    The delicious patty melt
    Amy P.

I had such a nice lunch here. The waitresses are fabulous, very nice and efficient. I ordered a patty melt which was tasty, really crispy and delicious. My friend ordered the Asian salad which was beautiful to look at, and had an extremely tasty peanut dressing, sliced oranges, Red cabbage and delicious tender strips of chicken. my Malibu Baybreeze was delicious and strong! it was a peaceful lunch as we sat back and watched the golfers putting. I definitely recommend.

I came in after playing 9 holes of golf and was mightily parched. The frosty Diet Coke and water was most appreciated! Service was slightly sluggish but ok. The nachos we're great. Served piping hot with perfect proportions of chili, cheese and chips! They were crispy too not soggy. Plentiful portions too!!! I was by myself and was super lucky to snag a seat by the outdoor patio TV. I played 9 holes of golf and was embarrassingly bad BUT--guess what? Since I snagged the twilight special, I got a 10 dollar voucher and my entire meal--sans tip, was $3.00. Check out picture. Uhhh....the 1960s called and wanted this lucky diner to not forget to write his review.

Food is excellent. Outdoor seating and music. Add the great food and how can you go wrong.

For a distinctly modest setting -- a county golf course -- the lunch food and service are darn good.

They have updated the bar and the dining room. The wood is lighter. The bar doesn't smell like old beer any more. We get there at 11:30. By noon, there's already a long wait. Service is friendly. The chicken wings are a top three rendition. We always order ours crispy. They stopped serving celery on the side a while ago. As a purist, I bring a ziplock bag of celery sticks. I say raise the price of an order of wings by 50 cents and serve celery again! The waffle fries are great. They have a surprisingly diverse menu with a big selection of beers. There are desserts, but I have never been disciplined enough to save room. It's cash only. This is the platonic ideal of a burger and wing joint. Set the celery sticks free!

Still consistently delicious. Large meaty wings and drummies, connected. Lots of sauce, to the point when you break them apart, there's a lot of splatter (I think I hit a kid with some sauce about two tables away). Service very good, prices comparable to other wing places. I asked my waiter how many pounds they sold on Super Bowl Sunday. He mentioned "between 18 and 19 thousand pounds!!!" Wow, double wow. Vast majority are ordered in advance and this year they cut off orders about a week before the game. This trip was a solo run for me. My wingmen were nowhere to be found. 4 very sloppy stars

We have been coming to 808 since it opened 15+ years ago. Chef Sal never disappoints. They are…read moresuper accommodating with special requests and their menu is extensive, but thoughtful, so you know every dish will be as delicious as the next. We recently hosted a dinner party there for nearly 30 people from 8-80 years of age. They gave us half the restaurant (it's small-ish but well laid out) and the service was outstanding. Every one of our guests was literally RAVING about the food. The kids had "kid friendly" options as well as the "adult" choices available to them. We had spills, late arrivals, and picky eaters. Every one of them was pleased and STUFFED! Truly a seamless and stress free event for us as the hosts. Cannot recommend 808 Bistro enough. Ample street parking. Check meters or signs for parking times and prices-- they do ticket frequently on that road. Thank you to Sal and team! A neighborhood gem that's a privilege to enjoy! You would swear you're in NYC with decor, service and most importantly, the amazing food.

I am also not sure if the menu is available during regular hours but after my meal I certainly hope so! I myself for my first course ordered the soup of the day which was butternut squash soup. It was so velvety and creamy and with squash being in season, the perfect amount of sweetness. For my second course I ordered the pumpkin gnocchi with cognac cream sauce. I loveee gnocchi and the texture of it. It's like chewy clouds of pasta. I love how sauces coat the gnocchi and this sauce was amazing!!! Pumpkin makes for a great pasta sauce! For dessert I got the chocolate brownie. You can never go wrong with a warm brownie. I have yet to meet a brownie I didn't like. My mother got the mixed green salad, the branzino and the apple strudel. I got a nibble of each (for sake of my review). The salad had all the perfect components of a salad. Sweetness from the cranberries, creaminess from the goat cheese, nuttiness from the pecans, the caramelized sweetness from the squash and of course the tartness from the dressing. As for the branzino, the skin on the fish was nice and crispy and perfectly cooked and seasoned well. The veggies were perfect as well. As for the dessert as I always say a warm dessert is always the best option! I can't wait to come back during regular business hours and try other things on their menu!
