedule, they were locked in, attentive, efficient, and mindful of timing without making us feel rushed. We started with the chipotle calamari, crispy with a smoky kick and balanced by a hint of lemon and sweetness from the balsamic glaze. I went with the Rails Burger, an 8 oz Wagyu blend topped with caramelized onions, mushrooms, bacon, and melted Monterey Jack, paired with sweet potato fries. A solid, satisfying choice done right. A versatile spot that works just as well for a casual bite as it does for a more elevated night out. Definitely one we come back to.

She had suggested Marlowe as she had heard good things about it - I had never been (or heard) of this spot before so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to check out a new spot and catch up, so off we went. Marlowe is located off Mamaroneck Ave, in a semi-isolated area which is on-brand for a brewery. The space isn't too large - it's rectangular-shaped with a lot of light pouring in and a variety of seating available. They did the place up nicely - it definitely gives off brewery vibes with tasteful decor such as hanging string lights and plants. I am admittedly not a big beer drinker, so I opted to a cocktail. I had one of the mule selections which was very good. It almost goes without saying when we go out, but we also had some food. They have a good selection of bar-esque fare like sandwiches, burgers, apps, etc. I also noticed they had a selection of tacos so I went with those. We were able to mix and match so I went with a shrimp and a chicken. Both were good - generous with the fillings with accents that really complemented the flavor of the protein. The chips that came on the side were house made/kettle style and were good as well. We also ordered some eggplant chips to share - I wasn't a big fan of these. They were too thick and kinda greasy - I've had fried eggplant chips at other places which do them better. Service was great - the bartenders were really friendly and we got some great insight into the history of the place. Overall, I had a great time at Marlowe - it was wonderful catching up with a friend, and the overall experience memorable (even for a sporadic beer drinker like me). If I found myself back here I wouldn't be disappointed.

I either read about Marlowe's on Hoyt Ave in Mamaroneck in my Westchester Magazine while living in White Plains or it was somehow swirling on Yelp. In any case, the food caught my attention and mayyyybe their only 2 cocktail offerings. Plus it was wonderful coming to Westchester after living in the county for 22 years and meeting my friend Jason M. over laughs, life and of course, gossip. With two entrances leading up to their sit down area and large bar, we decided on hi-tops to somehow get a nice scope of Marlowe's- especially an eye-catching floral black and white wall on one side. The food menu is tempting and fierce and when the manager(?) repeatedly told us the cook makes tasty food- that was good sign. The Eggplant chips with a hot honey drizzle my friend and I shared were on thick side- but good. Somehow, I felt these would be on the thin side like the ones he introduced me to at Polpettina in Eastchester. My Portabella taco with corn, cauliflower+other veg was delicious. So was my shrimp taco with red cabbage, cilantro+other veg. Being that I'm not a fan of creamy sauces on some foods, I didn't even mind the crema on each of my tacos. Needless to say, both my tacos were filled to the brim with substance. My only qualm is that one tortilla was used and didn't hold much. Because of the single ply, I was in a bit of a mess- so a second tortilla would be perfect for added strength. Service was fantastic though. Since my friend and I aren't beer drinkers, there was no pressure to drink it.
